I had to take my kitty Princess in to be euthanized yesterday. The staff were very nice and Dr. Feingold was amazing.

He did a consultation where we went over everything. It was very thorough and helpful.

They have these brochures to help with loss. That is so thoughtful and kind.

I got to spend some time with my cat before we left. It was very good that I got my kisses in, as the last cat I did not.

This is the place to go. The care is the finest and the compassion is real.

UPDATE: We recently received a card in the mail from Dr. Feingold wishing us well about having to put down Princess.

ANOTHER UPDATE 2-24-24: Dr. Feingold's office made a donation in Princess' name to the Companion Animal Memorial Fund. It supports studies into problems and afflictions facing a wide variety of different animals.

Thank you so much, Dr. Feingold! Princess was a very special cat to me. She used to do this thing where she'd rub her cheek across my face. It was so cute.

Dr Feingold is a thorough Vet. He explained in detail the issues with my cat Diva. He gives discounts to Seniors and the Staff is professional.

To those who might be looking into taking their animal(s) to Oxnard Veterinary Hospital (or to those who were referred to Oxnard Veterinary Hospital by another veterinary hospital, as was the case with me)---

I am honestly not sure how there are any negative reviews floating around for Oxnard Veterinary Hospital... My experience with them today was absolutely fantastic. I truly felt like my dog was in caring hands with the doc, not to mention I felt welcomed as soon as I walked in the door.

To those on-the-fence about their animal's care at Oxnard Vet, here is my unbiased feedback from my visit today--

Time: Unlike past vet visits, in no way did I feel 'rushed' during my visit here. The doctor actually spent a lot of time with me today... Q&A/learning about my animal's history, going over different treatment options after his diagnosis and even took extra time to elaborate and make sure I knew how to do some at-home treatment/care for my animal.

Price: The animal that I took in for a visit today has been my companion through my own personal financial hardships, as well as times of financial 'normalcy'. Having said that, I've been to many different vet offices (price usually being front of mind for me)... Oxnard Vet is honestly one of the more affordable choices I've been to. Without asking, the doctor told me the prices of getting my dog's shots/vaccines during the same day visit and quickly let me know that they run a clinic at the office 3 days/week, providing a cheaper alternative to the in-office pricing I was just presented. Any subsequent pricing that I was shown for x-rays/treatment all felt very honest/appropriate from my past vet experiences.

Love for Animals: People who truly love their work, tend to do the best job at their work. I felt like every single employee at this facility truly cared for the animals that were there... not just mine, but all of them. It felt like everyone was in that office because they wanted to be there, not because they were being forced to be there. I mention this specifically out of experience... I've been to veterinarian offices where the staff just looked like they didn't want to be there (apathetic, rude, generally unhappy). Happy to report that this was NOT the case at Oxnard Veterinary Hospital during my visit.

This was just my first visit to Oxnard Vet Hospital, but I will surely be going back again. I can't speak to some of the other reviews I see posted on here, but I did want to post my experience with this vet office to those needing care for their animals, but not sure where to go (I had many offices flat out tell me they weren't bringing any new animals in for care). Since I will be taking my animals in for more visits in the near future... if my experience with the office somehow changes or begins to feel like some other experiences I've read... I'll absolutely post an update here. For now... so far so good! Very pleased.

Dr. takes the time to explain. staff are super sweet to you & your 4 legged baby. highly recommended. Keep up the great job.

Amazing staff. I was here 2 years ago and the difference is amazing. Respectful and compassionate members. Was helped in a timely manner. Doctor was amazing. If you came here before and didn't like the service come back it has changed tremendously. It's an amazing place my questions where answers. I recommend it. 2nd chances do exist.

I have been taking my little rescue here for two years now. The staff is always great and so caring! Dr.Feinstein cares about the pets and is very upfront about costs. I’m glad they are so considerate and have always squeezed us in as best as they could!

Dr. Jan Feingold and his staff are the best vet around.

Dr. Feingold was phenomenal. On my way to Alaska (military) and we needed a health certificate and vaccines for our kitten we found as a stray. We came in thinking he was a he, but found out he is actually a she lol Dr. Feingold and his staff took great care of our girl. They were all very helpful, responsive, knowledgeable, and accommodating. Would definitely recommend this clinic and would return if I was not moving to Alaska.

Dr. Feingold is fantastic! He really cares about the animals and their owners! The entire process, from checking-in to the detailed exam, was simple and easy. He was able to perform the exam in about 20 minutes and was very thorough. Thanks again for such wonderful service!!!!!!!!!

The staff and vet have continually gone above and beyond for our family.

To begin with, when my dog broke his dew claw no one in town could fit us in. When I called OVH they told me that they had a full schedule. HOWEVER, they could make time for him because they didn’t want a dog to be in pain.

When I went there everyone from the receptionist to the vet tech (sooo sweet and gentle with my pup) and the vet we were warm and professional.

Additionally, I recently called after hours hoping to have them call me back the next day. To my surprise I received a call ten minutes later. When I asked about the after hours call the receptionist simply told me that they were closed but she had checked the phone one last time. If I were her I would have left my call for the next day. But no! She called me back, off the clock, just to help me solve my issue (which wasn’t life or death at all, just pharmacy related).

OVH may not be the most glamorous office you ever visit but it will be the biggest hearted.

Dr. Feingold was very caring & informative in his diagnosis & treatment options of my kitty. He took the time to thoroughly explain. Staff was very helpful & polite. Thank you for free items for my pet. : )

Coming from someone who just switched vet clinics. This clinic is the BEST veterinary in town! Gives you the proper attention to your fur babies. Not to mention, the doctor and staff are SUPER friendly!

Its always so pleasant to come here. The front desk is always so nice. Me and my pets automatically feel like we were being treated like family.

The doctor here is so amazing ! Staff is wonderful and very professional they are so welcoming! I feel like I’m with family every time I go !!

I love this place. The clinic staff is friendly and helpful, their advice is always solid and they do not push a lot for useless and expensive treatments.
