The Bookworm

This was the most adorable and quaint bookstore I've ever encountered. When traveling, I prefer to go to locally owned shops then big chains. I found exactly what I needed for some airplane reading.

Please do yourself a favor and shop from Mrs Figs’ Bookworm instead of Amazon for your book needs. Not only will you be supporting a local business rather than the largest corporation; you’ll be shopping a small business that supports local authors and artists.
She always has the trending books and great recommendations for lesser known gems. ❤

My new favorite bookstore. I prefer to support small businesses, and will make this a place I frequent. They have a vast selection of books from all genres. They have a large kids section with books, puppets, sticker books, activity books, (Melissa and Doug, Highlights, etc.), puzzles, and more. The bookstore is neat and very well organized. The customer service is outstanding too.

There is nothing better than a local bookstore, and this place is phenomenal for both its location and selection, as well as a wonderful children’s area and very friendly staff. I’ve found books here browsing that I never would have though of to look for online, and they provide a lot of concierge services that you wouldn’t find anywhere else.

This store is straight out of a movie. It's adorable. They have a ton of books for such a small place. It has a comforting and cozy feeling as soon as you walk in and the owner is the sweetest lady. Super helpful and friendly. I love this store and wish they had one back home in Northern California!

I've loved this store since it opened. Connie is a beautiful person who has an amazing energy. She recently sold the place but she is staying on to help transition... The idea is to keep the place the same, just as she did when she bought it from Mary .....( I think more than 12 years ago??) I am sad to see Connie moving on but it's time for her to have the time to sit down and read a book for once, since she has helped so many of us do it. No one is ever unwelcome in this store... It is everyone's happy place... Thank you Connie! I am positive the person you've sold the store to will be just as amazing.

There for the first time today and while I was shopping the owner greeted every customer that came in by name. Truly has the feel of a cozy, charming small town bookshop! Love it! Nice selection of books too. Made this bookworm happy. 😄

How have I not already reviewed this place?! In fact, I would put it on my top 10 of Camarillo spots to visit. I LOVE Mrs Figs' Bookworm! Each time you go there, you feel this warm fuzzy feeling, like you've entered some enchanted book store with excellent customer service and pretty much everything you need -- especially in terms of gift giving -- at your finger tips. I know how easy it is to go to Amazon and order what you need, but if you really want to peruse your books (and other gifts!), please stop by Mrs Figs to get what you'd like. They are competitively priced, and gift wrap for free! I love this place!

Small bookstore, but helpful and knowledgeable staff.

Love this bookstore! Great selection of books for all ages. Love the “porch” to sit and peruse a book or to listen to a book reading. If a wanted book isn’t in their inventory, they will get it.

Love, love, love this l'il bookstore! If they don't have it they'll order it. Very, very customer friendly. Love a good bookstore..... especially those that are locally owned! Go and support this sweet store❤

Came here for a birthday present for a 6-year old, and wound up leaving with several books. Connie was awesome and showed me some great gift ideas and other books I ended up getting for my own kids. Great store that is a institution in Camarillo. Hope it sticks around for a long time.

My wife and I just made our first purchases today at Mrs. Figgs and we had a wonderful experience! She was so nice, attentive, and her store has a magic about it. I can’t wait to buy my next book there 😁!

I love this sweet store. Every town should have a bookstore just like this. Whenever I am in the area I stop in and always leave with at least one book to add to my collection. The staff is wonderful and will give you suggestions if you need them. Read America!!

I came in to pick up a book that I ordered and when the owner saw my name was Rebecca, she asked if I had ever read the book Rebecca. When I said I hadn't read it yet, she quickly grabbed a copy off the shelf and was talking about the book excitedly. I told her that it sounded great, but I could only afford one book at the moment. She inderstood, rang me up and out I went. Only after I got into the car did I notice that there were 2 books in my bag, the one I ordered and a paperback of Rebecca. The book was everything she said it was and more. Thank you for your kindness and passion for the written word.

Usually gives discount on summer reading on some books with Student ID! What a great way to be affordable for students! And Mrs.Figs herself is a very nice woman. Very patient for sure.
