Came in to town on a work trip and saw this place from the reviews and pictures looked like the place to go. Let me tell you it is true. The staff are very kind and also very knowledgeable about the food they serve. The wonderful server Sydney helped me figure out what to order and I got the Pomodoro with meatballs, it was so good I no joke cried a little! Literally everything I consumed tasted of high quality even the water!! If you are thinking of a place to go please do yourself a favor and just go here! And if you see Sydney and you are lucky to have her be the one who serves you make sure to tip extra! I’d give it 10 stars if I could!

I took my daughter here for her birthday and it was perfect! We shared the clams & chicken. The food was exceptionally delicious and our server (Wiley) was fantastic. He brought her a special dessert with a candle & made her feel extra special. This is our number one pick in all of Eastern WA.

I absolutely loved the food,my partner, and I went out to eat here twice. For a birthday and our anniversary, we got the ribeye both times and appetizer which was amazing 👏 we also got a sherly temple, they did get busy a few times and forgot about getting us our drinks and Dessert so we left without the second time around, on out first trip we were able to try their browine and if you have a sweet tooth i definitely recommend. The waiter was very nice about the misunderstanding. But definitely, the only downside was going in for our anniversary and having our table forgotten about \(•-•)/ especially for the price I'm paying. It's still a very good place but can get too busy.

This is, without any hesitations, my favorite restaurant in Pullman and one of the best food I’ve tried in the US.
Place is really cozy and pretty decorated. Service is really good. Price is a little bit above the other restaurants but it’s worth it.
I highly recommend the bread pudding dessert.

Stepping into the restaurant one is greeted with the most romantic atmosphere. Cocktails were tasty and food was nothing short of delicious. Had the lamb and chicken. Had a decadend, rich, brownie for dessert.

The Black Cypress is the quintessential upscale restaurant in Pullman, WA. The small menu offers different taste ranges that are always great. I’ve been here a couple of times and the off menu daily specials have also always been good. The hospitality at The Black Cypress has been nothing but perfect and have always helped with whatever we might have needed and have been very attentive to our table every time I’ve dined here. The desserts are also incredible here so don’t miss out on those. Overall, this restaurant is a prefect little place in a little town that’s always great for a special occasion or a nice casual dinner.

We always enjoy one special meal at The Black Cypress when we’re in town. This time we shared the rib eye steak and a salad. The kids got the spaghetti and meatballs. Everything was great.

Wonderful experience!!✨
We started off with Black Cypress Dip. It was great!
The Roasted chicken and Grilled Portabella didn't match my taste buds well.
My favorite part of the meal was the B.C. Brownie and Bread Pudding. Everyone should definitely try them!🍨
I’m quite impressed with the perfect blend of sweetness, richness, and perfection in the desserts.

Came into town to visit my sister. She took us here for dinner. It was, is, and always will be a fantastic choice! We ordered 3 entrees to share so each of us got to taste the ribeye, portobello and chicken. Each was perfectly cooked. The mashed potatoes were creamy and yummy. Then came the finale - dessert! So good. Service was attentive without being obtrusive. It was a bit pricey, but worth every penny. These out of towners are impressed and we'll be back.

We went there to celebrate a friend's birthday. The vibe of this restaurant is real nice and cozy. It was pretty crowded though so it was taking our server some time to attend to us. We ordered the cheese platter and the black cypress dips which were pretty good. We had a vegan friend with us and there were not a lot of options for her but they were pretty accommodating with her requests. We ordered the beet salad, Pomodoro, and Grilled Portabella for entrée. The grilled portabella was flavorful and the best salad was refreshing. They offered a free dessert for the birthday girl which and she chose the bread pudding which was quite sweet and rich. The huckleberry ice cream of the side was nice. Overall, it was a good experience, be prepared to wait quite a bit during rush hours.

Really good food and service! Loved their specials as well. Food was a little on the salty side but that's a personal preference as my partner did not seem to think so. I went for my birthday and they gave us a free dessert with a candle, how cute! More pricey than other places but would definitely come back. Would recommend the Carbonara and the bread pudding!!

IMO by far the best restaurant in Pullman, no other place comes even close to this place. It's like bringing a tank to a knife fight. Everything was spot on, specially the dessert absolutely delicious. Service efficient, friendly, not too aggressive. The only minus for me is that my medium rare lamb chops were not all medium rare, the outer pieces were slightly over cooked.

Great ambience, food, and people. Met some friends here who hadn't been back to Pullman since graduating 20 years ago. As she mentioned, "It would have been nice to have something like this when we were here. All we had was Pete's Bar and Grill."

This restaurant is amazing. The staff here genuinely cares about every detail of your dining experience and work very hard to make it a good one. It is worth every penny, and the timing of service is immaculate. Every dish we had from appetizers to dessert was remarkable and delicious. I will definitely be coming back.

Omg YUM. The Black Cypress did NOT disappoint! This place was great. We didn't have reservations (it was 1.5 hour wait) but if you had proof of vaccination, we could sit at the bar immediately. Drinks were delicious as was the food. My wife had the pomodoro pasta while I had the roasted chicken. The pomodoro pasta had a great flavor with hints of sundried tomato in it (which may or may not have been an actual ingredient). The huge flakes of parmesan cheese was a nice touch to the pasta. But the real star of the show was my roasted chicken. It had crispy skin and moist meat being seasoned wonderfully. The bed of kale, sausage bread stuffing, mashed potatoes, and almost au jus gravy came together in an incredible way. This the closets southern chicken dish I've had since being back from the south here in WA. Of course we finished out meal with the B.C. Brownie and a couple cups of coffee. For a college town, this was a breath of sophistication and elegance. I would definitely come back.

Black Cypress is my go to restaurant for an upscale dinner in the Pullman/Moscow area. It is a good place for a romantic dinner- the last time I was there I saw someone propose, which was very special. It is also perfect for a celebration - I just hosted my son's graduation party there. The food is consistently good. The standouts on the menu for me are the lamb chops, the roasted chicken, the pasta carbonara, the Caesar salad, and the panna cotta. For vegetarian, the portabello mushroom entree is delicious. The service is always friendly and polite. I will say that if it is really busy the food service can occasionally be a bit slow. I recommend you order cocktails and appetizers and enjoy lingering over drinks and conversation. It can be noisy, especially on the bar side, so if you need a quieter atmosphere ask to sit on the non-bar side. I always know it will be a special evening when I go here for dinner. I also love to just sit at the bar and enjoy the delicious drinks made by their expert bartenders. Pullman is fortunate to have this place.
