UPDATE: I've now also used John to sell my home, and he was just as great as when we bought. He made our listing look amazing, and got us well above asking. Can't recommend John highly enough.

John helped my family and I navigate the extremely competitive Spokane market to buy our first home. His knowledge of the real estate market, neighborhoods, and home repairs/maintenance was crucial in helping us get the right house. We truly felt like he had our best interests in mind, and appreciated his honest advice on when and how much to offer on a home so we could get the best home at the best price. He took initiative to find out as much as he could about potential homes, such as calling around to try and find out the local train schedules near the home we ended up purchasing to make sure it wouldn't be a drawback. He even helped us get our home below list price, which is very rare in the current market. He was there ever step of the way to walk us through our first time of buying a home. John constantly went above and beyond, and we would highly recommend him.

Definitely 5 stars out of 5.  I'm a bit of a Real Estate "junkie", or frequent "buyer", if you will.  When moving to Spokane from out of town, I did not know any realtors and I was referred to John Stirling.  In all these years, I have never experienced a RE transaction that was so easy, so smooth and so enjoyable. First John made it his business to find out our likes, dislikes,wishes & needs.  John was positive, informative and knowledgeable about locations and conditions surrounding an area that might or might not have been an issue for us.  He worked with us from long distance sometimes visiting a house we saw online and talking us through the pros and cons (in a very unbiased fashion). John Stirling went the extra 10 miles to smooth every potential roadblock to getting the house we loved " not just a house but a home".  We did not move to the area immediately and John continued to followup after closing, keeping us notified,at a distance, and did so both in professional,exceptional and selfless manner.  I HIGHLY recommend Stirling Real Estate and John Stirling.
