Laurel Hill Furnace Cemetery

Despite the lack of upkeep, why give an old cemetery a rating of three stars. It's still history that exists and can be visited.

This is a historic private cemetery that is in need of upkeep. There is no longer a cemetery association or anyone officially caring for the cemetery.

A few people, including myself have some interest in getting it mowed and kept up. If you visit beware of hi weeds, rattle snakes, copperheads, and Black Bear in the area. The cemetery is sorrounded on 3 sides by State Forest land.

Had to look around a bit to find narrow steep lane to the cemetery. Google maps alert says you've arrived when you're well past the entrance. We would also be interested in helping with upkeep.
