CIVH is the BEST Vet Hospital! I first went to them in 2013 when my first dog had a rare issue where she couldn't close her mouth, my regular vet was not able to see us and Dr. Garrolini was able to fit us in and treated my beautiful girl to her normal self, and we haven't gone to another vet again. Dr. Anderson (now retired), Dr. Mackinnon and Dr. Peyser have all been amazing with my Sheyla then and with my Lucy now. And dont get my started with the staff through out the years and now Nancy, Kat, Holly, Christine, Colleen, Sonia, Everyone that has seen my Lucy; Ive never met a friendlier, more kind staff and who love my girl. Lucy just LOVES it when I say it's time to go the Vet and If that's not a testament of how great they are I'm not sure what is. Thank you CIVH!!! I appreciate you all! :)

Always take my pups here for years. The best veterinarian in the state. Because they're close to base, they're perfect in knowing how to prepare USDA documentation for taking pets international when you have been a loyal customer. Literally no problem here.

Seven and Paige Turner have been coming here since they were puppies. The health care is top notch and the friendly service is highly appreciated.

Very friendly vet techs here, a nice welcoming staff. The vet that worked on my pug Milo was very informative and friendly 😊 they even have prizes you can win for your pet!

I have a 12 year old pitbull Ace who is my best friend. He rupture his CCL in both knees 2 years apart from each other. In an effort to find the best approach for Ace I read as much as I could and opted for conservative management.
When Ace ruptured his CCL in his second knee, I took him to a Veterinary Orthopedic Specialist who told me if Ace did not get the TPLO surgery he would be a couch potato the rest of his life.
I still chose the conservative management approach and year and a half later and he’s walking daily and enjoying an active life.

When I decided to take the conservative management approach with supporting Ace, I was referred to Dr. MacKinnon This brings me to Channel Islands Veterinary Hospital. I am thankful for CIVH and their support and treatment they provide to Ace. Ace would not be doing as well as he is without their support.
Immediately you can sense that Dr. McKenna loves the animals she treats. Dr. MacKinnon takes her time with Ace and does not give the impression that she is trying to rush you out of the room. What I most appreciate about Dr. MacKinnon is that she educated me. She took the time to answer my questions and provided explanations for things that I can do differently at home to support Ace.
All in all I appreciate Dr. MacKinnon’s kindness, care and willingness to teach. I am truly grateful for Dr. MacKinnon and the rest of the staff at CIVH who have shown a noticeable culture of kindness and care.

I love coming to this Veterinary Hospital. The staff is very welcoming and friendly. I’m a first time dog mom and the vet techs and vets are super informative and helpful. I’m glad I found this vet for my puppy, every time I come I have a good experience 😊🐾

We have been bringing our dogs here for years. First our Lulu and now our Bella. Every Vet and tech we have had have always been great but service was never better than during the tragic passing of our Lulu. During Covid she had an emergency and we needed to rush her in after hours and although this location wasn’t able to take us they directed us to their other location in Camarillo. Unfortunately, she passed but even during a pandemic they let us in to mourn her passing and the compassion the vet and staff gave was absolutely amazing. So rest in peace Lulu but like Bella we will bring all our dogs here!

My pets love going here, no fear of the vet appointments! Dr. McKinnon is kind and so very knowledgeable. She takes her time with her patients and offers a variety of information when you seek help.

The staff is always SO wonderful with our dog! He is not a fan of coming to the vet but everyone treats him so nicely to make him feel welcome. We were recommend to Channel Island Vet by a neighbor and are so thankful for Dr Hovan.

They are warm, caring and informative. We have had nothing but great experiences with them since we began taking our pup there. They are so supportive with our nervous pup.

Such wonderful staff, very kind, caring and informative. The Drs. listen to your concerns and are passionate about answering all of your questions. The Facility is neat, clean and comfortable.

Brought in my new kitten just to be sure he is 110% good since he was just adopted. The ladies came out from checking in patients just to see him, I mean, who doesn't love puppies and kittens!!!

They are the BEST!! My Rott, Brooklyn was a patient of theirs for 10 years until she passed away and the love and compassion they gave us as she passed was unmatched! When we got our 2 new fur babies it was an no-brained to have them under their care as well.

They take very good care of my mother and her new puppy. She even brought her previous dog here as well.
