Barb's Pies and Pastries

I've never had a bad pastry or pie from Barbs, but recently I pre ordered a King Cake and it was beyond all expectations! The texture and flavor was elevated! The look of the cake was just gorgeous. Highly recommendm

This place is awesome! They are very welcoming and friendly. They have a great assortment of donuts and other pastries including cinnamon rolls.

We ordered 3 custom pies from here and they were so delicious! They were very accommodating to have our pies ready for pick up on a Tuesday morning. Not only did they taste amazing, but they also looked beautiful. We got a Bumbleberry with a Streusel top, a Lemon Meringue, and a Peach with a Lattice crust. Everyone enjoyed them!

Came in 30 mins before closing. Was able to get a strawberry and cream filled donut (BEST donut I've even eaten) it's not overly sweet like a lot of jelly filled donuts. The strawberries were fresh and cooked down just a little. The cream was perfect. The donuts are light fluffy with just a little chew which is the best. Not too much glaze where it's just a sheet of sugar on top. $2.30 a donut but so worth it!

Hands down the best bakery around. Everything is scratch made and amazing. I try to get the Strawberry Rhubarb Pie when I go, but it's extremely popular and I don't always get lucky. Since they sell out frequently, I highly recommend calling and ordering in advance if there's something you're seeking in particular. Today is Pi (pie) day, March 14, 3.14, so go out and celebrate.

We had an issue with Groupon vouchers but Barb honored them anyway. We ordered danish, GF macaroons, blueberry pie, and chocolate chip cookie. Everything was delicious!

Little shop with amazing treats. Have had their blueberry as well as blackberry crumb pies. So fresh and delicious! Will definitely come back to try more pastry creations.

We are so happy we worked with Barb for a delicious and beautiful cake at a great price! We saved the top tier for our first anniversary, but the cake was so great it will be a challenge to wait until we can have it again! One of the most fun moments that we had during wedding planning was taking our Moms to the cake tasting. Barb had lots of samples for us and we had a great time thinking about how we wanted to design the cake and drawing up plans with Barb. She created the cake of our dreams, and we had lots of compliments from guests how beautiful, but also how tasty the cake was. Barb has also delivered many cakes to our venue at the Bellwether and worked with our wedding coordinator before so setup was a breeze. With out-of-town guests arriving and other last minute details the week before the wedding, it was such a relief that the cake delivery was something we didn’t have to think about. We’re very happy with Barb’s beautiful wedding cake and will definitely be getting our special occasion cakes from her in the future!

Barb makes the best pies! My favorite is caramel Dutch apple pie, and I ordered it with extra caramel. Yummy!!! She has a variety of pies everyday. But the best way to get get the one you want is to call a day or two before you need it.

The pumpkin spice donut is amazing!

They were able to fill a very large donut order for a company event and it was ready sooner than expected, which was awesome. Everyone raved about how delicious the donuts were. It was easy to communicate, my email was answered in about an hour. Very pleased, will be using Barb's pies and pastries again!!

Great pies for any occasion. Reccomend their cream filled chocolate donut any of their pies.

Ferndale has 2 great snack shops, grant's burgers, and Barb's pies!!! This place has maintained fantastic hand-made snacks and pies that are worth the drive if you live outta town like me. Their sugar cookie is one of the best I've ever had, and there are bramble berry items!! oooooowwweeeeee!!!

100000% Recommend Barb's Pies and Pastries! Barb and her staff are absolutely amazing! Her Maple Bars are a WEEKLY family treat for our household -- and what selection they have doesn't stop there! If I could give a higher review than five star I would! Barb's Pies and Pastries is an absolute gem in Whatcom County and part of what makes Ferndale unique. Thank you Barb!

I couldn’t find a key lime pie anywhere! They pulled through with it! I don’t usually go to Ferndale but now I have a reason to. It was my first time there, the staff is wonderful, their food is to die for. The young man working the front while the usual person was out on lunch, is absolutely amazing. I appreciate him so much. Truly such great people and great vibes! I ended up leaving with the pie I ordered, doughnuts and a free high-five from the gentleman! ❤

Barb is pretty much family at this point - she has been making my almost 20 year old son’s birthday cakes since he was 5! She even hired him to help her during the holidays. Her pies are absolutely delicious - if you have not tried the Strawberry Rhubarb or her Bumbleberry pie, you are missing out!

The best donuts from Blaine to Burlington, no exaggeration. They're apple fritters are especially amazing.

Amazing doesn’t begin to describe how delicious this place is. Rhubarb hand pie changed my life.

I’ve had the blackberry pie, key lime pie and a few donuts. Everything has been fabulous! Crust was short and crispy and the filling amazingly flavorful.
