My family has gone here for dental work for many years, since before Dr. Mergen joined with Dr. McConnaughey. Dr. Mergen and his team are delightful, which makes going to the dentist slightly less of a downer 🤣. Nice, clean office location with easy access on 14th Ave across from Rosauers. Bernadette usually always says something that makes me laugh when she’s scheduling my next teeth cleaning or whatever.

They have a quote in the waiting room:

“Life is short, so smile while you still have all your teeth.”

I had work done here about a decade ago. Other dentists STILL compliment Dr Mergen's work when I go in for appointments. If I hadn't lost my insurance I would never go to any other. Anytime someone needs dental work I bring up Mergen.

I have been going to Dr. Mergen for years and would not switch dentists for anything. The staff is so friendly and know your name even when you only go in twice a year. Randi is the best hygienist and I always feel like every one in the office truly cares. If you need a dentist I would very highly recommend Dr. Mergen.

Excellent dental work, great care, wonderful office.

Be aware of extra costs. I received a bill several months after paying in full and moving on to another dentist. The charges were for a special toothpaste that was "Given" to my two kids. My insurance doesn't cover special toothpaste and I am sure they were aware of this and didn't consult me prior. The office should be ashamed of this behavior. We moved on to another dentist after only one visit because we felt that Dr. Mergen did not try or care to get to know us. Which is kinda important to us. Our first and only visit felt cold and unwelcoming, besides the front desk receptionist, who was very kind.

went in for some fillings and left in a great deal of pain. After four days the pain had not only gotten worse but my jaw was locked shut! I reached out to the office several times and was told to take Tylenol and wait it out. At no point did Dr. Mergen have me come back in to see what was going on. Finally after almost three weeks of pain and eating through a straw, he prescribed an antibiotic over the phone for the obvious infection that he would have caught sooner if he'd done any follow up care and that took care of the pain. For the next three and a half months he continued to ignore me as I lived on a liquid diet. Finally got in with an oral surgeon and had to pay out of pocket for surgery to repair the damage to my jaw. Dr. Mergen was rough and negligent. I would never go back
