Sala Thai Restaurant

This was our first time eating at Sala Thai Restaurant, and we really enjoyed eating there. My son recommended it because it's his favorite Thai restaurant in the Spokane area. We loved the pad see ew, the beef soup and the fried rice. They also serve a hot cup of delicious chicken and rice soup for starters. The atmosphere was friendly and warm.

My friend and I drove to Airway Heights to try out Sala Thai.

This restaurant wasn’t on our original list of places to try, but when I saw them post one of their dishes on Facebook, I immediately sent it to my friend and we both agreed we were going there next! Next happened to be last night.

What we ordered was what they call “Happy Boat” with Salmon, Shrimp, and Scallops (extra shrimp for my friend and no scallops). Let me say that it was sensational and we were both very happy we were able to try it. It does come with a side of jasmine rice (not pictured).

They do close fairly early though, which does make it difficult for those that like to dine later (7:30 Tuesday thru Saturday) and are closed Sundays and Mondays.

We haven't been anywhere else for about a month and a half since our car accident.
This was the first place we visited to get out of the house. The food is always great and the staff and owners are very friendly.
Try the curry, you won't regret it! If you're brave, ramp up the heat!
The fried rice platter is huge and is so yummy!

Don't forget the iced Thai coffee!

I love their dining room. It's spacious and has a classy feel. I love the food and enjoy ordering my lunches from here. If you ask you can get dinner items as well. I love their masaman curry.

Be aware, though. Make sure you believe their spice warning. Zero and one are significantly different.

I get the phad Thai with shrimp every time, and it's delicious! Serving size are large, enough to take home. I have tried level 1 spicy, and it definitely has a kick, but still enjoyable. The rice soup had good flavor. It's definitely a place I always go to when I'm in Spokane.

Excellent food. I recommend the old man. It’s in the top 5 places to eat in Airway Heights. Very comfortable atmosphere.

The tum yum noodle soup is soo good. I have eaten it at least 20 times. It has rice noodles, gound pork, shrimp and fish balls plus some veggies. Every time I say I am going to try something different... It never happens because it is so yummy. I order the same thing every time. I have had the beef salad after I tried what my wife ordered and it was delicious. I come here at least once a week. Love our waiter Railey!

Visiting from California, and our friends recommendation was to hit this little gem in a strip mall-ish location. Great takes on fresh spring rolls (the lime-chili dipping sauce was amazing - and even more so when we added it to the chicken rice soup that came with lunch), pad Thai and red curry. The spicy old man was a great stir fry. Not sure if they get crazy when you ask for spicy, but their standard wasn’t quite spicy enough. That’s easily fixed with some chilis and condiments.
Fast service, and clearly popular with the locals. We went in for an early lunch and watched a steady stream of people come in.

Delicious food & great service. We ordered several items and enjoyed them all. Service was friendly, helpful and quick. Atmosphere was relaxed.

I would give it 10 stars. Amazing Staff. Lynn was perfect! The chefs came out and asked how the food was.. I lived near Seattle for 20 years and never found Thai food like this. Each bite better than the last!!

Spice levels run hotter than most restaurants. Start with level one. Always add more spicy-ness

This place was nice and very friendly staff. I enjoyed the food and the amount of food was huge. If you leave quest for a meal stop here.

This has to be one of the best Thai places I have been in a while. I frequently travel to LA and all up and down the west coast. Penang curry is my usual and it didn’t disappoint here.This has to be the best I have had in years. If I’m back in this area again this will be a dinner stop for sure. Good beer selection as well.

The food is great and the restaurant is very clean. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly. We highly recommend this restaurant.

We love Sala Thai! I highly recommend the Spicy Old Man, Red Curry, and Basil Fried Rice. As a highly selective eater I really appreciate their quality protein and fresh ingredients. Large pieces of perfectly cooked chicken and amazing flavors. Their service is top notch, and I think their servers are a testament to the amazing family that own the restaurant. I only tried their red curry in the last 6 months and I'm only slightly embarrassed to say I talk my spouse into eating there no less than twice a month, I'm obsessed! Try them, you won't be disappointed. Thanks, Sala Thai Family, for such a great dining experience!

Great dinner! They use really hot chilis, so be advised when choosing your spice level!

Just had dinner with a group of 10 on a night where they seemed a little shortstaffed. Even though everything took a little longer to get, it was worth the wait. The crab rangoons were some of the best I have ever eaten, and the Siam Crispy Chicken (pictured) was absolutely amazing. Flavorful, super crispy and very cool presentation being served in the pineapple bowl. They have a kids menu with a pretty good selection all priced at 4.95. My daughter got the crispy chicken and rice and was served a huge portion that i wouldve expected from a full meal. Will definitely be returning to try some other things.

I lived out in Airway Heights for years and only recently tried this establishment. I wish I ate here sooner! The staff were one point, the place was clean, and surprisingly quick. I had the chicken satay with a side of rice. It was juicy, tender, and perfectly grilled. The peanut sauce was to die for! I wholeheartedly recommend Sala Thai if you are out in Airway Heights.
