My cat desperately needed a tooth pulled and I was able to get her right in. Everyone was amazing: from the woman who took my initial panicked phone call to the techs and the doctor. They were all kind and compassionate. Dr. O'Dea was reassuring and funny! (Cautioned me not to let my sleepy kitty drive or operate heavy machinery!😂).
So grateful for them. Highly recommend this clinic!

Dr. Odea and his team took great care of my senior dog. They nursed him back to health in one night and made transporting him up to our day vet in the morning a breeze. I appreciated their communication with me and our regular vet. It made the scary situation a lot less stressful.

I took my dog to Animal Emergency for a life threatening poisoning. She was with them for two nights. I received regular updates and was encouraged to call whenever I wanted to check on her,. Her treatment was thorough and focused on providing a comprehensive plan to support her recovery. Darby and I are deeply grateful!

I have nothing but amazing things to say about this place, we took our fur baby here after having a few seizures from the minute they took that phone call there team was organized, professional yet compassionate. The staff is experienced and it shows in every aspect. They kept me updated and got her into Dr.Strokes for exam she gave me an initial break down and asked me questions to get an understanding and then explained the process and what we might expect. Every business has a goal to make money but at no point did anyone here make me feel like it was about the money they made me feel like my pet was safe and there health was top priority. I would recommend animal emergency clinic everytime.

We have been to another pet emergency place in Spokane I won’t name names, and they were far less compassionate they required a deposit before they even really examined or gave treatment to our one year old puppy who was having a serious condition.

Thank you for everything you guys did for us and our babies

Dr. Ward and the whole staff was so incredibly kind, attentive, prompt and informative. I will be bringing all of my future pets here should there be any future emergencies with them. So grateful good establishments with caring staffs like these still exist.

My small senior pup was very sick (turns out she has pancreatitis) so I took her in right when they opened and they immediately answered the phone right at 6pm and immediately were so considerate and attentive. They ended up having to keep her overnight but made sure that I was completely informed and walked me through every step of her diagnosis.
Dr. Ward also made sure to have one of her staff members call me about estimates, as far as potential costs are concerned, so that I could know what to expect which I appreciate. What I will say as far as cost is concerned, yes it was a bit spendy, however it was well worth every single dollar considering the phenomenal care my girl received and the relief I felt knowing that they would help nurse her back to health.

Dr. Ward and her staff not only looked over my girl the entire night but made sure she was comfortable, as my pup is naturally a nervous one when outside her home Or away from me, so I’m not only grateful that my pup was in great professional medical hands, but caring ones.

Top notch staff that truly care for our animals and all the way around a reassuring and calming experience considering the stressful circumstances that come with our fur babies needing to be taken to any kind of ER, that’s always stressful.

So grateful this emergency place was here as we just moved to the area and this place was recommended by our new vet Spokane Valley Animal Hospital.

Thank you Dr. Ward and staff, Sheerah and I thank you so much for helping, caring and bringing her back to hopefully her normal quirky self with a smooth recovery. Genuinely, thank you.

2 Nights ago my Sasha's condition had turned for the worse. She was really struggling to breathe and hadn't ate in 4 days.. I had figured it was a hairball since she was dry heaving and didn't think it would be as severe as it was. (She was a strong kitty and didn't show it until it was too late) She was diagnosed quickly via x-ray in the middle of the night (12:00AM) with congestive heart failure. She had fluid filling her lungs and chest cavity. Unfortunately Sasha was getting closer to 9 years old and the bad outweighed the good. The AEC staff were nothing but kind and considerate, let me take the bad news and give me time to process. (Didn't go there thinking I was going to lose my best friend.) I made the decision to have her go to heaven at the doctors recommendation, which was the best course of action after she described the very expensive treatment options, that very may not of helped for much longer than a few weeks. AEC was very compassionate and let me say goodbye to my best friend and hold her one last time. I will always refer everyone in the Spokane area to you guys and I appreciate you and everything you did for my baby. -Tyler Flory

From the moment I pulled up all the way until my baby boy was put down, they were kind and compassionate. My son referred me to this place and he went on and on about them. The compassion the woman had of me crying so hard on the phone to the tech that put my baby to sleep, was unreal. Southcare vet can take notes on how a vet place should be ran! I had my baby boy for 18 beautiful loving years. He was truly my baby! The care the tech showed when we were in the back room, was amazing. She kept telling my handsome little old man how sweet he was. My baby was purring. He was calm when being put down. Thank you all so very much for having a kind heart. I wish you guys were a regular vet also!

I went here for the first time about two weeks ago and it was the best experience with an emergency vet I’ve had so far. My dog, Oliver, got into a very toxic amount of chocolate and began showing all the signs of chocolate poisoning so i rushed him to the vet to be safe. I decided to drive the extra time to go here rather than PEC (only bad experiences there in the past). They quickly took him in and they kept him overnight to give him fluids and medication. The doctor was genuine and so was the staff, they truly do care about the animals they meet. They answered any and all questions I had and they were sure to keep me in the loop of his care and provide me with thorough information on what he was going through and how they would help. I got to pick him up the following morning and he was much better. After a few days of a bland diet and being home he is back to himself and I’m so grateful❤

Last night, we had to rush our cat in for emergency euthanasia. He unfortunately passed away before they could give him an injection. The vet tech hurried out to grab us so we could say our goodbyes. Everyone was so compassionate, kind, understanding, and they shed tears with us. They also refunded us part of the (very reasonable as it was ) bill because he wasn't given the injection, which they did not have to do. They made a horrible situation just a little more bearable and I am so grateful. If I ever have another pet emergency, I will come here again in a heartbeat.

I brought my 5 month old lab in for being super sick and lethargic and not keeping food down. I was blown away at the staff and how thoughtful, thorough, and kind they were throughout the stressful time in our life. Emergency surgery ended up needing to happen and they kept us up to date and gave us a complete run down of everything before and after surgery. When I tell you they went above and beyond like our pup was the only animal they had to care for I truly mean it! If you are ever in need of an emergency vet this is the best of the best! Thank you!

I work at a day-time vet clinic. My dog got into some chicken bones and we rushed her there. Not only are they super sweet and personable, they also took really good care of my girl (even though she tried to nip the doctor), and listened when I explained her anxiety. They were wonderful and I appreciate everyone there very much!

In our families time of panic Animal Emergency was patient with us to help figure out what our animal was going through. Called and communicated all the options and prices up front and didn't do anything without consent. If ever the need I know where to go first.

My cat got a urinary blockage very suddenly. I work for a vet, but my little nut just HAD to do this the day our vet went on a trip. I was stressed and an absolute mess. AEC was so patient with both my emotions and my naughty cat (he can be very mean). They stayed in touch with me the whole time and made me feel like he was their only patient. With it being a holiday weekend, I am sure they are crazy busy. But they made my cat’s health a priority. My cat is still hospitalized there now, but I feel so comfortable knowing he is there and in good hands. Of course I hope to not have to come here again since that means he would be sick again, but if I am in need of urgent care for my cat, this is the first place I will go.

Dr. Deaver is fantastic! He is clearly very smart and keeps up to date in his field. He was able to diagnose a back injury in our girl that was presenting as hind leg pain. He called me twice during her visit to update me on exam findings, both positive and negative, and never tried to upsell me on x-rays or other testing. He even came out to our car to show me specifically which vertebrae level was affected and how he knew. The care was efficient and reasonably priced. His support staff was also so kind and compassionate to our nervous girl!

We, unfortunately, had to visit the Animal Emergency Clinic on a Sunday morning after our 2 year old pup was attacked by an off leash dog on our morning walk. We chose AEC over another option because of the way more positive overall reviews.

We called to let them know we were coming as it says to on the website and were instructed to call again once we arrived. We did and provided some basic information about our pup and what had happened over the phone to "check in" and waited maybe 5 minutes for someone to come grab him.

We were really impressed with every person we interacted with and spoke to from the staff on the phone, to the techs that brought him in and out, and of course Dr. Harris who called and did a very thorough job explaining the care options and her thoughts/recommendations - and was EXTREMELY kind. They were also very clear upfront on the cost of both options which was greatly appreciated. The team we dealt with on that day was a bright spot on a really scary situation.

For the cherry on top, we went to our regular vet to have drains removed following his surgery and they said everything looked amazing and we already aware of everything that had happened at the emergency clinic and the medications they had prescribed without us even having to ask for the info to be shared which is a small thing but very helpful to not have to go through it with them as a layman.

While I hope we never have to visit again, we are so grateful for this clinic and happy with the care we received!

Had to put down our dog tonight and the staff was very kind and caring. Afterwards they were happy to help us get memorabilia’s with paw stamps, fur clippings and more. They were very gentle with our sweet boy and it made it much easier leaving him there afterwards knowing he would be in kind and caring hands. Thank you to your staff and doctors for making today a little less painful.

We had to put down our 7 year old german shepherd due to him being in pain. It drastcially turned at night and wanted to put him down without him suffering. I called and spoke with someone they got us in right away. Everyone involved was so nice. The nurse, I don't remember her name, but she was amazing!! She was so polite and made us feel so welcome and didn't push anything. Let us stay there as long as we needed to be with him before and after they put him down.

Took dog in who wasn't feeling good and after testing found his kidneys had failed. They double checked the tests and were very honest with what they found and that it was a surprise to them as well. They were extremely compassionate and went above and beyond for us to say goodbye to our dog in as much of a positive way as possible.

Our poor dog had to spend 2 full days at the clinic, complete with IVs and a blood transfusion. The staff here saved our dog and we cannot thank them enough. We were updated every time something happened and we were always met with kindness and a prompt response when we called to check in. The techs would lay with her and comfort her when they had extra time and the doctor gave us very clear instructions for how to continue care when she got to return home. Thank you for everything!

I had to take my dog here due to an abscess in his neck. All of the staff here are amazing. They are friendly, caring and do a great job at answering questions and concerns. They were also up front about costs and what future treatements he would need. I called several times after taking him in to ask questions if something was normal during recovery and they were great about answering those questions
