Essencia Artisan Bakery

I was in town for work and stopped by Essencia to grab some goodies for a meeting. The bakery smelled amazing, the pastries were incredible, and the service was great. Thank you!

This place is one of my favorite lunch places in Yakima! They have an amazing selection of lunch specials to choose from, as well as some delicious pastries and desserts to go with it. Their fresh baked breads are wonderful as well. It's a must try spot that will not disappoint! 😊

I love this bakery! One of my favorite things to eat is the sweet potato curry soup! It is just so delicious. Their bread is great and their sweet treats are yummy and unique. The chocolate olive oil cake I had was light and moist and as close to perfection as they come. I have never had anything here that I didn't thoroughly enjoy!

I bought some desserts for a friend and an asparagus tart. It was all delicious and I had great service!

The baked goods were delicious and service was great! We tried a bunch of different pastries between the 4 of us(all sharing). It's my favourite bakery in Yakima.

Great find in Yakima, best place to stop for coffee & a snack, or to buy good bread or pastries.

Wonderful service, delicious treats, exceptional quality, and a real, creamy cappuccino (NOT a watered down drive-thru version). I recommend bringing a book and sipping your espresso from a mug. Old world, crusty breads; delicate, flakey pastries; so many treats to take home for later. Such a surprising gem for downtown Yakima!

Excellent pastries! I've only had a few and I will definitely be back again soon! Why? Just the light outer crunch on a delicate flaky croissant was devine, not too mention the rich quality insides! Take your pickiest elite friends here for a treat. Not your corner stop doughnut shop!

Fantastic Bakery!! I'm not a dessert or bread person however I will drive from Puyallup to yakima just to get their olive oil rosemary cake. Such a great atmosphere and the sheer talent is an art.

Great location. It is one of several great eateries on this block. The breads and pastries are exceptional. I was very happy with my iced mocha, it wasn't too sweet and it didn't have too much ice. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable about the bakery menu.

I love the lunch special Especially the sweet potato curry and some of the cold sandwiches. The service is, at times, slow. However it seems to be only when they are short staffed. The almond Kouign Aman is to die for, but so are their breads, and fruit danish, I don't think I've ever had a bad baked sweet from here.

Great service! Limited on wall outlets but great WiFi. The sweet potato soup is vegan and awesome!

They have the best pastries & delicious coffee! The strawberry rhubarb tartine & chocolate croissant are two of my favorites!

Walking in, the display of treats triggers my mouth to water. Approaching the counter I’m greeted by a friendly person eager to satisfy my hunger, sweet tooth and coffee cravings. The food is delicious. The coffee is well crafted. I can not recall a time that I was not satisfied with anything I’ve ordered, if there has ever been a time. In conclusion, I highly recommend taking a visit or if you are a local like myself, stopping in for the weekly craving.

The Bordelaise may be my favorite sandwich bread. It's probably my favorite whole wheat bread. The almond kouign amann is amazing.

Beautiful location in downtown Yakima. I liked that there was a crosswalk right next to the store. The croissants were well done with light crispy outsides and good savory and sweet fillings. I got the ham and cheese one. Also got the chocolate mousse which was well made.

Fantastic croissants. their almond As well as their ham and cheese are some of the best I've had. Very heavy on the butter and yet still light and flaky. A must go if you're in Yakima

Wow! We were hesitant to try this spot after having come one afternoon and seeing empty shelves. Should have realized that meant things were so good that they sold out early. Definitely recommend getting their early to get your pick. Coffees great, love the berry scones, nectarine and strawberry/rhubarb tartine, chocolate croissant, ham and cheese croissant, orange raisin roll, white chocolate cardamom cookie, chocolate chip cookie, and when i first posted this review the kouign amann was a heavenly soft and lightly sweet croissantlike delicacy but they must have changed their recipe and it’s now collapsed looking (compared to what it used to look like) and really thick crunchy outside bordering on burnt (would love for them to go back to that original recipe as it was hands down the favorite thing on the menu). Mushroom breakfast sandwich is good too - bread on it is pretty perfect. We are regulars here now.
