Well maintained park with clean restrooms and friendly staff. Easy to get to and close to downtown Yakima. River was easy to access from park and very very beautiful. Best place to swim nearby is probably Roza rec area which Is definitely worth the drive!! Altogether this park is great for lowkey camping trips, definitely not a real getaway from civilisation by any means, but still fun!

Fun place, no access to water for children. The playground is older and in day use not the camp ground. Restrooms clean, wait for showers.

We only stopped in to camp for the night. It was an average price for campgrounds but it was huge and beautiful and quieter than I expected with it being so warm. A lot of RV spaces with electric and water, tent spaces, a lot of bbqs and tables to use, and tons of fields and trees and paths to walk. A lot of dogs were here when we were. There were bathrooms too.

For being in such a dry part of the state, this park is very nice. Lots of large grassy fields, the tent sites have plenty of grass, and there's a trail that leads over to the river. And lots of trees to keep you shaded from the sun.

Discovery pass required or buy the day permit. Day use park, paid camping area, and nature trails. Day use park area is large. Multiple parking lots. Multiple shelters for rent or first come first serve. Few water spigots. Bathrooms. Horseshoe pits. Different kid playgrounds. Paved roads. Camping site area is further back and separated from the park. They have electricity, water, tables, and fire rings. Tent areas to large 5th wheel sites. The nature trails cover a large area and weave in and out with one another. They are for on foot or horseback only.

Absolutely beautiful park. Very clean restrooms and lovely camping area. Some fun hikes and a nice view of the Yakima river. Would definitely recommend for camping or even just a picnic.

A very nice state park. We were allowed to check in 90 minutes early which allowed us to drop our trailer sooner and head back out to get lunch. The rangers were very nice.

Beautiful park, didn't even know this was here and have lived in the area 6 years. Will be coming back. Clean restrooms, very quiet when we were there. Tons of trails, trees, water access, bird watching, fishing. A playground. Camping.

Beautiful State Park. Didn’t get to explore much because of a down pour. But it was filled with the sounds of spring which was totally refreshing as was the rain.

This park is a rare find these days. It is a pay to enter park but that keeps things sane. The ranger over the park is top notch and no nonsense. The grounds crews couldn't be more professional or helpful. I am a frequent visitor and often need to charge my phone and laptop, they are more than helpful in allowing me to use 110 outlets to do so. The hiking trails around the lake and ponds are beautifully maintained. 7 stars if I could.

Very nice state park. We just stopped for about an hour to stretch our legs and the puppies too. Looks very well kept. There was a good number of people there enjoying the park as well.

Absolutely fantastic state park and wonderful people who work here! They do a great job despite being near a fairly large city - so obviously there's more trouble due to local "vandals."

Its such a great place to take kids to ride bikes and play on the playground my 4yr old son loves going camping and this is so close to home that the whole family camp and enjoy what the outdoors has to offer and day use is just a discovery pass needed no cost

Wonderful park for everyone. Here one can walk play and ride his or her bikes. This sportsman state park is a nice place for camping and it has all the facilities like a restroom and drinking water. For camping purposes, it's a great choice and if you want to take a shower then you have to pay a quarter for three minutes of the bath. Full of nature beauty.
