Olas de Carlos Surf Grill

Very nice local Mexican restaurant that I've been going to since I was a kid. Always a reliable place with tasty Burritos!

The restaurant has a "surfer" ambience to it with surfboards hanging from the ceiling, pictures of surfers and a few TV's throughout that often show different surfing clips.

Everything I've gotten from here has been very tasty, but I especially like the wet burritos. The portion size is very generous and generally lasts me for two meals and you also get complimentary chips with your order. Overall a great local Mexican restaurant worth checking out.

Amazing place! Stopped here on our way to Palm Springs. We loved the enchiladas and quesadilla. The chips are nice and fresh as well and the salad was really good. We love the vibe since there are all of these cool, signed surf posters and boards. We will definitely be coming back again!!!

I really enjoyed this spot for thier taquitos and crispy tacos, salsa was amazing too. We will definitely come back. The staff was super friendly. If your looking for a crispy taco spot, this is it. My favorite so for in Ventura County hands down.

Great spot with great food. Reminds me of good home style fresh cooked food. Carlos and his family are awesome. My family and I been coming here for years now. Cool surf vibes & decor memorabilia all though out the restaurant. Large selection of Mexican food options and drinks. I definitely recommend stopping in if you’re hungry and are wanting some great Mexican food for great prices. The ground beef chimichanga is my personal favorite and the shrimp tacos. Carne asada quesadillas are bomb here and the guacamole is some of the best around. Great green tomatillo salsa too, 10/10.

You walk in and see the surfer motif. Very fun. They take your order at the counter then table service.

This is definitely a Camarillo favorite. Everyone I know loves this place and the food is outstanding. I don't think I've found a dish I haven't liked, and they have a wide variety of Cali-mex food. It has a casual surfer vibe with a decent amount of seating. Service is pretty good although it depends on the day as they can be very busy and at times slow. Overall, it's a must-visit spot in Camarillo, especially if you're already in Old Town.

Always 5 stars of Awesome! Food is always authentically great! Not a chain, a locally owned surf grill with a great selection and reasonable prices. Great for the whole family. As a local, I stop in to pick up to go orders, but I've also dined in as well, the atmosphere is all surfing and fun.
Updating 4/4/22- Always killin it! sooo good! had to go home and knock out on a Olas Coma! Everything they make is sooo good. Look at that burrito!!! even distribution of goodies throughout! who does that? OLAS!!! When you're hungry or have straight up munchies this is the place. Your mouth will thank you and me for sending you here. The only MexiCAN 🌮🌯 food in town to devour. Also great value for your money but no skimping on quality or size! Mondo Burrito!

A fantastic local surfer- theme place with awesome Mexican food. Made special by the owners Carlos and Michelle (Huntington Beach natives). The walls are covered with nice surfing pics

This casual taco place has amazing Mexican food, especially the salsa! It's a great place to go for casual atmosphere with a flair - a lot to look at, most surf videos, and old boards hing up around the place. Good prices and friendly staff. Sometimes, they give out surf stickers too. Clean restrooms, ample parking in back and handicap accessible.

Always great service and food... The asada burrito is the bomb and always moist with a delicious marinade.

I've been to basically every restaurant in Camarillo, and this is one of the only ones worth taking a trip to Camarillo for. Carne asada and carnitas are both really delicious here. Wet burrito, quesadilla, flautas, loaded fries. Portions are LARGE

Service was phenomenal, food was a great portion and delicious! The environment of the restaurant is unmatched and gives great beach vibes. I wish there was one in Port Hueneme. 10/10 recommend.

What a great experience. Fresh, homemade Mexican food. We ordered way more than we should because there was so much to try. I was not disappointed. Everything was fresh and delicious. We found our new best Mexican restaurant.

Having lived in Northern California & now Washington state, I would often see questions asked about good Mexican food, “like So Cal has”. I now know what they’re referring to. I would often ask how a fish taco can be screwed up because I’ve had too many do it. This was delicious, unfussy food & friendly service.

Fantastic Carne asada and the service was wonderful! My girlfriend and I shared a burrito and they prepared 2 plates and cut it in half for us. It was very filling and I highly recommend it!
