Costco Pharmacy

Great people. Good prices. Some people criticize them for being slow. They are not. They have a lot of orders to fill. They also have a lot of protocols to follow. It isn't a McDonald's where they throw burgers and fries your way. Medication can't be wrong. They can't get it mostly right most the time. It must be 100% correct every time. Imagine the stress of never making a mistake at work? You'd be cautious too.

This team is upbeat and friendly. You can tell they enjoy their jobs! I've opted to get several vaccinations here instead of my pharmacy because they are very professional and always help me relax.

Costco pharmacy has saved us thousands of dollars on our prescriptions. One prescription in particular is quite expensive. Walmart, Rite Aid, Yokes, all charge between $150 and $200 per month for the one alone. At Costco, I pay less than $50 and they do a great job of keeping it in stock. Not once has it been back ordered or out of stock.

Same prescription cost half at Costco, maybe because they offered generic. But the pharmacy I won't name did not even ask if generic was ok. Great service too.

The Costco pharmacy on Sprague is the friendliest, most professional staff. 1000 times better than their pharmacy on N Division

3 stars, giving them benefit of doubt as they seem very busy....but...I used Costco N for 15 years, convenient, ~10 minutes away, always great service...after they moved location to Newport, didn't like the drive much, Valley was same time drive according to Maps, so I switched...first time, fine, though wait in line longer than at North pharmacy....2nd month, called using automated system, went to do my monthly Costco shopping at my "new Costco" 2 days after calling...was told it would be "at least" 45 minutes.(my script was always ready at North Costco when giving them 2 days notice)....then another 15 waiting in line, again....going home, decided to switch back....but the reason for this review is this: I decided to try Shadle Safeway pharm, as it's a couple minutes away vs Costco at new North location being 20--25, had them call Valley Costco to transfer script - they told Safeway person my script had no refills left, though this totally not true...guess they were busy, and since I was leaving them, they didn't want to take time to fill out transfer.....like I said, giving them 3 stars cause maybe they are very busy, but they deserve 2 stars for their service. YMMV

If Stacy is in the window at drop off, ask to talk to someone else. Rude the entire time. The rest of the staff if very friendly. Jessica was awesome, so were the others working there.

Rx prices are good but the staff at the counter are sloth.

Atrocious service and absolute mindless people it seems behind the counter. Gave me the run around for over an hour for a 3 day supply because they messed up an original prescription order. Do yourself a favor and go to Fred Meyer instead.
**4 months later and this pharmacy is still screwing up. Partner had a prescription filled two weeks ago. They just called because they realized they gave too much. Incredibly irresponsible behavior from the mindless employees I mentioned in my last review.
