Since I was recommended this place & stylist by a friend, I always make sure I book with Kaz. When I first gotten my haircut with Kaz, I knew I could put my trust in him. He helped me figure out exactly what would work best with my hair and face shape so this time I decided to get my first ever perm. Again, he took the time to recommend styles that would go best with my face shape and throughout the process makes sure I like the style. He is very kind and patient and fun to talk to and of course, very talented!

Kaz is one of the best hair stylists I've booked with. He truly listens to my requirements and delivered the look I have in mind. I only had a haircut and he even went the extra mile and taught me how to style my hair in the daily routine. I absolutely put my trust in him. Strongly recommended.

Yosuke did an incredible job with cutting my hair from very long to a short more masculine cut. I’m grateful he did such a drastic cut for me so well, and showed me how to style it too. Really happy with the result!!

I had a haircut and highlights done by Kaz today, and it turned out amazing! I was very impressed. Kaz is so professional and friendly and styled my haircut to frame my face. He also picked a color that was a perfect match for my skin tone. I like how he is so detailed and checks with you every step of the way to make sure you are satisfied. The head massage was a plus too! I will definitely be coming back.

I’ve went here another time in the past but this time just blew my mind away! I never thought I would find a good haircut for my thick and poofy hair but Wataru did a great job taking the weight off my hair and just making it feel lightweight while adding layers! He was super friendly and his English was very good, he made sure I knew what he was doing to my hair and explained it properly. Once I was out of the salon, I think I told my parents over 18 times that night that I loved my haircut. This was the best haircut I’ve gotten!

I've been going to Arukas Hair Salon for the past year, each time with a different stylist, since they seem to rotate in and out on the appointments website - Yugo, Asako, Wataru, and then Kaz - I have to say, they've all been very professional, attentive, detail-oriented, and I've been happy with the haircuts. I always get similar-ish long layered cuts though and haven't had other services yet. Booking an appointment is easy. You just make one online, but you have to call to cancel or make changes.

My latest haircut from Kaz in particular got the most compliments from my mom, who is has a critical eye when it comes to my haircuts... He is really good at layering. Kaz mostly focused on cutting my hair, and I was comfortable because I'm not good at small talk anyway. The price is expectedly expensive in the Bay Area, but this salon has been a reliable choice for me and has consistently delivered great service. Would definitely recommend them.

I'm so happy with my haircut. My hair is thick and dense, but Wataru always suggests the best haircut. Usually, I need to do a hair-strengthening treatment to keep my hair down, but with my new haircut, I can keep it natural and down when I want. Got a lot of compliments. Thanks, Wataru-san!

I have to call out Kaz for doing a great job for my hair. My hair came out well and he was attention to detail, and always made sure everything was okay. I would highly recommend this salon. This is the second time that I have came here for my haircuts.

Went to this Salon several times now. My stylist this time is Kaz. I have a very thin/flat hair, and he did an excellent job to make it looks more volumned. Also got a very nice head massage there! He recommends digital perm to me. Will try it next time.

Wataru did a great job for my hair. He is very patient and gives me several useful tips for my hairstyle. Also the head massage during the shampooing is pretty good.
