Hampton Inn Channel Islands Harbor

This Hotel is by far the most professional guest oriented Hilton in Oxnard. I’ve written a review prior to this and considered not to be enough for the time being in a reality, it just gets better and better, because all of the qualities are the employees at work here at the Hampton are permanent. The smile is a genuine their eager to help and put you where you need to be. my intention is not too dragged down the other two Hilton in Oxnard but hopefully my words about Hampton will help them get their self together because times I visited those locations. The treatment was almost nothing. It’s like you’re getting on their nerves and you shouldn’t be walking in and checking into the hotel at that particular moment, because one of them, or a few of them, they all be busy doing something else that doesn’t pertain to the extended guest services,. Forgive me Hilton &Homewood Suites, but your properties need to step it up……Really

We loved our stay here! Hubby and I did a "staycation" from orange county here (with a 6 year old) and we were impressed! We upgraded to a room that overlooked the marina and got to enjoy a Halloween boat parade on a balcony! Room was super clean and very spacious! Front desk staff was really helpful in regards to a roll out bed for our son (booked a 1 bed room) an associate met us at the elevator and placed the roll out bed in our room as we headed out to the pool. Very friendly and helpful. And breakfast was yummy! Typical Hampton Inn stay but with a fun beachy-twist. Thanks for the stay!

Great hotel. Stayed here to be close to the Island Packers to go to the Channel Islands: this hotel is only 15 minutes to Island Packers. Loved the contactless check in. FYI: you’ll still need to check out at the front desk. Cold water at the fitness center. Business area was nice. Snacks for purchase. The breakfast was nice: fruit, yogurt, toast, cereal, waffles, potatoes, eggs, bacon or sausage. Juices and coffees. The breakfast lady gave me a tray to bring the fit to my room. The only thing I didn’t like is that if you want to store your valuables, you have to bring them to the front desk for the safety deposit boxes. Would be nice to have them in the room. Saw that the room does recycling but we never found the blue bin. Very comfortable bed. Clean and spacious. Felt safe in the area. Right by the water: you can hear the seals! Would stay here again.

First of all, this was at the end of a road on the opposite side of the inlet from all of the action so it was very quiet. It was less than a mile walk across the bridge to get to restaurants and the Oxnard boat trip to the Channel Island National park (the reason we were there). A few seal were sunning in the pier outside of our room. The rooms were clean, and breakfast was decent. Matthew checked us in and was very helpful. I’m so glad we picked this hotel!

Excellent hotel and a very enjoyable stay. Hotel was clean, rooms were spacious, quiet, beds and pillows were very comfortable, staff was especially friendly and accommodating, breakfast was substantial and tasty. And all for a very reasonable rate.

We loved our stay! The room was great, definitely try to get a room with a balcony on the harbor side for amazing sunset and water views.

Seriously the best deal and kindest receptionists. We had a great view and were able to take our cat. We will be back!

Oh! We saw 2 dolphins from our patio! They were in the harbor just jumping around. It was great.

The room was very quiet and clean. The bed firmness and pillows were just right. The air conditioner worked well. And the area is nice. I will be back here to stay!

A nice little secret in the neighborhood !

Our room had a patio right on the water. Literally 50ft from the sliding door.

Also this hotel has a great fire pit area separate from the pool area !! Can’t say enough about the gas fire pit. We really enjoyed it !!

This Hampton Inn at Channel Islands was very impressive. They were constantly cleaning and maintaining the property while I was there. Not just the regular vacuum and such, but deep cleaning the carpets in the rooms that weren't occupied and updating the baseboards, etc. The housekeepers were present enough to meet my needs without being obtrusive and the front desk staff were great. I was there for a lengthy business stay and I'm hearing impaired so when I had mail or packages, they made sure to notify me. The location and view from the balcony were perfect and it was very calming (though cold during my stay) to sit on the balcony after work and enjoy looking over the peaceful marina.

I’ve stayed here a few times, it’s become my new favorite hotel in the Ventura area. Location is great, right by condos and away from Channel Islands Blvd, so it’s usually very quiet. Rooms are nice, clean and views are good. Within walking distance from parks, marina and Topper’s pizza. Highly recommend this place.

My family & I stayed here 8/23-24/2023. Nice hotel, great staff, clean and attractive rooms, very reasonable price. We would definitely stay here again.

Great stay, the room was very clean and neat. Bed is comfortable and the rooms are quiet. Breakfast was good, not much to choose from but still quite good aside from the potatoes which tasted of cardboard. Check-in was very quick and efficient. Only negative thing is that you are charged 12usd/day for the parking which is insane considering there isn't much around the hotel. Overall a good experience.

During my 6 day stay, I loved it. Room was clean. The service was awesome. The breakfast choices were great. Nice and hot. Quiet place to rest.

Staying here to enjoy the Channel Islands. Super clean and modern looking interior. Johnny and Joseph working the front desk were the friendliest and so helpful on adding an extra day to our stay.

This is a wonderful hotel. They seem to really take pride in their property from the updates to the landscape to the staff. Everything was wonderful. We even took advantage of the ability to rent a surrey bike right in the lobby!

Very nice and clean hotel. Looks like it was renovated not so long ago. Rooms very clean and large. Lots of parking $12 per night. Serves free pretty good breakfast. Has a pool. Located near marine. We stayed for one night on the way to LA and it definitely exceeded our expectations.

Enjoyed our stay. Nice clean rooms , friendly service , great location , and awesome complimentary breakfast. The pool was nice too.

I can't say enough good things about this gem of a hotel. I was looking for a safe place a bit out of the way while visiting Los Angeles, and found everything I was looking for and more.

The room was spotless, the shower was large with on demand hot water that didn't disappoint.

The hallways were bright and freshly painted, not to mention very clean.

Right outside was a walking trail that hugged the beautiful marina and sported the most incredible 🌇 🌅 sunset!

The free breakfast was a treat, the eggs and sausage were right on point, along with great coffee and pastries.

There was no evidence of homeless, which I read in other reviews, and can't imagine this location would have them since it is a marina location at the end of a peninsula little roadway.

The one thing that has been mentioned that I just factored into the price is the fee for parking which is $12 a night, in an area where parking is plentiful and the area is safe (looks like the hotel does nothing extra to keep your car safe).

Overall, I highly recommend this great establishment!!

Pet friendly hotel in a great location. We got a room with a harbor view. There are plenty of options to walk your dog, park right next to the hotel, and a trail going around the harbor.
