Not for sure why everybody is talking smack but everybody that I met in this office was so loving and kind!!
They actually care about you..... And yes I'm actually talking about the staff as well...!!
I recommend this doctor to everyone!!
If you want nice and lovable staff members and a nice and lovable doctor please go see this doctor you will see what I mean.

A couple months ago I had en endoscopy done. Dr canale went above and beyond his work! It was more than expected. For a procedure that lasted 2-4 hours, I have to say I was pretty nervous. Not only did he do an amazing job, but other staff did too. The part i loved the most, was the fact he said a prayer before the procedure. He seemed so confident. I have to say throughout my life i never came across a dr like this one. Until this day he still checks up on me. Not even my primary doctor does what I know its not necessary for him to do.

Had an EGD procedure with Dr. Canale at Stanislaus surgery center. The nurses were very kind and helpful. They explained everything. The procedure went smooth. They followed up the next day to make sure I was okay and then scheduled a follow up with the doctor as well!

I had a colonoscopy done a few days ago that I had put off for years because I thought it was going to be so horrible. Not at all! I had a fabulous doctor, Dr Canale, wonderful bedside manner, said a prayer before we started, he was so kind and gentle. I could not have been happier with a situation that could have been horrible. I will definitely keep Dr Canale as my Dr and will have him again, if he is still practicing, for next time, in 5 years. Thank you Dr. Canale and everyone at Merced Surgery Center. From the moment I walked in to the second I left, EVERYONE was wonderful. Thank you to all that helped me in anyway.

I was nervous before my procedure. But after speaking with him i felt comfortable, and relax. I knew i was in good hands. And it all worked out well. Thank you.

Procedure was easy , was over before i knew it . It was pain free with no issues. Very kind Dr , cares about his patients well being .

Firstly, I absolutely adore Dr. Canale. He is thorough, kind, and doesn't try to rush out in 3 mins like so many doctors do. Dr. Canale gets 5☆. His staff get 1☆ for never returning my calls, overscheduling patients and setting follow up appts 4 months later. I had to reschedule My 1st appt after waiting in wait room for over 2 hrs and told there were 3 people agead of me still..!! What makes these people think that OUR TIME isn't as precious or costly as their time or the doçtors?? Overscheduling is a huge problem there!! The office Manager should take note of this.

These people NEVER answer their phone!!! I need to change my procedure date, and I have called at least7 times and left messages with everyone I can. No reply. Nothing. Nada! Is this what you call effective patient care!? If this is the way you operate over there, then your office is really shoddy and unprofessional. I can’t imagine that the service or the care would be any better.

The service with the attending Nurse Practitioner was unprofessional since he did not ask me why I was referred over by primary dr. He just asked my name and then said your going to have a colonoscopy. I had to say don't you want to know why I'm here? The scheduler from Emanuel or Dr. Canale called me only once to leave a message on my recorder. I returned her call three times only getting an answer machine. So, I called Dr. Canales several times as well. without any person picking up the phone call. Or returning my calls. I called to let then know no one has called me back from Emmanuel hospital. then some one finally answered the phone to say the lady that called me went on vacation. So I told her I was scheduled for a procedure in a few days and no one has called me for a pre-op and the hospital needs to be informed that I will not be showing up because I was quarantined for 10 days at home due to Covid-19 exposure from a positive person. One of Dr. Canales receptionist said she would notify the hospital. The hospital never called me back after several attempts on my part as well. I have worked in hospitals through out CA and I know this is not their common practice.

Poor poor assistance on the doctors assistants. They give you the run around and have you calling different clinics back and forth and sending incomplete files to other clinics and that makes you call everywhere basically doing their jobs. Horrible horrible experience and the doctor there needs a new staff and they never call back then you leave messages either. Don’t recommend such a waste of time and energy here. People need help real help and it won’t come to them because of such a bad staff

I was referred to this office for specific GI care, it took their office over a month to even call me to review my case and get my medical history. It has now been three weeks since I gave them my history but I still do not have an appointment for my needed procedure. The office never answers the phone and do not return calls thus I do not know if or when I will get my care. I will seek care elsewhere since the patients are not important enough to even get the basic needs met by this clinic.

Needs major improvement!
My mother had an appoitment at 11am. We got there on time, and did 5 minutes of paperwork. We were there until 1pm and all they did was talk with her for a total of 8 minutes. They had people that arrived there for their 10am appoitment and were still waiting at 12pm. The wait time is ridiculous! Who ever is scheduling the appointments needs to work on his/her skills.

I arrived for my Procedure after a 48 hour prep only to find out my appointment has been canceled a week prior. At no time did their office notify me of the cancellation or try to reschedule. When I called they said that I was never scheduled for the procedure. I have paperwork in hand as proof. They were rude and inconsiderate to the fact that they messed up.

Absolutely horrible, receptionist at the one in Modesto is rude. They schedule me an appointment to see how mu stomach is digesting the food and I've yet to hear back from them and when I call they tell me I need to wait for them to call me. So unprofessional I asked my Doctor to change my G.I specialist because this man obviously doesn't care about his patients.
