Columbia River Christian Academy

During the mid to late 1980s, I was a student there. Coming in out of the public school system, the difference was night and day. It took some getting used to, but it turned out that I flourished as a student in their Accelerated Christian Education program, a work at your own pace system, making the honor roll all four quarters most of the time. Honor Roll camp was always fun as well. I am eternally grateful to the anonymous person who paid for my education there, and to the assistants who were there to help as needed. So glad to see that this school is still going strong, making a difference in education with a Biblical view.

CRCA has been serving Christian families in our area for 40 years. Our family has been involved with this school for 36 of those 40 years. Both of our children graduated from CRCA (attending there all 12 years) and two of our grandchildren now attend the school. We are enthusiastically committed to Christ's ministry through this small Christian school. Though run and staffed by flawed people (that's the only kind there is!), we know that the sponsoring church (Columbia River Bible Church) and the school board and staff have a passionate desire for the school to be God's instrument in the lives of all the students God brings there. My husband has taught at the school for over 30 years. Both our children received an excellent education and went on to college and are now serving the Lord and raising their children to love Him too. I have worked in the school setting as a teacher's aid for several decades and have personally seen the sincere, sacrificial commitment and dedication of the staff. Any success or blessing the school has been is because of God's great grace. As for me, I heartily recommend CRCA!

As retired law-enforcement, and a former Sunday School teacher, my number one concern is the welfare of children and the environments in which they live and learn. Children need a loving, accepting, healthy environment, free of stress, in which to study and learn, but most of all they need to know that people care about them as an individual.
While volunteering at Columbia River Christian Academy, for two years, I watched the children, some with special needs, grow and blossom under the loving care of these teachers and staff.
Special care is taken to assure that all staff is schooled in proper procedures while dealing with children and parents.
I loved volunteering here and working with the staff, but most of all I loved seeing the children enjoy learning, playing and growing up knowing that God loves them so very much.
