The natural flowers in front are beautiful!
This is one of my favorite national park visitor centers that I've visited. Take the stairs up to the top for some breathtaking views. Watch the bald eagle live camera. Check out the sealife in their tank. So cool!

It's a really nice place to visit while in Ventura. There's a garden in front of the building with native plants from each Channel Island. The exhibits they have are all very informative on each island. The park rangers are extremely nice. There's a spot at the top that you can look to the ocean and the harbor from.

Is the great place to take your kids there is a garden with plant life that exists on the Channel Islands. They also have a observation deck with telescopes. And one of my favorite things is the touch tank inside the facility. They also have three-dimensional maps of the Channel Islands. Take your kids there and buy them the book of The Island of the Blue dolphins which happens to be my favorite childhood book.

So much great information with engaging, interactive displays. Take your time as everything is scattered throughout the space. Don’t miss the stairs and garden. The docents are full of knowledge. Get that Junior Ranger badge.

Very nice experience. Enjoyed the 25 minute film and the exhibits. I also liked the view platform at the top. They do a really nice job keeping this place clean, interesting, and informative. And it's free

Beautiful view, friendly staff. The woman was telling us about the different animals and displays. It’s handicap accessible. They have a little gift shop area.

This is a great visitor center. If you don't have the time to visit Channel islands (like me) definitely make the stop here anyway. The staff are so friendly and helpful. Grab all the info you need to plan your trip next time plus any souvenirs or gifts. There are also plenty of photo opportunities.

Review for April 27th 2022. The channel Islands national Park visiting center is located in the channel Islands peninsula in Ventura county california. The visitor center is open for the public and it is free to come inside. You can take a flight from elevators to the top of the visiting center where they are free telescopes that you can view to see the channel islands. You can also walk upstairs. It's very nice that it's open for the public and there's a lot of information as it relates to the channel islands. Lots of beautiful history here. Thank you very much for allowing me to visit.

Really cool! Tide pool exhibit, mammoth bones, botanical garden, and a rad little folk narrated by none other than one Kevin Costner. Nice day trip for locals and tourists alike.

Cute little visitor center to pick up Channel Iland gifts. The staff recommended the short movie that details the history of the islands, and since we had time before we left on the boat, we watched it. Clean restrooms. Building right on the channel.

Stopped here after taking a wildlife cruise out to the Channel Islands. A very nice visitor center, great views from the tower, and the rangers there were so friendly and knowledgeable. Take a pic with the giant elephant seal statue! There are also pygmy mammoth fossil remains that were found on one of the islands.

They have a replica tidal pool with real fish, starfish, etc., representative of what you'd see in the wild. Small, but good interpretive center. I watched one of several films they offer. It was well done. Second floor observation deck, if you just want to observe the islands from a distance! Loved how they had their gardens planted with native plants from the island! The Giant Coreopsis was awesome!

I love this place to bring my kids to the museum. The employees were friendly and they have a little shop to buy souvenirs and they have a place that you can see a movie. They have some wonderful murals going up the stairs.

I always visit the visitor center of a national or state park. It's for free and provides a lot of information. You can ask for the best trails or views and you can inform yourself with some geofysical history and occuring wildlife or plants. Free parking space. You barely can see the islands from this point though
