Payless Car Rental

Needed a rental car last minute at the San Jose airport. I prepaid on the app when I got to the rental counter everything was very smooth and efficient. The gentleman that helped me was nice and professional whole process took about 15 minutes. The car was beautiful and clean, and in great condition, I even received an upgrade at no cost. Total cost for the rental for 2 1/2 days Was appropriately priced in my opinion. I will use them again .

The professional assistants are the best part of the experience! The car was clean and perfect for my needs. Drop off was great, a cheerful guy greeted me, helped me with my questions and got me on my way!

Fast, easy and significantly lower priced. Brand new Kia Optima with 219 miles on it. We arrived late evening and the rental desk was closed with signs noting to use the Avis desk. They had our complete reservation and was processed quickly. This was my first use of Payless and would definitely use again. I was hesitant after reading many of the reviews but took a chance due to the savings.
I think many of the bad reviews come from first time renters not understanding Rental car policy for all companies to not accept Debit Cards. The was a women at the counter having fight over the very same issue when we picked up our car. I don't think people are aware that all rental companies do not accept Debit cards.

I have rented cars from Payless more than a dozen times in the last 4 months. Most of that was from Austin Texas. The willingness from the staff to ensure that you are satisfied is above the other companies that I have rented from in the past. Their prices are the best that there is from any of the rental companies they compete against. My rental experience in San Jose was just as satisfying.

I have rented from them twice this year. One time I had accidentally made the reservation for the wrong date and the gentleman at the counter worked with me to find a car at a price that was actually cheaper than what I was expecting. He could have chosen to increase the charge as I was a week early for my reservation to the same day price but he was very kind I appreciate it!

This is the 3rd time that I used Payless Car Rental in less than a year. The staff, Daniel in SJC counter was nice, courteous and helpful. Price is competitive and I they carry the car that I surprisingly enjoyed driving. Two thumbs up guys! Please continue the good work!

I had a surprisingly painless experience at this Payless. I had read horror stories online so I double checked every paper and asked questions about return time, charges etc. In the end every employee was helpful and courteous, the car was just fine and I paid what I was told at the onset. I'll probably patronize them again.

I don't really recommend rental car companies to anyone, but my experience with Payless was way better than what I had with Fox on my last trip. Payless did nothing wrong, which is all you can ask for: clean car, full tank, reliable.

Humberto is the sales person who was extremely helpful, he was super kind to us, and always with a smile on his face and the service was top notch. We rented a car for the holidays, and had some minor issue with it, but we were able to swap the car with no problems! I'd rent a car from Payless again as long as Humberto works there.

The entire rental process was quick and easy and I was able to use my debit card for the Rental and deposit

I drove to Avis rental return, the return sign does not show where to park budget/Payless, and I drove to the exit, the attendant was very helpful, he gave me the receipt and backup my car, so i can drove towards the elevators. Super service.

Great service. Only annoying part was waiting in a long line to get the car, but that was the fault of my fellow customers, none of them knew anything about anything from what I overheard.

This is my first time renting from Payless via American Airline. It was a pleasant experience despite having to wait a while for a car.
