Del Prado I Apartments

Awesome place.....Great Neighborhood Very close to El Camino Real & VTA bus Stops,24 Hours Safeway is on a walking distance,Caltrain is only 5 minutes drive,Quick Access to 101,280,85 and Route 237. I have been living there since 2012 and it’s been a Great for us the property Manager Norma Is Very helpful and always make sure if there is any job order. Also there are good school districts close by and parks near by.

The apartments are small, and you can hear your neighbors through the windows... But they're insulated well, water and hot water is paid for.

The neighborhood is bad and one building has rats, yes: One of the residents brought them in and was feeding them without cages. The rental agreement now has 'only one animal, and rodents, birds, lizards must be caged' in it. You'd be surprised what has happened that has been added to the rental agreement.

The apartments have laundry rooms in the units and coin-op outside. Every apartment has two doors and two porches. Hanging and potted plants are encouraged, though vegetables may be filched by human or wildlife if grown at ground level (watch out for raccoons and squirrels!). The place is vibrant and full of life, which is in direct opposition to the other complexes in the area which many do not have communal areas that are encouraged to be used.

Thefts and vandalism are rife and nonsensical. Many of the other complexes have fenced their parking to reduce crime - mostly it means more of their residents park on the street instead of inside the complexes. It's no worse than anything else on the street.

I genuinely regret moving here, and moving out felt like my birthday.

Please. For your sanity, safety, and personal wellbeing…don’t even visit, just go somewhere else.

Highlights:

A. Roaches, even after extermination.
B. This is not exaggeration, our water has been turned off at least 8 times for “repairs.”
C. No water pressure.
D. Occasionally no water heater.
E. Have more then 1 car? Often no parking.
F. Have children? Cars literally speed by your house.
G. Enjoy sleep? Good luck, these cars shake the walls.

There’s more but I suspect this will suffice.

This has been my second worst apartment experience, behind the time I shared an apartment with a schizophrenic in college.

Why?

Because the complex is great at simulating the appearance of a pleasant atmosphere, but I can assure you it is not.
