They are the friendliest staff I have experienced. Kept us informed the whole time, worked hard to be sure my husband was comfortable before and after his procedure. I thank them very much. Dr Lubbe deserves a medal he worked tirelessly through many patients scheduled and emergent with no break. He still took the time to answer questions with great bedside manner.

I came here for a follow up on a heart procedure that I had at sacred heart medical center the week before. I was greeted quickly and asked to fill out paperwork . The staff was courteous and asked me to sit down and I would be seen shortly. They were true to their word. I was called in about three minutes. My vitals were taken and recorded and the doctor was in the room within 5 minutes. He treated me as if I was his only patient for the day. He answered every question and asked if I had additional concerns. You could not ask for better care. Thank you doctor Appel and your entire staff. Wish I could give you 10 stars. Thank you for having the huge American flag in your lobby area.

Nurse Heather was reassuring and kept me informed of what was going on in terms of delays on procedures etc. she was so professional and kind, and truly a delight! She answered all my question promptly and sought out answers to those she was unsure of. I felt very lucky to have her as my nurse!

I got lost on the way there and then had a hard time finding parking. Ran about 10-15 minutes late for my appointment. I was worried they wouldn't see me and I would have to reschedule. The lady at the front desk was so kind and got me checked in lickety split. Then Crystal, Dr. Ball's MA, was quick as a bunny getting my vitals and health history. Crystal was so kind and so chill that I was able to relax and focus on the task at hand: seeing the cardiologist and getting questions answered. 10 out of 10!

Though my medical procedure wasn't successful, I am appreciative of the high level of professionalism at the Heart Institute. My Doctor is a man I would trust with my life.
I am also amazed at the nature of the complaints by some patients that I read on here. I think that some of the patient(s) often act like they're the only people in the facility and everyone should be at their beck and call. Arrogance comes in all forms.
If you act like an a--, most places and people will treat you like one.

The care I received today was excellent! My nurse Carol went above and beyond. When you are being tested for heart concerns it can stressful ,she made me relaxed and kept me very informed. Dr Curtis was also very informative and did excellent work. I highly recommend all the staff on 5th floor surgery team. Thanks very much! Jeff Leggett

Just need to be directed to the right department, no answer, had to leave a message??? Unacceptable, there should always be someone to at least take the call and transfer to the correct department. Haven't even been there yet and they are already failing.

I’ve been going to them for three years with complaints of breathlessness, extremely fatigue, irregular heart beat. They never order tests other than an Echo every other year and it’s at my pushing for it. I Usually just complete the short EKG in office despite continued complaints. They’ve been dismissing me too long so I left town and met with a cardiologist/pulmonologist clinic. Just diagnosed with Cardiomyopathy. Would’ve been found sooner if they took their patients concerns seriously. Unfortunately they’re the only group in town. I’d suggest going to a bigger City that has quality practitioners if you can.

Poor family inclusion policies.
My father went in for a stress test and they would not allow my mother to accompany him even after she told them that she would stay out of the way and that it would make him more comfortable for her to be in the room. I live in Portland, OR and accompanied my husband for a stress test many years ago and also recently had one myself and was allowed to have someone in the room with me.
Their excuse was that the room was too small... A modern medical facility should have rooms large enough for their purpose. Apparently, inclusion of family and making patients comfortable is not high on their list of priorities.

My results of my test was NOT sent to my Dr. After a week ! I had to call my Dr. To find out he had no record of being sent! I had to call the heart institute, put on hold for over 1/2 hour! Hung up, called back, another 1/2 hour! Started this process back in April.

I was told we can fix your heart with medication. Dont care about you dealing with sideeffects, sleeping, tremors or what ever else comes along. You are on your own so why bother going in. Falls on deaf ears, guess Seattle might be an option just to get decent care. Even when they called and talked i was wrong and there is only 1 team, what a shame tbat this is the best they have, have to pick death.

Is it too much to ask for a referral to a medical lab for a required blood test? My 83 year old home bound grandmother who just a heart attack can not even get a referral to a medical lab for follow-up blood tests. The physician assistants raddle off a few names, but don't bother to give you a phone number or written address and you call the front office to ask and their reply is you can go to any lab and if you are not able to find a lab on your own, it is you fault for not taking the follow-up medically necessary tests. Thanks a lot for your non-compassionate, rude, and borderline negligence in not helping your patient follow through with the appropriate medical care after having a life threating medical condition.
