Great, quirky roadside stop. Food is pretty good and priced great. Take some time to walk around the grounds and check out the historic train cars and the dinosaurs.

Very nice place, and has something for everyone.
The variety of food items is very large, and I haven't had bad food here. It is very family oriented. All of the tables are a little different, which it makes it unique.

The food prices are very reasonable. They have deals through the week.

There is normally a short wait, but there are different things to see in and out of the resteraunt.

It is perfect to take a family or hang out with friends.

Cool little roadside attraction with great food. I recommend the fish fry on Fridays so much food for so little money. Great ice cream too!! Lots of old rail road cars to look at too!!

Today was our third family visit and this place definitely delivers on it's promise.

We ate the Haddock fish with fries, sweet fries and union rings.

Fish was excellent and so we're the sides

The service is excellent quick and friendly.

We recommend and highlight this place as one of the best place we eat in the area.

Three times says it all !

Great little place to stop, especially if you have kids. Decently priced. Friendly service. Friendly staff. Place needs some tlc. The mini golf is pretty dumpy but could easily be cleaned up. Maybe it's just early in the season, and it will be fixed up, idk. Its also badly marked and no directions on where to go after getting your putter and ball on where to go so most people walk all the way back up the hill through the parking lot not knowing to go to the left of the ice cream building and between the buildings. The dinosaurs are cool if you have younger kids. They put vr chairs in a weird place, and they are really bad. 1 of the 6 work, and they are really badly located and just bad looking. Overall though younger kids would definitely enjoy it, and it's worth the stop. 5$ a person to enter the dinosaurs and 4$ a person for mini golf. Spent 40$ at the depot, which I didn't think was bad. I had 3 ribs beans and potatoe salad. My wife had brisket applesauce and sweet potato fries. My daughter had chicken nuggets, applesauce, and a cookie. The ribs were dry, but everything else was good. The staff everywhere was friendly. Our waiter was great. Will be trying the pizza next time and or the Angry Goat.

The prices were amazingly low, and the quality of the food was 🔥 I got the grilled chicken sandwich which was seasoned and grilled perfectly and fried mushrooms. There were so many I couldn't even eat them all! My friend got the cheeseburger, pulled pork sandwich, and fries. He said his was delicious too. Our total was around $20 with all food and two drinks!

Great place to eat for your while family. We ate in the pizza parlor train and the pizza was delicious and made super quick in their brick oven. You can order from other trains and they bring your food to you. They also have a nice deck to sit out on, a bunch of different trains to take a look in with different things, ice cream, lazor tag and an area with animals. Overall it was a great evening exploring all their trains and things to do.

We went here for lunch and it was so neat! Never went to a box car restaurant before. This one had a real old school juke box. The food was really good! They also had a gift shop/ museum that was really neat. We had 6 people and they moved a table over for us. The waitress was so nice! Really cool place. Must see!

Best priced food I’ve had in a while. Nice stop off of I-80, cute little place with dinosaurs and train cars to stretch your legs! We got 2 burgers, a chicken sandwich, a hotdog, curly fries, sweet potato fries, a hot fudge sundae, and a raspberry milk shake all for $22!! and the food is surprisingly good! Will definitely stop back on a road trip.

The food we ordered was great. The staff, very friendly. But I have one little issue, they need to have paper menus for the elderly especially for those with bad eye.

Food was good very cheap and fast, it was like eating in a fast food restaurant with some creative touches. I love the pizza car, the pizza is one of the best.

Grandpa's Dream.
This place is prefect if you have little ones that like trains and dinosaurs.
They even have Thomas, miniature golf and 49c hot dogs and many other items you would find at a roadside ice cream bar.

Great place to stop along the highway! The food is great, lots of options, and incredibly inexpensive. There are also very old train cars and a dinosaur museum nearby, so a very entertaining place to stop for a break. Very nice staff, as well.

Fairly accurate dinosaurs mingle with Bigfoot at this former train depot turned mini golf course. Get diner food, road side fast food, ice cream, amazing pizza… and they have a very impressive microbrewery. I can’t believe such a magical place exists!

A local doctor, Jeffrey Rice, has a hobby of collecting FULL SCALE train cars and refurbishing them into mini restaurants, a railroad museum, a place for an overnight stay and more. He calls his growing collection "The Depot at Doolittle's" - an 1880's B&O replica rail depot.

My mom and I enjoyed our unique dining experience in the 50's style Diner Car (a renovated 1950's Pullman Standard passenger car). I had the Soft Shell Crab Po' Boy sandwich and she had the Lobster Bisque. Both were quite tasty.

Morgan, our waitress, shared some history about the car and graciously snapped a few photos of mom and I sitting in our seats.

For a more upscale meal, you might want to eat in the vintage, 1913 Parlor Car. Although we didn't eat in that car, we took a quick walk-through and marveled at the beautiful restoration of this antique marvel.

Two cars that caught my attention were the newly acquired Barnum and Bailey Circus cars sitting up on the hillside. When the circus closed down in early 2017, Dr. Rice jumped at the opportunity to add these cars to his collection. It will be interesting to see what he has in store for them.

Also on the grounds is Doolittle's Roadside Cafe. Judging by the number of people getting ice cream at the walk-up windows, I'd guess it must be pretty good. Unfortunately, I was too full from my meal that I didn't try the ice cream. I guess I'll save that for my next visit to Du Bois!

Family friendly, country kitchen (order and pick up at the counter, clean up after yourself). Nice staff, good ice cream, affordable menu. Great location.
