We specialize in dive bars. What's a dive bar to me? No kitchen, no dress codes, opens before noon (6:30 AM preferred), friendly people, clean but not neat. This place is one, expect for opening time. Its hard to find without GPS because its not where a bar should be. That makes it special. Its a neighborhood bar among the homes. With a view of the Pacific Ocean, sunset, and a sandy area outside to gather.

So I rated food average since there is none.

But the view is the highlight

A bar on the beach with personality, some history, & dog friendly. Inside has darts, billiard tables, jukebox, live televised games, & drinks overflowing. The drinks on average are reasonably priced by comparison, & actually taste great. Outside consists of an enclosed area if there is any wind, but want to enjoy the view through the plexiglass in a comfortable patio setting. Kick it up a notch & head to the beachside where you can sip on a drink while seated on an Adirondack chair, feet in the sand, catching a few rays, & watching spectacular sunsets. Also, you can join in for a few games of volleyball. This is my goto place in SoCal!

Great vibes, friendly folks, nice view of the beach, tasty drinks and snacks. Has pool tables and outdoor seating in the patio or on the beach (yes with your drinks!). My uncle participated in their St. Patrick's day events many years ago; the bartender remembered him and showed us pictures. If I lived there it would be my go-to neighborhood spot.

Cash only spot. Has a pool table in the back. The best part is the patio where you are right on the beach. The are priced very well and tend to have a local crowd. Not fancy but well maintained.

Great place for having a beer or cocktail with the locals. Nice, friendly bartenders ( Frank and Gavin in particular ), lively games of pool, and good music coming from the jukebox. Highly recommended especially on the weekend.

2 pool tables at 50 cents per game, knowledgeable locals to talk to and a juke box. What more can you ask for?

Exactly the dive bar we expected. Service was mediocre but gave us a lot of laughs which was what we were looking for. First call came way too soon as obvious drinkers would expect. Totally coming back when we are in the area. Thanks again

Great views , 3 volleyball courts, 2 billiards tables. If your not into talking about boats and airplanes please find a different place. Have a Coors banquet and move to the porch noth of the bar. Tip and act like you have been a real bar. This is the Rudder room! Buy the t shirt , drink the drink..

You can't ask for more here. This is one of those places that does the most basic things, but In a superb execution, with great quality. The one thing I would ask for is for them to take card. This place is cash only.

Shout out to the bartender Rory. Awesome person. My friend and I had a super fun time we will someday visit there again.

Always visit this spot when I’m in area. It’s a plus to see the sea lions that close. Great little bar

Had a blast here but it's cash only so bring that money. Inside is small but you can sit outside right on the sand and with your drink.
