El Forastero

If you're hesitant about taco trucks or fearful of getting a bad meal; you definitely don't have to worry about this truck. The food here is delicious and as close to Grandma's as your going to get. I've been in search of the perfect Chile Reno burrito for years. I am close to ending my search. This is year 6 of my search, and El Forastero is tied for 1st place so far. For now, at least in Ventura county, this truck is my weekly go to for a fresh fast meal. Thank you, Victor, for the great food and wonderful customer service.

Stopped here because of reviews and location is close to home. Menu was diverse with multiple choices from tacos, chili rellenos, tostadas, etc. Wife ordered three carne asada tacos plus side of beans. I ordered a tostada and one taco of lengua. Meat in tacos was flavorful and plentiful and was served with grilled onions on the side plus onions and salsa either red or green on top. Wife loved the red salsa while I thoroughly enjoyed the green salsa. Wife said the red salsa was a perfect spiciness. Corn tortillas were good. You also get slices of cucumber plus sliced lemons. Ladies working in truck were very nice and friendly. Truck is parked on the South side of the Shell gas station. Wife said this is her new favorite taco place. We both recommend El Forastero for good reasonably priced Mexican food.

These tacos are very good and not like some others. They’re not greasy or make you feel heavy after you eat them. Also they have coca mexicana.

I was in a hurry and was sick of the chain restaurant and pulled over to this taco truck. The lights enticed me and the food was great. I've had tacos a few times, always fresh. The salsa was just right. My last time I had a Torta that was fantastic! I've been there a few times now. A family run small business that have great customer service and decent prices.

This spot really cares about what they serve. The quality and price is great. You got to check the times and days they set up. If not, you would be disappointed and drive around looking for a taco truck and get stuck settling for a spot that looks like a night club on wheels... Try the birria, and get a Chile rejeno for your vegetarian kid. Either way, you'll return to try everything on the menu like I have. Sincerely, a super satisfied customer. Thank you.

I live in Oxnard and I've tried about 10 taco trucks. These are the BEST in Ventura County. Meat is so moist and the salsa is to die for. I've been coming for years now. I usually get the tacos de lengua, asada and biria. Everything's delicious.

This is our go to spot for delicious Mexican food.

Great flavor I had everything except Chile relleno and tripas it's all excellent. the must have are tostadas simple full of flavor and it's like a curve ball. Super kind owner.
