May's

After a series of wrong turns looking for food elsewhere, we happened upon May's. We were looking for something fast without eating from a fast food chain. The staff here was incredibly friendly and the restaurant was clean and inviting. We ordered at the counter and waited for the order. I ordered a quarter pounder cheeseburger basket (with fries) and no bun. My daughter got the same but with bun. She complimented the bun as soft and squooshy. I added my own condiments, but I can't say enough about how delicious the burger was. Sooo good. I was upset that we were in a rush because I really wanted to take the time to savor it. The fries were hot and crispy. This is a definite must for lunch if you are in the area.

My husband and I have been coming here since we were in college at BU and now bring our family as well. The staff are so friendly and welcoming. Every experience is always a pleasure. I love that they know our “order” and often say hello to my husband by his name. We love May’s and have nothing but the best things to say about it!

Wife and I went there and ordered food a few days ago. Pizza was super! The young sweet girl named Carly couldn’t be any nicer! I believe her father is likely the shining light that made her into this amazing talented employee!! Great job Mays for hiring this SUPERSTAR!

This place was great. Service was good. Didn't have to wait long for our food. Very family friendly atmosphere. There is a seating area in the back with so many windows facing the woods. Lots of birds and squirrels to look at. Great place for the family to eat and enjoy some time together.

Very cute little place. Family of 3 cost $20 for full meals and drinks. Food was cooked perfect. Staff was kind. Clean place and clean bathroom facilities. And can I just say...BEST FRENCH FRIES IVE HAD IN A WHILEEEEE. only 10 minutes from danville hospital which was perfect for us with our kiddo. Plenty of seating and easy accessibility loved this place!

May's has been an iconic fixture in my life since I was a kid. We stopped for ice cream on our way home from visiting an old high school teacher. It was a sweet end to a nostalgic day. Hot carmel sundae to die for! And it's always fun to drop your trash in the panda head or elephant head garbage cans!

Stopped for the beef bbq sandwich. I found the flavor (as a first time taster) very good. Homemade even. I just thought it was a tad pricey for just the sandwich n maybe I'm out if touch w pricing for that type of sandwich. It was a regular hamburger bun n maybe I expected a better bun for the price? The pork bbq was a disappointment n we won't get it again. Not enough flavor for our taste or just blah boring. We will stop again n try something else. Place was clean n EE's were very friendly n wanted to please.

Fast friendly service and yummy food. What more could you want? Loved the ice cream and relaxed diner feel.

We love getting the fish sandwiches. Always delicious!

They have great ice cream and other desserts. I had a burger and fries and it was tasty. Low prices also. Good location, but be careful. Many accidents in front of their building. Nice view of the woods, if you sit in the back. Handicap restrooms

On Friday June 21st the service was terrible. The employees couldn't remember the order and took so long to ring it up. They need to get people in their with better personalities. It has gone downhill since my last review!

Great old atmosphere and great service. Get their burgers, you won't be disappointed.

Been coming here for 40 years! The only thing that has changed is the scenery for the wildlife and the jukeboxes on every table.

It was really nice in there since it was redid. The only thing I was hoping to see the feeders and stuff they had out back always enjoyed them when eating there

GREAT GRILLED CHEESES, I LOVE THEIR CRINKLE CUT FRIES & THEIR YUMMY ICE CREAM DESSERTS!! THOUGH IT SEEMS TO TAKE QUITE A WHILE, TO RECEIVE YOUR ORDER, SO, MAKE SURE YOU'RE NOT IN ANY HURRY, WHEN YOU VISIT HERE! TOTALLY WORTH THE 30 MINUTE WAIT, FOR MY FOOD & DRINK.

Basic north east / north central pa food. We usually go here to enjoy a hot dog and ice cream or milkshake.

There are no printed menus. June 29, 2021 - The menu I saw was an overhead menu, up on the wall above a door way. If you have a visual impairment or are taking someone with trouble seeing; plan to take a look at the menu online before going to save yourself a little bit of trouble.

The food was delicious. The employees were kind and helpful. We always enjoy our visits here.

My first visit on 1/5/2022 and I liked them. Ordered the pork BBQ with fries. The fries were crinkle cut, crisp and fresh. The pork had good flavor.

Very good cheeseburger cooked perfectly. Really good french fries and they had the hot cheddar to dip them in. They are a little skimpy with the fries when you order a basket meal, but if you order cheese fries separately you get a fair sized amount of them. Their ice cream is very good too. Best of all, there are no waitresses. You get your own condiments and toppings and napkins and such. So you don't have to leave a tip to eat there, which is awesome!
