Chinnar Indian Cuisine

We have been going to chinnar from past 3-4 years. Everytime our experience only gets better and better. We have held numerous events in the past with 50-60 people and every time guests have nothing but to good things to say about the place and food. Recently we just hosted an event for my daughter’s first birthday. We had about 65 people for this party. Newly renovated Chinnar is more spacious and was able to accommodate 65 people with a dancing area without any issue. The owner was extremely helpful and personally made sure that all the guests are taken care of. All around a great event and a HUGE KUDOS to Chinnar management and staff. I will absolutely host another event here. Thank you for taking care of us and making our event quite memorable.

I came here when I was traveling for work on someone's recommendation. I was doing a very low carb diet at the time and they were incredibly accommodating. They gave me lots of recommendations.

I ended up going with the Lamb Tikka Masala which was delicious. It has a bit of heat, but it was the perfect amount. It is typically served with naan and rice, but because of my diet, I got it without them.

The service was incredibly fast and very friendly. I would definitely go back again!

We celebrated our daughter's​ 1st birthday here... The food was amazing... Everything was made fresh and we didn't need to worry if the food was over or if our guests were taken care of... The waiters kept filling the empty trays with more food...The owners gave personal attention to everything.
All our frnds commented on how nice the food was and tat they have found a new place to visit for nice authentic Indian food...
From start to finish having a party here for 60 people was seamlessly executed with the help of wait staff and the owners.

We hosted a party for 70 people during lunch. Owner greeted us at the door and offered drinks while we waited for the guests to arrive. Accommodating is not enough to describe the attention we received. And the meal was delicious and presentation far exceeded the expectation. A definite must if you are nearby. All the guests loved every item that was served. True Indian food with incredible hospitality. Thank you for making our event so special.

What fantastic caterers! The food was simply incredible. I went to a wedding and the food was delicious. They were working the party they were all but invisible as they bustled through the crowd and kept everything perfectly clean, fresh, and beautiful. There were around 250-300 people & everyone was delighted by the food. I would absolutely hire Chinnar for catering. I loved how responsive and professional they were, but you really can't beat their delicious food.

Great food. First time was great. We then went to other places around and the experiences were not so good. SO we went back to Chinnar! Friendly people family owned. Helpful with menu- spice level to your liking. I had questions about menu. Were helpful. I just remember the numbers I had. Number 4 to start- Anna had the chicken marinated in cream cheese moist and oh my good! I had 73 for my main- First time was SO good I will have again. Gulab Jamun for dessert. Yummy. Sweet if you never had it before. Portions good. Priced well. We will go back and use open table. Thank you for a pleasurable meal to make up for all the bad experiences.

Hidden gem on Swedesford Rd. This is THE best Indian restaurant in the area. We used to go to Taste of India, but the consistency of flavor had diminished. So we tried Chinnar again(under new ownership) and it is excellent! Great service; clean, friendly atmosphere and the food- just plain EXCELLENT! If you like or crave Indian cuisine, you will not be disappointed. This is my go to Indian spot- try the Lamb Tikka Masala(Indian spicy!)

Went here for dinner a few times and LOVED it. Lunch might be a different scene, being that it is mostly buffet business, but everything I tried here was great. It took me years to convince my spouse to even try Indian food, and now she is a big fan as well.

Went to Chinnar last night. Service was excellent and so was the food. Had Two children with us and they were not used to the spices, after mentioning to the staff they quickly brought it to the kitchen and adjusted the spice and it was Great. The kids loved it and we will definitely be back again.

Food here is amazing and authentic! Just like my momma's cooking. You can taste all the different spices and the meats are super tender! Chinnar is our new "go to" place for Indian food. Wish they had delivery.!

I've been to the restaurant a few times and love the food. I ended up getting food catered from them for my wife's baby shower. Everyone loved the food. The samosas, aloo tikki, and honey lotus appetizer are my personal favorites.

We had a traditional event of a half saree function for which Chinnar carried out the catering.
No event is successful without delicious food! And Bingo!! they did a splendid job. All our expectations were met- we had a lot of guests who arrived from India. It can be very hard to tick their boxes of expectations about food but to their amazement they couldn't believe the authenticity of the food which was served.
I shall highly recommend them and I am very pleased to have them as a part of such a memorable event! 😊😊😊
Last but not the least I would like to mention- we had few tasting sessions with Mr Anand Seth prior to our event, who has been extremely wonderful and patient, to satisfy our needs.. The best thing about him he is not money minded and tailors our requirement with utmost passion and dedication. He is an absolute gentleman and very thankful to him and his staff for bringing on such mouthwatering Indian cuisine to our party table.
I shall look forward to working with him in any of my future events I may hold!!👌👌👌

Went to the Restaurant last week with a bunch of friends, has to be the best Indian food I had in a long time. Had malai chicken kebab for appetizer which was amazing. For main course we had Chicken tikka masala, Paneer Makhani, Malai kofta which were made fresh and made just right. The service was awesome the staff is very friendly and willing to accommodate your requests. Overall, a very pleasant experience definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for Indian restaurants in the KOP area.

Best true North Indian Food !

I have eaten at most places in Philly and NJ. This place beats a lot of them down and emerges true in taste for a Noth Indian. You will feel if you are eating at a good New Delhi restaurant. Had a veggie platter, Biriyani, Paneer and Garlic Nan. Everything was brilliant ! The combination of a huge hall with great music complements the eating experience ! MUST GO for Vegetarians !

I went to this restaurant last week for dinner with family, and it was just amazing. They welcomed us nicely and suggested some great appetizers to order. It is a good place to visit with family. Good food, good music and good service. We tried the Chicken Kabab's which were amazingly cooked and also the paneer and malai kofta in the main course were mouth watering. The fresh cooked Naan with the curry were just perfect. We ended our dinner with Gulab Jamun which was again great. I would definitely recommend to stop by at this place. GREAT Food!!

Food prepared by Chinar was excellent.
We had ordered for a special event during the memorial day weekend.
We all relished the food which was verywell prepared. Chef and the staff went out of the way in ensuring safe distancing policy for take outs.

We hired them for my sister's wedding and and they were an absolute pleasure to work with. The food they made was delicious and all of the guests at the wedding were very much impressed with their work. I would definitely recommend them for anyone, as they are kind, professional, and great cooks.

Love eating here and it's my favorite Indian in the area. The food is full of flavor and the service completely pleasant. My favorite dishes are bhindi masala, alu gobhi and chicken tikka. They will calm down the 'heat' if you ask, but I like it spicy. Definitely love this place!

Good ambient. I went there for my friend surprise birthday party. We went as group, nearly 10 families. Everyone likes the food. The food was excellent and fresh. I highly recommend.
