Alamo Rent A Car

I had to add an extra day when I picked up my rental car from the San Jose Airport location, which more than doubled the cost. This didn’t seem right, but it wasn’t able to be resolved at the counter, and wasn’t resolved when I called customer service. When I dropped the car off, Eddie Howard asked me about my experience. He could tell that something didn’t go well and asked additional questions. When I explained the situation, Eddie took the time to look into it and help me resolve it. I am so grateful for his help as it saved me from paying a lot of unexpected additional money. Eddie was friendly and helpful, and even went above and beyond the usual good customer service I’ve experienced renting through Alamo.

The staff were friendly and very helpful. The process was quick and easy which is ideal when traveling all day. I flew from the east coast to the west coast and was pleasantly surprised with how smooth the whole process was. I even called to extend my reservation and was able to take care of that with a 5 minute phone call.

I rented a midsize SUV for 4 days. The car is very new ~3.2K miles only. Staff is friendly. Both paper work and car pick up took me ~20min. Retuning the car was also quick and easy. I like the team, very professional. I'm very happy with Alamo rental car service.

We had a very positive experience with Alamo at SJC. We were able to skip the line and go right to the car. There is no need for a shuttle to the rental car center in SJC. We were able to choose a new one month old car which performed well and still smelled new. The return was easy. Eileen was friendly and personable. She did her job with a smile. Everything was efficient. We will use Alamo again soon.

I recently rented a car from Alamo Rent A Car at San Jose, California Airport, and I had a wonderful experience. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the process of renting the car was quick and easy. I was also able to get a great deal on the rental through Costco car rental site.
The staff was friendly and helpful. Especially Arturo and Bryce Shishido. They made my renting process was quick and easy on Christmas day. I was able to pick up my car in just a few minutes.

Never rented at San Jose airport. It was very easy and convenient. The staff I worked with were very friendly and helpful. Anthony helped me select the car and did a check of the vehicle, helped me with pictures and showed me everything. Haidee made my return so fast and easy and directed me where I needed to go. I would def rent through Alamo at the airport again.

My curbside check in was amazing. The car was ready as soon as I got there. What a great experience. Drop off was just as great. The people were so helpful. I would recommend Alamo to all my family and friends

The car was in excellent condition and performed perfectly throughout our trip. Pickup and drop off were super easy. I'd highly recommend them and will return for my rental car needs while in San Jose!

Overall I was very pleased with their service. I would only mention two areas that disappointed. First, when we arrived at the rental counter at our appointed time, there was no one there. We discovered 15 minutes later that the lone worker at the National counter was also serving Alamo (partners?). Second, the first car we started out in had a brake problem before we left the building. The attendant was very helpful and immediately allowed us to switch cars. Other than these two things, we had a great experience. Definitely will use them again!

We were in a rush to catch our flight but we wanted to share our comments on how the interior car temperature was not working properly. Kelvin checked us in and out quickly. Also, Kelvin said he would place a note to fix it for the next customer. We had great service from Kelvin at Alamo Rent-A-Car at SJC airport.

We tend to use Alamo Rent-A-Car when we visit San Jose. Our last visit, which took place on January 30, 2024 was rather interesting. As usual, we utilize pre-check in so that we don’t have to stand in line at the counter. We went to collect our vehicle and noted an exceptionally long line. There was only one person (Shelly), assisting customers. There was a woman in line, who was clearly unhappy about the wait time, and verbalized her displeasure to Shelly. Shelley maintained her decorum and continued to work efficiently connecting customers with their vehicles. Thank you Shelley, and thank you Avis for hiring stellar employees.

We were were given an upgrade for no additional charges. Brand new SUV! Still had the new-car smell. Great service.

From picking up the car to dropping it off. Everybody was so nice for this overnight car rental! I’ve been having issues with another company who shall not be named, so it was very refreshing to receive great customer service from start to finish!

Great experience! Make sure to fill in information online to obtain a “skip the counter” ticket, so that you can directly go upstairs to select a car. The car we rented is clean and in great condition.

First, the rental car pickup/drop off at SJC is very easy.
I was greeted immediately upon arrival. Made my choice of vehicle, had my questions answered and went on my way. Very nice gal, Aileen, checked me out upon return. Would definitely rent from Alamo again.

Smooth and Easy Car Rental. Skip the counter is convenient and such a time saver since I’m pressed for time during my day trips in the SJC area.
Car was clean and ready to go when I picked it up. Drop off in the evening was just as easy as the morning pick up.

From beginning to end I was pleasantly surprised by Alamo’s friendly smooth customer service and seamless process. The free upgrade to an Audi was fun too! Theodros was helpful and happy and made me smile.
