There were 3 of us and even though it looked really busy and filled at this lunch hour, we still got seated immediately. This place is more special than most pho/vietnamese places because it has a lot more variety on it's menu and seems to contain a lot of very authentic dishes.

We ordered some stuff to share and for ourselves (see the photos). Overall everything was really great and portion sizes were good too. Just keep in mind that you might need to soak the rice paper yourself, if that's what you order. And there might be other really interesting foods you've never eaten before.

I definitely want to come back though! Service was good too, thanks!

Pho is always the comfort food for me. I’m really into rice noodle, crunchy texture one.

I’ve been to Tay Ho over a handful of times and everytime the food and service have been great! Easy and timely! Menu has a large variety of authentic Vietnamese dishes from appetizers, entrees to dessert and drinks! This place also breaks the stereotype of rude service = great food. Their staff is always friendly and helpful AND the food is actually authentic and good 😆

The takeout packaging is actually impressive compared to other traditional viet takeout.

One of my go-to viet spots in southbay!

Pretty fast service. Like your typical pho restaurant but at the same time a little more on the higher end aesthetically. I would say to not go the pho here unless u crave it but to get their banh cuon cuz it seems like they specialize in that. The way their tables work it can accommodate huge groups as well

Parking is plenty but very tight spaces to do be careful.

Had a nice late lunch here on Presidents Day weekend in between some shopping at Valley Fair and Stanford malls.. the rice paper wrapped appetizer w/ peanut sauce dip and large fried prawns in the sweet hot pepper dice was fresh and tasty. Followed by our Phó soups, chicken for her, beef for me... so fresh and yummy! You wouldn't think this place would be so good from the outside strip mall entrance... but if you're in the area and craving some tasty, filling Vietnamese food... don't pass up this place!

Always our favorite spot to go to when we crave good affordable Vietnamese food: bánh cuốn, bánh ướt, thịt nướng, etc. Service is efficient, setting is intimate, ambience is relaxed and non pretentious. Highly recommended.

This is our go-to Vietnamese place. It's the best one in this neighborhood. They're fast, clean, and friendly, always! I particularly appreciate the wide range of dishes available. It makes it a great place to explore the cuisine. It's great knowing I can have the classics anytime, and even better that I now have new favorites.

I've come here more than 5 times and every experience has been amazing. Food is yummy, very filling portions and good price. Not that I've explored all the Vietnamese restaurants around town, but easily one of the best ones I have been to.

Super easy to order online and pick up.

Food was hot and delicious. Everyone was super nice.

If you order from their website, they won't make your food till you are in the store so your food is still really hot when you pick it up. I love that they do this.

Best Vietnamese food I had in a while! Everything tastes good especially the fried rice noodles. Also love the durian dessert! The price is super affordable and I would not hesitate to come with friends again to enjoy authentic Vietnamese food.

This place serves the best Vietnamese food I've ever had. Seriously, if you're craving Vietnamese food, do yourself a favor and come here. I've never been disappointed with the food here. Everything is fresh and delicious, and just so incredibly flavorful. I can't stop raving about it.

Very good Vietnamese restaurant. We ordered Ban Xeio and vegetarian plate #21 and were very happy with both. The Ban Xeio presentation was very artistic and attractive. The crust had a nice crunch to it and tasted greasy. The prawns, pork, and all vegetables were cooked perfectly and seasoning wad perfect. The brosnahan plate was a well done and varied, unlike other vietnamese restaurants that add Pho Chay as afterthought, and very bland. Here they actually put effort into creating a delightful dish that I thoroughly enjoyed. We're definitely coming back ti try other items on the menu. Highly recommended.

Came during the weekday around 6pm and was seated right away. A step up from your average looking Vietnamese restaurants out there. The beauty of eating with a group of buddies is, you get to try their dishes too haha. When you're ready to order, every table has a button to alert them when you need something. I ordered the bun tom thit nuong and just looking at presentation, by far it beats all the places I've been to. Taste was really good. The bo kho was good here, and the banh beo was good.

They have a variety of selections. I love the beef stew with bread. You dip the bread into tomato based beef soup. Delicious!

Went to Home Town Buffet for lunch with a buddy from work, when we got there, the place was closed forever. Decided to try Yoshinoya and the place also disappeared on El Camino Real in Santa Clara, on the way back to King Noodles, we saw the sign Tay Ho (red), we u-turn to see if it opens and yes it did.
From the outside, it does look like a hole in the wall restaurant, but it is quite clean and modern when we’re inside. We’re so surprised, there are quite a few people already there. Tay Ho is quite famous for its banh cuon since the 70s or 80s, I used to eat their foods in Orange County, SoC.
We sat down, still admiring the place, I asked the waiter if this was actually one of the original Tay Ho and he confirmed it although it wouldn’t make much difference. It would only encourage us to try their famous banh cuon dac biet $10.5 instead of other dishes they offered like pho and other VN specialties.
The place is clean and nicely decorated, good enough for taking a date without feeling being cheap LOL.
The servers are quite attentive and quick, the little electronic pads for order taking are quite effective, our order came out quite fast.
The glass water jar is quite nice reminding me of pho bistro in Fremont last year.
Here comes the banh cuon, quite a pretty presentation, my daughter would give it an A, many different types of foods are well placed on a round large plates. The container of mixed fish sauce and hot chili are right at the table and they taste perfectly well with the banh cuon. Crispy potato shrimps and green bean cakes are perfect. The rice rolls are tender and chewy just like the best one supposed to be.
What is there for not getting a 5 stars, yes, you can deduct for the smart and finals bland shopping center and the generic, uninvited store front.
We will come back to try other dishes for lunch some other times, I’m pretty sure they’re good. Until then, it’s thumbs up for both of us.

I’d highly recommend this place if you’re in South Bay. We ordered the Pho Dac Biet and Banh Cuon Dac Biet. The broth is so light, all the ingredients are on points. Also love the banh cuon, which is Vietnamese steamed rice rolls they usually have for breakfast.
Tips: ask for the fresh noodles!

Wow the best Viet good I've ever had. I'm from NYC and the viet food is good but something about this place just made it better for me. Wide selection of food, everything we ordered was really yummy. Service was quick and very attentive. Interior was nice. Price was reasonable for the about you get. Highly recommend

BEST VEGETARIAN PHO!

I got the Pho Chay and it was amazing! The large was enough for 2 meals and the flavor was wonderful. I can't wait to go back and try the vegetarian platter :)

Came here for a belated lunch with the extended fam bam. We used to drive all the way to their East San Jose location to get some proper banh cuon. We love this place! Our goto order's are the #11, #14, and #15. Can't go wrong with a rice plate or bowl of pho either!
