Holiday Inn Express & Suites Santa Clara, an IHG Hotel

Coming from NZ American hotels take a little getting used to - room has a microwave oven but only paper cups for the flavored coffee pods. No milk in the fridge or tea making facilities. However the cafe downstairs has round the clock tea & coffee. We appreciated the generous & varied breakfasts that set you up for that big American (portion size) lunch! Nice to use the gym also. Staff were warm & friendly.

I have stayed at this property several times and for a good reason. It is a well-maintained property with great customer service. The property and the rooms are very clean. It’s conveniently located next to the airport and the management is outstanding. Mary and her team do a great job at check-in with positive attitudes.

The room I stayed was a room for the physically challenged(though I am not physically challenged) which was not good. It would be best if you could get other room if you are not physically challenged. The receptionist is a smiling face person and has a good attitude.

The laundry machine was really nice and the best part is it's free to use, just get your detergent.

The breakfast is good. The location is very central with a pak restaurant, marathi restaurant and denny's. Plus there is a target nearby. Overall a good experience.

Such exceptional customer service with E-check in. Third time staying here at this location. Rooms are spotless clean, and complimentary hot breakfast available from 6:00 a.m. Scrambled eggs, sausage patties fresh fruit, bagels, breakfast burritos, cold cereal, hot oatmeal, whatever your little hard desires! Couldn't ask for anything more!

This is the perfect mid tier hotel for a trip to South Bay. No full breakfast yet due to COVID, but they had breakfast sandwiches coffee and juice to go for your room. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. The area is perfect for you in case you want to get some of the delicious offerings delivered to the room or explore it for yourself. The rooms are modern, clean, and definitely well-kept. The rooms also have a mini fridge and a microwave which I was extremely surprised and delighted by. They should be everyone’s go to for an affordable stay in the area. I will give it more stars if I could.

When visiting San Jose /Silicone Valley this is the Best Value stop for Certain!!! Clean, friendly Awesome location and breakfast was better than most hotels. try out the pancake machine!!!

Stayed here for 3 days and loved it! It was clean and quiet. Stores and restaurants nearby, they give a list of their recommendations. Cleaning service does a good job cleaning the room. The breakfast food was free and it was great! Breakfast is served from 6am-10am. Staff was very friendly as well. I would definitely stay here again!

This hotel has a small parking lot but check-in was a breeze. Priority club members will get a free water bottle and snack bar on top of opting for the 500 miles. At least Spire club numbers will. The room seem like they were renovated recently. The finishes are very nice and sleek. Bathrooms nice and clean rooms nice and clean and the beds are nice and clean. The TV has exceptional AV capability and the bed has outlets built into the headboard. There is even an extra rollaway table in the desk. They have a ton of HBO and Showtime channels too. My rate was 299 a night but that's kind of the going rate for this area.

This is a two star hotel that should really be classified as a three star. I think this is my new favorite (affordable) hotel in town.

Pro: well located, new facility, near food heaven, well maintained, cozy and comfortable, well insulated, newer gym, modern. Staff go the extra mile.

Con: quite literally - the only con is that the rooms are on the smaller side. This could make it tougher for families but for business travelers or couples, it is just fine.

One of the best Holiday Inn express I have visited. The room was spacious, even had a microwave and mini kitchen - perfect for a business traveler who might want to cook or heat something of their own. The washroom had a tub, shower and all the basic amenities. For someone who is vegetarian, there may not be enough options in their complimentary breakfast menu except cereals or fruits. That said, the location is super - very accessible from the airport, right next you have Popoye's Louisiana kitchen and when you walk further there are enough eating options. The Target store is almost 0.5miles - so you pretty much get everything around.
Tip: prefer taking rooms which do not face the main road because some road junkies might ruin your sleep.

This is a pretty nice Hotel. Nice looking lobby and breakfast area. The room was large with a nice desk and chair to get some work done. Plenty of outlets by the bed and desk. The room I was in had a mini fridge and microwave. Several restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. Close to the San Jose airport.

Great property. Rooms nicely appointed and clean. Very nice staff. Bed super comfy. Lots of breakfast items and it's free. Even bacon and omelettes available. Even the vending machines were very well priced. Lots of restaurant options very close.

Great stay! Staff was great. Rooms were great. Location was nice; walking distance to food and shopping center. 15min from the airport. The only room for improvement was the breakfast, which was a bit lacking. Overall it was a nice stay

The staff is very friendly. The property is very clean and well maintained. I usually select other hotel brands when traveling but I'm glad I chose Holiday Inn in Santa Clara. I'll gladly stay here again when in the area.

Friendly and professional staff! Very responsive when we had a noise issue late at night. Breakfast options were excellent and room was extremely comfortable. We didn’t feel lacking for anything.

Went to the Levi stadium to see the Niners. Perfect location, close to shopping. Has a gym, no pool. Next door Popeyes restaurant. Lucky for us, my husband's loves Popeyes.

Yeh for freshly cooked oatmeal for breakfast!! Oh, and the rest of the hotel is excellent as well.

One beef I have against Holiday Inn Express in general (compared to Hampton) is their breakfast has instant oatmeal instead of cooked oatmeal. I am a big oatmeal fan for breakfast and instant is just not very good. I was delightfully surprised when I found cooked oatmeal at breakfast.

The staff is very friendly. The room was updated with all the nice plugs, tv etc. you'd want. I plugged my iPad into the HDMI port on the wall (which was connected to the TV) and was able to watch stuff on my iPad on the big TV. The wifi is reasonably fast and the bathroom has a nice, big counter to spread out the stuff.

Many places to eat nearby within walking distance, and a Target should you need anything.

Loved it... place was clean and modern. Staff were friendly and always willing to help. Breakfast was good. Location was good as you had many nearby restaurants and little traffic.
