Jon could not have been more helpful in helping me to find affordable choices that meet my needs.The bookcases were delivered exactly on time, and they are beautiful. I will be finishing them, but even unfinished, the quality of the wood and the workmanship is outstanding!

Recently I ordered 3 bookcases from BookcasesPlus. The quality (solid wood and expert craftmanship) truly exceeded my expectations. Jon was extremely helpful in recommending the design and size given the location and intended use of the bookcases. Deeper base cabinets with doors to conceal games, puzzles and arts & crafts items, and open upper shelves to display books and other items that we have been keeping in boxes. He also did a great job in matching the color / stain of existing furniture in the two rooms where I wanted to place the bookcases. The bookcases were completed according to the promised schedule and delivered directly to the rooms all at a fair price. In summary, I am extremely happy with the finished product.

We ordered multiple bookcases and 2 nightstands from Bookcases Plus. We wanted solid wood and this is difficult to find. We were more than satisfied with our purchases. The construction of the pieces is excellent and was completed as quickly as possible. Delivery was also prompt and careful.. Working with Jon was a positive experience. He was efficient and accommodating. He found nightstands that were close to what we wanted and then had changes made to make them exactly what we wanted . He was also adaptable in the timing of the pick-up. We appreciated all of this and will definitely order more furniture from Bookcases Plus.

My husband and I could not be more pleased with our new wall unit from Bookcases Plus. We had been looking for more than a year for just the right piece to put in our remodeled living room but had not found the combination of quality, beauty, and value that we wanted. Our new unit was well worth the time it took to find Jon and Bookcases Plus. We went to the shop and spoke to Jon a few times, and were reassured by both the beauty of the pieces in the store, his knowledge of the furniture, and the many options we had to choose from in “customizing” our unit.. What was particularly beneficial was having him come to our home to measure the intended space for the set, as he was able to offer some great suggestions for the width and style of each of the 3 pieces (a tall, central display cabinet flanked on each side by shorter, more narrow bookcases in a “stepped down” style) that otherwise would not have been incorporated. I knew I wanted it painted an off white color, but was unsure which of the many available whites to select. It was Jon who suggested that we consider painting it the same color of the trim in our living room, and the final result is beautiful. If fits and looks just gorgeous, and the bead board “lining” on the inside back of the shelves complements the decor of the room. Jon and an assistant delivered the unit themselves, and set it up with a great deal of care and attention. Thank you, Jon. We will definitely go back to Paoli Bookcases Plus again!

I was looking for furniture to fit a small space in my home and couldn't find what I needed in store or online. Plus everything said it was made out of wood but when I read the detailed description, it was pressed wood. Finding BookcasesPLUS was just what I needed! Superior than any store bought furniture I could find and the service was excellent. The process requires at least 4 - 6 weeks so you must be patient. But it is worth it! But I didn't even have to wait 6 weeks. My furniture pieces were completed in 4 weeks and delivered promptly. They were even willing to make an adjustment in the design of my furniture. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Like others who reviewed Bookases PLUS, we were having trouble finding someone who would make customized pieces using real wood and not MDF. We were happy to find Jon. Jon was excellent and very patient. Our pieces were extremely customized as we were looking to add something like built-ins with specific functions on either side of our fireplace. We actually did the measuring and explained what we were looking for. Jon took our rough design and figured out how to make things work. While it was a fairly lengthy process due to supply chain issues and the customization we required, we ended up with beautiful, functional pieces that will be enjoyed and useful for years to come. We did do the finishing of the unfinished furniture ourselves using a simple clear shellac that brings out the natural color of the wood and protects it. Doing that saved us a lot of money. That is one of the benefits to using Bookcases PLUS. Thanks Jon!

Very nice solid wood tv stand. Professional finish with distressed black and top/shelves stained to match out floors. You get what is basically an heirloom quality piece that will be around for your great great grandchildren!

The BookcasesPlus store was great! I had been looking all over for a sturdy, all wood bookcase with very specific dimensions . I called and gave the dimensions to Jon and he said no problem. The book case arrived right on schedule and looked exactly like the picture on the web. It was delivered to my house in the the time frame that I was given. (no waiting all day) It looks great & is strong enough for all the kids music books. I will definitely order through them again.

A friend recommended this shop. We ended up ordering some bookcases and a stand for our TV. The bookcases were perfect and look beautiful. The TV stand was laid out exactly to our specific dimensions, but came in with a flaw with the door. We took them home as they were.

In two weeks, they came out and installed a new door. Everything looks perfect and we couldn't be more happy. Very customer service oriented, very knowledgeable, and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend. It is so nice to know you can still get something so well made and in solid wood and able to support a small business at the same time.

It is difficult to find inexpensive custom bookcase makers these days. In 1990 there were three of them within a half hour from my home. No more! Furniture makers and cabinet makers will make fancy display shelves for knick knacks, but try to buy seven basic bookcases and you're out of luck. With help from Google I found Bookcases Plus (100 miles away). I contacted the owner by email and gave him the exact dimensions and construction of the bookcases that I needed. He is very friendly and accommodating. His prices are excellent and for a very small additional charge he delivered the product right to the appropriate room in my house. I have never seen such beautiful pine -- clear, straight, knot free, I don't know where he gets his wood, surely not at the local lumber supply place! The bookcases fit perfectly into their measured locations. Thanks, Jon, you solved a difficult problem for me!

I've purchased 6 bookcases and three other pieces of furniture from BookcasesPlus. I was very pleased with the quality of the furniture. Although I finished some myself, a few pieces were finished by BookcasesPlus and the finish quality was excellent. In addition to many pre-designed styles, John will custom make pieces for you. Highly recommended.

Great quality materials and construction. Jon and the team were fantastic to work with on a custom cubby bench piece. If you prefer solid natural wood materials over MDF BookcasesPLUS is the best shop in the Philly area.

Stopped by here on a whim. The shop just happened to be opened and I was able to look around to the owner’s chagrin. I found the product to be of high quality and the price to be reasonable for what you get; however, I decided not to purchase anything because I thought the owner was quite rude and condescending. At times he seemed as if he was annoyed that I had even visited. And I also didn’t find him very helpful. Better luck in Lancaster?

I want to give no stars but Google won't let me, and if I could I would give it negative stars. So this business charges the earth, gets your order wrong, tries to charge you more to restock the items that he ordered incorrectly, and then has the chutzpah to hold on to your original four figure deposit. To be honest I should have known better, the website looks like it was designed by an eight year old. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else, anywhere really. You will be disappointed and you will be out of pocket.
