I don't care what you say, best pizza in town!!! This place should be packed on a Tuesday, half off!!!, and just good people and food made to order

They almost always have karaoke, which isn't bad. Feels a little dicey but really isn't... Only has one bathroom, total. Great pizza, don't even have to stay for the atmosphere lol

On the 8th Annual BoozeRun 2018, stopped in to collect our Pin for Monterey Cafe, 6th stop of 9. We've been here several times before... this is a great late night stop for buge slices of pizza on the way home from a night of bar hopping. There's indoor and outdoor seating but the place is always packed with the Karaoke crowd. Another popular night-time destination for Spokane.

Known for karaoke. Good for late night pizza by the slice and cheap drinks. Younger crowd generally.

Great Karaoke bar. Staff is fun and friendly, great drink prices and they have excellent pizza as well. (I believe they have a "power hour" from 8-9 where you get pizza slices and beers for a $1.00). Great place to hang with friends and belt out some tunes.

Stopped off by this place after the Comedy Club and were treated to one of the best pizza experiences we have ever had. Each ingredient is discernible making up a wonderful mix of flavor sensations. The crust is unique, and not traditionally a fan of crust, must say that this one is quite well flavored.
Service was prompt, friendly and not overdone.
Monterey Cafe is certainly worth the trip to downtown Spokane for this incredible pizza experience.

If you had asked me my opinion on Monterey Cafe a few years ago, I would have told you to stay away. Terrible service, high prices, and the worst karaoke host I've ever experienced.

I don't know when or why things changed, but I'm so glad I recently gave Monterey another chance. The pizza is one of the best pies downtown, no doubt. The bartenders are friendly and pour delicious drinks. The bouncer keeps a friendly crowd inside and hotheads outside. And the karaoke host, Jess, keeps a tight rotation, a balanced mixer, and throws down some incredible songs herself.

This review is for those of you who, like me, got a bad taste in your mouth from the old Monterey. Give them another shot!

Always a good bar to check out. Seems like they are always doing karaoke if that's what you are into. Great late night pizza stop to grab a few slices while your out bar hopping. I think their pizza is better than the other late night choice for pizza like Boom box. Relaxed atmosphere and a good location to everything

Some of the best pizza in town, a pretty lively nightlife, and just a generally safe place to be. Can get a little crowded but other than that the drinks are well priced and well liquored. Cannot stress how awesome the pizza is you can buy a slice or do what I do and buy a whole pizza and soak up the liquor.

Awesome little bar to get pizza and food late at night. If you like karaoke this is a great spot for you. Joe and Kristine are really friendly and they make you feel at home

Great spot to spend your night in downtown Spokane. Great pizzas, amazing bar tenders, and fantastic Karaoke host's. This is the spot that provides you with food, drink, and customer fueled entertainment.

Five stars because if it ain't worth writing about, I don't. Gene makes the pizza well. It has good sauce and salty, crisp crust. Good crowd.

Came in VERY late and half starved with a wedding party. Too late for drinks we probably didn't need, but staff was courteous and served us up some decent pizza to fill our tummies! I'd love to go back during the day and eat on the little patio or have a drink...

The Monterey Cafe is quite the spot to visit. I've been to a good handful of bars in the area, but if you want an awesome experience. Then this place has a little bit of everything you need from food, booze, and karaoke. There's specials everyday for that someone who can't get enough of this place! The Monterey gets 2 big thumbs up from me for its hip trendy atmosphere, cleanliness, and overall fun hangout spot. Who cares if it does get crowded. The more the merrier!

Found this gem on Trip Advisor when looking for a breakfast option in Monterey. Restaurant isn't very large but the food and service were both excellent. Really enjoyed the omelets, french toasts and pancakes! We are from Texas and my husband said their Huevos Rancheros were some of the best he's ever had. Coffee was nice and hot with good flavor. Best part was we didn't have to wait to be seated!
