The Hitching Post (DuBois, PA)

It was super quiet while we were there, but you can tell this place can get exciting! The burgers were great, I really enjoyed mine with the hot dog sauce on my burger with an egg! Super unique! We’ll definitely stop again when we are in the area.

This was our first time here. We were so happy with the waitress. She was prompt, very respectful of making sure we knew what we were ordering. Very courteous. The atmosphere was very country. If ya wanted to play some pool, there's enough tables to go around. The flat wings were done way better than the ones we get around our hometown. They were crispy, with no shimmy skin. The flavor of the butter and garlic was mouth watering. The other flavor we tried was the,I wanna say, sweet and spicy. It had just the right amount of heat. Not over bearing but enough to eat all dozen. We will definitely be stopping again on our way through. She was even nice enough to let us know that there were 2 dozen left because we wanted some to bring back home. That was great service!

We were there about 6 pm and it was pretty empty. We did sit for a while before acknowledgement. The waiter was good, little slow but he may have been the only one not sure. We got the pub fries which I don't see on their online menu but it has been a month or two since we were there! I got the Italian chicken sandwich it was great! My husband got a burger, I can't remember what kind but he said he really liked it! In my opinion it is a nice pub with a separate dining area! Best of both worlds! I will be going back!

Fantastic wings! Sweet & spicy sauce was finger-licking good. Also got fish dinner which was large and amazing. Will definitely be going back

My sister and I ended up here exactly one week ago - just passing through. Food was good. The young bartender/server was very patient and nice with the two ladies behind us who were obviously in a rush. Good job!

Friends recommended since we are from out of the area. Very happy with the food and service.

We picked up wings to take home. They were not ready when we got there but we may have gotten there too quick. The prices went up due to the war on fuel by Biden.

Decent beer selection. Haven't tried the food. 4 pool tables and other bar games. Occasional live music. I enjoyed the visit.

Went for the Monday night wing night. Had an order of wings in front of me within 5 minutes of ordering and they were absolutely excellent!

I had the ribs they were great. Our waitress was wonderful. Waitress took very good care of us! I would go back again as a matter of fact I will!

Nice spot. Came in for a beer and some food. Went back to the hotel full and happy!

Wings are spectacular! We had an awesome waitress who could double as a lead bartender whose super willing to learn. Though we had issues with a card being charged 3 times for the same meal, the management worked with us to make sure we got our money back. Great atmosphere, awesome drinks, even better prices and they are family friendly as well!! If I could give a 6 star I would.

Ate there last year on way to Johnstown's Thunder in the Valley, this year stopped on way and way back and it never disappoints ...

It's been years since I was back in Dubois to go there. We (about 20+ of us)had yummy wings & drinks, & played pool

A staple in the community! There is nothing about The Hitching Post that I don't love. The wings are crispy and delicious every single time. The Sundowner is a burger to outdo all other burgers.. This place is the real deal.

Great food and excellent service.
The place also have about 3 pool tables.
We really enjoyed our time there.

Good food, good service, cold beer. What more could you need?
