Kazan Japanese Cuisine

Update: we have been here several times now and have not had one thing we didn't like. The service and food has been consistently great, and it's out favorite sushi spot in town.

We came here for lunch on a Monday and it was fantastic. Service was great - there was one server working but our food came out very quickly.
We had the lobster tempura and a few different rolls. The lobster was perfectly cooked and the portion sizes on everything were generous. We had the lion king, golden salmon, California, and Saturday rolls.
This was our first visit and we were impressed. After having been to several other sushi spots in town, this is our new favorite, hands down.

"Western/American" style sushi rolls are usually a bit too much for us, but we really enjoyed our dinner tonight. The fish tasted clean. The grilled squid had a beautiful smokey char. The rolls had good flavor and weren't drowned in sauce.
It's a nice little spot to go to for a fresh sushi meal! ごちそうさまでした!

My husband and I brought our 17 yr old daughter her for a birthday lunch. It was our first time visiting this place and we were not disappointed. The service was wonderful and the food was great. We'll definitely eat here again.

Came Friday evening for a friends birthday gathering. They have a great private area in the back with a large tv. Food & service was great, it’s never easy getting good service for a large party, but they were very attentive and accommodating. The food came out quick, and the portions were great for a party. I will be back!

Absolutely amazing! Staff Is very polite and quick. Best sushi I've tried. My favorites are the yoshi roll and the volcano!

Kazan took our family of 25 people with just an hour notice. They even closed down the restaurant to give us the best service. We are grateful to have celebrated the life of our family member at your establishment with great vibes, amazing food, and excellent service!

I ordered a Day 1 vegetarian roll. Everything was to my liking. I appreciated the several vegetarian options they had for me.

Really affordable place for sushi. Some as low as 4.99. The fish here is fresh and delicious. Small location but very clean, friendly, and full of energy. Not many drink selections but I washed it down with a miso soup and some brown rice tea. I payed 36 dollars for a dinner of two. Definitely coming back.

I love coming here and have been for years. It's the best sushi in town. Great customer service and family friendly. We tried the clams and they were so good! All the rolls have so much flavor and are rolled well. The nigiri and sashimi are fresh. It is very clean inside with a nice atmosphere. They get pretty busy, especially weekends

Been a customer of Kazan's for close to 20 years. Have never had a bad experience there. I've referred many of my friends to eat there and all of them have enjoyed the experience.

They know me and know that nigiri sushi is my favorite. My ordering is basically done as soon as I walk in. They'll tell me of any new fish that they have.

Today, Ly told me that they had Toro and Blue Fin tuna so I added them to my usual order. I always order Uni if they have it.

Food was amazing. You definitely get your money's worth. Our waitress Vanessa was very sweet and knowledgeable of all the different kinds of food. Overall a great experience.

I overlooked this place but decided to give it a try, and I'm so glad I did probably the best Japanese restaurant in town!

Fantastic sushi! And the waitress was wonderful, she even gave me a heads up when I was ordering way too much sushi for my group. Her advice was much appreciated and she was right! We had left over sushi. Would highly recommend!

I woke up today super hungry for sushi, as is normal for me.
I’m a bit of a sushi connoisseur, and this was my first time here.
The lunch time reopening was at 12:00pm, I placed my order for a rainbow roll and tekka roll.
When I placed my order at 12:04, the lady over over the phone said it would be 20 min.

So I waited In my car and then came inside around 12:15. At 12:25 the meal was ready.

The meal came out to like $16 and some change.

It was DELICIOUS.
Having tried about 20 different sushi spots in the neighboring area from Vacaville to Sacramento, I have to say this was the best sushi meal I’ve had yet. The price was also perfectly reasonable.
The dish was also very nicely presented.

I’ll have to try this place again with their cooked options, as both the rainbow and tekka rolls only use raw fish, but as far as I can tell, I’m not going back to Hisui or Umi across town.

They only do take out, because of covid, and there’s no outside seating. Still come anyways.

This place is quality, for a really fair price.

Cleanest environment , freshest food, its absolutely delicious… My favorite sushi restaurant off top.. MUST TRY!!!!

By far the best sushi restaurant between Fairfield and Vacaville. Fresh sashimi and delicious rolls.
