Island Cafe

True local diner experience. Nothing fancy but really tasty and lots of it. I had the seafood omelet. Served with great hash browns. Good tasting omelet with lots of little shrimp. The fish and chips had three enormous pieces of fish. Everyone liked their clam chowder.

Excellent food, large portions, very tasty. We had the steaks with loaded baked potatoes and clam chowder - it was super delicious. Amazing, courtesy and prompt service. Nice atmosphere.

We sat outside on a gorgeous day. I ordered ham, eggs hash browns and sour dough. My Husband got the French dip with fries. We both enjoyed our meals. We will be back.

We randomly called In a to go order here. It was just a few blocks from where we were staying. The food ended up being amazing. We got a couple breakfast burritos which I would highly recommend. Super good food at super good prices. And the employees were very nice when we came in. You can eat in the restaurant or on their outside little patio. Highly recommend if you’re in Anacortes.

Always good service and food good. Today it was not as hot as it usually is. Egg was less than warm.

OMG I Love this place!!! Had the worst f'ing morning on Friday Harbor when I lost my car keys and this place almost wiped it away.
The Homemade Chowder is fantastic...creamy with tons of classic & flavor. Had the Orchard salad too and it was huge & absolutely delicious 😋 😍 👌
Highly recommend CITY CAFE

The "Impossible" burger was 5-star!!! It was a little more expensive than I wanted, but the food was so very good. This is one of the only diner-type places in Old Town Anacortes, but it is a solid favorite. I went to their first location only a couple blocks away when they first opened over 20 years ago. I'm happy the family who owns it has enjoyed such longtime success! Definitely go there - they have a huge menu and it's so nice to have the choice of a plant-based burger to enjoy.

Breakfast at Island Cafe is always a delight. When we're away from home, we stop in for pancakes, french toast, scrambled eggs, bacon, and sausage. Coffee and orange juice make it extra special!

Food very good. Kids menu had good options. Friendly and wonderful staff. Good service.

Just off the Ferry, Great Breakfast! Sure wish you guys were on Orcas... we need you!

Excellent service, multiple selections, excellent food, generous portions, very clean.

Lobster bisque available Fridays only, pairs with a grilled cheese very nice and the stock of the bisque was creamy and spiced with dill.

The chilli cheese burger was awesome, and a beast of a meal. Recommend the sweet potato fries also, nice waffle cuts.

This is my favorite breakfast spot in Anacortes and I've tried them all. Mostly in regards to value. Perfectly done hash browns. Most other restaurants put too much salt on everything. Sometimes I like having a place to relax and hang out for an hour or two after work and I appreciate that nobody tries to rush me out the door.

We went to the Island Cafe for a small family dinner for 5. We were greated cheerfully and seated right away. After ordering our beverages,which were served immediately, our server took the orders all around from their great diverse menu. She soon returned with platters steaming with generous portions. What a great evening! We'll be going back for sure!

We had breakfast here and it was pretty good. Accommodated all of our requests to modify dishes as needed.

This place is awesome. Best grilled cheese I've had in 3 years. My table mate had biscuits and gravy with hash brown's cooked to perfection. I will be back with more people. Spreading the word about the all day breakfast.
