Anjappar Chettinad | Indian Restaurant

Feb 2024: lately they have some specials every week and we have been absolutely loving them! Really loved ghee roast chicken, fish, and chicken paratha. Can't wait to try next time something different

This is your place if you're craving for spicy and authentic chettinad food! My husband loves coming here for spicy meal. I can't handle as much spice so they were able to make mild for me which I really appreciated. The food was great!! I loved chicken dosa. Chutney and sambar were also amazing. Chicken thali was delicious. Among the places we have tried, their tandoori chicken is the BEST!!!

Everything that I tried was delicious! I highly recommend their chicken lollipop if you eat non veg. My entire experience was wonderful! From the yummy food to customer service and ambiance. The restaurant was clean and our servers were attentive, quick and respectful. Highly recommend!

Great ambience and food. I have visited this place couple of times and it never disappointed me. Their ghee podi masala dosa is too good. In appetizers, chicken 65 and Gobi 65 were great. Kuzhi paniyaram is a must try. Also, their kothu parotta tastes real good and authentic like south india. Great service too! Highly recommend!

Thali and dosa were really tasty. I like the variety that comes with those dishes.

This is such a authentic Indian restaurant! My friends who are from India brought us here because this same restaurant is where they are from. The Goat Biryani was delicious! Perfect amount of spicy and a large quantity was served as you see in my photos. I never had this dish and it was such a nice surprise to have a hard boiled egg inside. We topped off the dish with a curry sauce and it was so good! We had a Coca Cola with our meal. Although we were given water. Everything is served with Metal. Very traditional. The finishing touch was the Raitia a Yogurt drink with onion and salt. Sweet and savory. The restrooms were very clean and stocked. They did have high chairs and it's very family friendly. On the way out there was minty dry leaves you can eat to aide digestion it was very delightful ( Fennel ) tastes like licorice. The service was kind and friendly. I couldn't finish all my large portion so I got the rest to go. The menu is so vast like 6 pages long! You have so many options! The music playing was beautiful as well. Thank you to my friend who's wife came from India today and great job Anjappar Chettinad! We are definitely coming back!

So far we tried Veg meal, chicken meal, lime soda, Chikoo milk shake, Crab Masala (very spicy). All the items are absolutely delicious and you are in food coma at the end of it.

Awesome Thali. Rice is limited . Otherwise would have asked more . Fish curry was awesome .

On another day tried mutton biriyani and it was damn good

As an outsider (non-California resident), I didn’t come here with too many expectations. But to my surprise, The standard and quality of food here is quite high. Was very happy with the portion size of Mutton Briyani, with additional servings of raitha and salna available upon request. Topped it off with some filter coffee and felt like home I have to say. If you like to try out authentic Tamizh cuisine, this is a must try

Excellent food and service. As vegetarians, we are always delighted to find good veg options in restaurants. Podi dosa, veg thali, veg kothu parota, veg biryani were all very nice. Finish off with the falooda, so yum!

Great Indian food that is reasonably priced for the area. Although if you from India you may not know what most of the things on the menu even are. I had a friend (who is from India) that helped me order something that I would have never know it order with out him. It was super good. They also have a fancy robot server.

Very authentic south indian restaurant. Liked the biryani and it's flavor of chicken. The Anjappar popular non-veg thali is a must try, which has mutton, chicken and fish curry. The food here is on the spicier side. The ambience of the restaurant reminds you of South Indian style.

Nattukozhi nallennai varuval is ultimate. The receptionist is a very good and calm person and takes caring everything .

Fresh parotas and tasty chicken masala. I like their kale dosa too. This restaurant is pricey but food is delicious. The manager is professional and friendly and knows how to take care of the customers.

I love their food! They have hugeee menu and you can pick any food/drinks for great taste. They serve authentic chettinad food!!!! Amar is the best, he loves his job and very experienced. He remembers people well and recommends food accordingly. The new server seemed very sweet & welcoming too:)

We ordered to go chicken suka is excellent taste. Mouth watering spice and we enjoyed a lot.we ordered Fish fry is the best taste authentic we love the taste.Lollipop is also excellent taste.We recommend Anjapper to friends and family.

Went on a fine Saturday afternoon about 230 with full crowd, since we were just 2 wait time was about 15 minutes, for larger crowds wait time was easily 30 minutes. But they served food very quick, we ordered veg biriyani, paneer manchiruan and a non veg meal. All of them were served in under 5 minutes. Food was spicy and great. We enjoyed and had a great Saturday afternoon.

Best place to go for lunch . They have different lunch combos (parrota, tandoori, South Indian thali,indo Chinese ) . The quantity is really good. Loved the food and the staffs are friendly. The indo Chinese and executive biryani meal are my fav .

I tried the babycorn manchurian and Rava Onion Masala Dosa. Quantity of manchurian was spicy and is good enough to split among two people. The Dosa is also really big, crispy with great flavour.
