Ortega Park

Best park for walking and jogging, getting together, playing and relaxing. It is one of the best maintained parks in Sunnyvale with lovely plants, trees and lawns. dog friendlyness with rest rooms and sitting benches. I love this vibrant area.

This a very popular park with lots of green space and activities going on. There are two main play structures (one gated for younger kids), a set of swings (4 big kid and 4 little kid), and a rock climbing structure. There are lots of picnic benches and regular benches nearby as well as a very nice grill area. The grill area does seem like it needs to be reserved to use. There are lots of walking paths and a large gazebo. Many different groups were there practicing different physical activities and even a music class too. There is also a water play area/spray ground that is open in warmer weather. There are public restrooms and a large parking lot (approximately 40 spots) plus street parking. There is a basketball court, tennis court, and it looks like either a soccer or cricket area as well. The area does start getting popular early so just be prepared. Overall a lovely park where lots of people come to enjoy a day outside.

Totally cute park! Busy during peak hours but there is plenty of spots for everyone! I was talking pictures of 26 families over one weekend and this park provided amazing background even during those peak hours! Such a gem!

A beautiful park with shaded areas all around. So many courts - tennis, basketball. Saw people playing cricket as well.

I’ve been there for dance practice with friends and also for walks with friends.

Really like this park as it has good parking spots around and has lovely trees around.

What a beautiful public park to either walk your dog , take your kids to play in the playground, book for party, small events, or teach a class of yoga or tachi .

Large enough to do all these activities yet have plenty of space for more.

A beautiful place to enjoy some quiet time aswell

Wonderful place for a walk in the park, or for holding birthday parties and using the BBQ pits. They have multiple restrooms and even a cricket pitch. The grassy areas are vast and make for a wonderful day or evening at the park. Parking gets filled up pretty fast but there’s plenty of street parking for everyone.

This is a great park. There's 2 play structure, a huge field, a weird but cool gazebo thing, tons of picnic tables, a water feature, and restrooms. What more could you ask for? There's nice shade too. There's also a small sand area and a climbing wall. I would recommend this place to anyone. 10/10. It can get very busy tho.

The park is nice and peaceful. The tennis courts and basketball courts are mostly full in the evening. There is some tennis coaching going on in the evenings from 5-8pm. Look online for schedules.

Great Park! This park has 3 different play areas! One play area for each age group, which is great if you have more than one child who differ in ages.
The first park has toddler play areas including swings and a rock climbing wall for older kids.
The Second play area (blue playground) is for older kids or even adults who want to exercise, like doing chin-ups or anything that works the upper body. This area also has a track that goes around a soccer field and a baseball field, which can be used by parents while kids are playing in the park.
The last play area (red & blue playground) is across from the basketball courts. This area is for those a bit older like 5-12 age range. It has a lot of climbing areas which makes for a good game of ground is lava.
Overall, Ortega park is for everyone and is a must visit if you have more than one kid at a time. My kids favorite place to visit.

Such a fun place to take your kids to play. Park has 2 playgrounds one for younger kids and the other one for older kids. They also have a small water park, a swing area and a mini rock climbing area.

Ortega Park in Sunnyvale is an amazing park! It's such a large space with so many things to do.

There are picnic tables with barbeque pits, or you can reserve a large area with lots of seating and a large barbeque pit for big events or parties.

There are a few play structures for the little ones, as well as a baseball playing field and a basketball court. This place is large and has many options. There's a good amount of parking on the street and also a designated parking lot.

The park is divided, with half in open grassy ball fields, and half nicely landscaped strolling space with mature trees, and featuring a central gazebo so big it might be called an open-air lodge. There's plenty of fun for the kids in a large playground with two separate jungle gyms, plenty of swings, and even a climbing wall. There's even a water-spray area for the kids to cool down on warm days. A big picnic area includes large barbeque pits for groups. For sports there are two baseball diamonds, two tennis courts, and two basketball courts. There's a nice-sized community meeting room, restrooms near the playground and ball field, and plenty off-street parking.

Excellent place for family and friends. Hence it attracts a large number of folks. But given the sheer size of this park, it doesn't feel crowded. There's parking in multiple places so that isn't a big problem. Check on Inverness if the lots are full on Dunholme.

This is a really nice park, there is 2 separate playgrounds ( small and bigger kids), bbq tables and a spray water!

Our family loves this park. It's safe, fun, and very beautiful. It's large enough to spread out a blanket without feeling encroached upon by other park visitors, too. It also has a nice sized picnic table area, many play spots for kiddos, and a beautiful walking path.

very nice, clean and safe park, the toddler games are under the shade of the trees and that is good in the hot season. the water fountains work perfectly.
