Went here after recommendations from a friend. This is one of 4+ restaurants. Not really blown away from the food here but given the price point they offer these food, I would tilt towards a 5 star.

The Misil Pav was good. I liked the Pav Bhaji too. However for me the biggest win was finding a kokam sharbat. It was after many years I was trying it and thoroughly loved it.

Ambience is okay, service and staff are friendly.

Misal Pav, Pav Bhaji, Kothimbir Vadi & Puranpoli - all taste good ♥. Misal Pav is very famous here. Puranpoli was soft & delicious 👍. Green chutney with Kothimbir Vadi is on the sweet side with nuts or peanuts. Friendly staff, nice ambience & clean washroom. For parking - its available but there may be some waiting as this place is mostly packed. Taste & price 👍

Amazing food. Loved the Thali.
The Shrikhand and aamras that came with thali was good too. Highly recommend the Thali for an amazing Maharashtrian experience

Also tried the vada paav and the misal paav and it was just the way u get in India.

All the food was amazing. Thecha was ummmazing.... Wada misal was perfectly spiced. Their menu online says vada pav bhaji but did not find one in the physical menu. Steam modak could have been better if it's filling had more jaggery instead of sugar and the coating could have been thinner.

My soul was satisfied after having the street food of my hometown Mumbai. The food was so authentic I felt sitting in a Dadar eatery, supported by the lively environment. I especially loved the misal pav, batata vada and sabudana vada. Special thanks to Pramod for his service and bringing hot food to the table within 10 mins after ordering. Ended the meal with ukdiche modak and kokum serbet. Highly recommended!

The first Maharashtrian Cuisine Restaurant that I visited in the USA. The cuisine is authentic Maharashtrian, delicious tasting and fabulous. The batata vadas were fresh and flavorful. The bharli vangi was rightly spiced and the vangi (eggplants, aubergines) were cooked right and blended well with the sauce; the Ukdiche Modak, served with a liberal splash of ghee (clarified butter) just melted on the palate. A must visit restaurant for genuine Maharashtrian cuisine. Hope to try the other offerings on the menu soon! 😊

I find myself coming back here time and time again and introducing all my friends.
The service was quick and friendly along with food which was super flavorful and had a level of richness that sets it apart from other Indian restaurants. The food is delicious and the portion size is good. The pricing is super affordable! Most dishes priced under $15.

Thali for lunch was very good home made taste would recommend, amras at the end was a steal😍Will be back to try again.

Big shout out to Pramod from their team who was kind and sweet in helping out and making sure everything was ok. Keep up the amazing work 👏

Vada paav and Misal - Not spicy, lacked authenticity of Mumbai. Lived in Mumbai for 22 years. Misal was sweet even when I asked for spicy, vada paav was just eatable. Other places like Swaraj and “Paav bhaji and more” are much better for vada paav

Had an amazing experience at Puranpoli! The puranpoli, kothimbir wadi, and zhunka bhakri were the best I've tasted in the Bay Area. The customer service was exceptional, with a special shoutout to Pramod and Mr. Shivalkar for their kind gestures. Fast and friendly service combined with delicious food make this place a standout. Highly recommend to anyone looking for an authentic culinary experience!

We went in late evening to try out their authentic Maharashtrian dishes. I found their pricing to be affordable and their cooking style to be homely. I enjoyed the Vada Pav in particular — I highly recommend it. The Bharli Vangi with rice bhakri and Sol kadi packed a lot of flavors. Kuldeep, our server, was courteous and ensured he got us our food at the appropriate spice level.

I tried Bharli Vangi, Kadai paneer, Sabudana Wada, Wada Pav, and Misal Pav from here today. The food was fantastic, especially the Bharli Vangi with Bhakri—it was incredibly tasty, and the Bhakri was delightfully soft. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed the food from here.

Best Maharashrian Food Ever!

The Puranpoli as the name suggests is their best dish ever. Always make it a point to have it at the end and not at the beginning as you will be sidelined to only order More Puranpoli if you start with it.

We had the Misal Pav - Kothambir Vadi - Sabhudhana Vada - Zunka and all of them tasted amazing. I would give 10/5 for their authenticity towards keeping the traditional taste and spice levels.

Ignore any negative reviews as they probably came from people with 0 patience to wait for food. Towards closing times, many people realize that they want more as the food is that tasty, so highly recommend going there early around 1-1.5 hour before close.

Last night I visited this place to have mumbai food and no doubt went without disappointment. This was my first time visiting this place and will visit again to revive Mumbai street food flavour. I had Vada Pav, Misal Pav, Puran poli, Kothimvadi, Modak and Sol Kadi, Kokum sharbat. I must say it reminded me of Mumbai food it is authentic maharashtrain restaurant.

The food was delicious. Bharli vangi was very tasty with a hint of peanuts. Aamras felt authentic from India. It was thick and naturally sweet. Rice bhakri was soft and yummy. Puranpoli was okayish but enjoyable. I'd recommend this place for any vegetarian lover. Tea was high on ginger.

This restaurant serves authentic Maharashtrian food. Misal paav’s taste reminded me of the ones back in India. The misal wasn’t much greasy and was healthy because it had loads of sprouts in it. Steamed Modaks we’re really tasty. Kothmir vadi(cilantro vada) was too relishing with the ginger tea. Their kokum juice is definitely a must try. Absolutely loved the juice. The owner is cordial and I enjoyed chatting with her. The ambiance is decent and the food is mind blowing. Can’t wait to try their bharlelei vaangi (stuffed eggplant) dishes the next time I am in town

I had been to Puranpoli while attending a conference in Santa Clara last week. The lady there, Harita, is an example in customer service. I asked her for less greasy food and chose sabudana kichadi. It turns out that they make Sabudana kichadi with ghee. When she found out I am vegan, she gladly replaced the kichadi with Sabudana vada taking responsibility for it. The sabudana vada and green chutney is delicious. I would go there again next time I am in the area.
