WinCo Foods

We've recently been introduced to WinCo and love the bulk concept, some items are slightly cheaper than Sam's/Costco and some are not, definitely beats most retail grocery chains. The biggest con for me is not being able to pay with CC coming from someone who values the points and miles games along with the warranties that comes with it. Fortunately we do have a debit card with CRO that gives us 3% cashback and SoFi which beat paying cash any day. Understand that there is no membership cost involved but with the points and cashbacks that we get plus wholesale discounts, we easily cover membership cost (usually free for Sam's from promos).
Got to say though the bulk items when bought in small qtys really add up fast, will have to pick and choose what items are worth buying from here. We're big on DIY so we don't care too much about service, we'd rather do the checkout ourselves, even though a nice staff tried to help us out when we couldn't get the Maui mango tea out of the canister.

Huge selection great prices good produce. Less expensive than other local options. Great bulk food section with spices, grains, nuts, etc. They don't take credit cards. ATM or cash only.

Love this place! A great relief from the price gouging happening at other box stores right now, and the couple of times I've been there it was well-stocked and clean.

It took me awhile to become a Winco fan- I felt it was too large and noisy, similar to Costco shopping experience. However, after starting with visiting their bulk bins regularly for special candies, I discovered that Winco is a less busy and overwhelming shopping experience compared to Costco, but can find some similar great $ value deals.
It is very large and open and they do carry quite a lot of brand names. The produce section I feel like stays fresh because they turnover the product pretty quickly. I highly appreciate that they have a bulk bin section.
Prices generally are lower than what you might see at Walmart. After Trader Joe’s this is probably my go-to for food shopping.
They are also open 24 hours for those of you who like to do quiet late-at-night shopping.

Nice store with competitive prices. Big selection. There are fresh coffee beans and there is a grinder available if interested.

Staff always helpful.

Only criticism is there are sections of the store without signage so as a fairly new user, I end up pushing my cart back and forth or asking for help and it's a big store.

Variety of products and brands. Fresh produce, meat, and seafood. Better prices than other popular stores.

Prices are so much cheaper than Vons. It's worth the 15 minute drive. Vegetables and produce are always fresh. Same goes for the meats. Went there today ,,10/30/23 got some good busy. I love this place

Great value whether you're shopping for yourself or a large family!

OK, just so you won't be surprised, this is sort of a "hybrid" grocery store/warehouse. The aisles are wide (which is good, because they are frequently busy!) and well lit. The employees (who we are told "own" the store) keep the shelves well stocked and "faced" (pushing the products to the front so you can see and reach them).

They have all your favorite brands and many you might not have seen before (unlike places like Aldi or Trader Joe's which are like shopping in a foreign country).

Besides full-service bakery and butcher, another feature that sets them apart in this area is their large "bulk" section. You can select from dried goods like beans or cereals and spices as well as candies and even coffee. Just select a container, dispense as much (or little) as you'd like, MARK THE ITEM NUMBER! and carry-on! Really great for saving money or just trying out something you aren't familiar with.

Beer and wine are stocked in the main part of the store, but for liquor, you'll have to go to the customer service section at the front of the store. No biggie, at least they don't force you to call a manager to unlock the case like they do at Wal-Mart!

First impressions of your store was impressive. Store was clean and stocked . So many great values and competitive to other local stores . Sean who was our cashier was great ! So friendly and courteous and professional. Thank you Sean !

I love WinCo Foods. I love the food, I love the prices. They don't take credit cards though.

This is another great store we have here in Ventura.. Again the employees are amazing and the store is organized and clean... They have a section I the back with ready made sandwiches and entrees made fresh daily.. the pretzel bread sandwiches are always fresh and for $2.98 you can beat the deal... They have the best prices in town for deli. And of course my favorite thing about this store is they are open 24/7.. Another store for the late night people... Only downside is they restock around 2am and the loud beeping noise from the forklifts combined with some young employees driving will definitely keep you on your toes and moving quickly...

They are great. Prices are subject to change with no notice. Not uncommon to buy something one day for $2.08 and the next day it is $3.42. You have to buy things when they are cheap because it might be a different price the next time you go in. They have the old bins of candy, nuts, spices, and dried fruits sold by the pound. They DO NOT take credit cards. I always forget this.

Prices don't compare to anywhere nearby. Great selection and prices always appreciated in this economic climate.

I loved the selection they have. Fruits & vegetables are fresh. Employees are always friendly & helpful. Prices here are much cheaper than your average market.

I really like this place. Great selection, good prices and they're always open. There are a lot of good markets in the area, but I think that WinCo has the best overall value.

Windows has the best prices and largest selection of all Ventura supermarkets. I especially appreciate the bulk food selection. Good prices and no wasteful packaging.

Love this place! I get my shopping done at an affordable price, it’s clean and I’m in and out. Great service at every register!
