Halifax Inn

We came to the area for a local function and booked a one night stay. The location was perfect and within several minutes to the places we went to visit. The room was clean and spacious for the two of us. The king bed was comfy as well. Check in and out was simple and communication on check in/out was great. My only suggestion would be to add room darkening blinds on the windows since the outside door lights (for security purposes) are extremely bright and keep the room too bright for sleeping. Overall we would definitely stay again when in the area.

Had an excellent experience staying here. Room was clean and tidy. Bed was super comfortable, much better than standard hotel rooms. Only improvement that could be made was the blinds for the window of the room we stayed in didn’t offer much privacy.

The room was newly remodeled and obviously kept and decorated with a lot of TLC. I was in the area to officiate my uncle’s wedding so I decided to stay the night before the wedding and booked a room at the Halifax Inn. Not only was it clean and well kept, Donielle was wonderful. She even allowed me to borrow a Bible, which I returned shortly after lol. Would definitely recommend, or stay again for a quiet getaway.

Nice clean room with all the amenities that I needed. My only complaint would be that the walls between rooms are pretty thin. I could hear everything the couple next to me were doing ;-).

Personal note: I grew up in Halifax, PA. It was nice to have a place to stay during my visit to attend my 40th high school reunion.

Our stay here was amazing. It's newly remodeled rooms for very reasonable prices. The staff are great, Donielle the manager will help you with all your needs while you stay at the Inn. We met Penny the housekeeper and she seemed nice. The owner of this establishment is a wonderful, understanding man. We will be staying at the Inn every time we visit with family.

Love this little hidden nest, the place was clean and cozy. I didn't have to speak with anyone as the give you your own code to the room. I'm from the city so that fresh air was very welcoming. I really have nothing bad to say about the place, the only thing was the coffee was missing sugar but they made up with blueberry muffins. I will definitely book here again. Thanks for the stay

Great place to stay. Cute room was was very clean. Contactless checkin was great, we could go straight to the room. Plenty of information about the room was provided and how to get in contact with the office if needed.

While visiting family in the area I looked online for a place to spend just one night; there are not many options, and Halifax Inn looked good so I booked it. We were not disappointed! The room was clean, the bed comfortable, there was a refrigerator and a tv and even an essential oil diffuser (a nice touch but may I suggest a lavender oil? Lavender aids in good sleep!)

A wonderful spot to stay. Tony was extremely accommodating and kind. He went above-and-beyond to make our stay as seamless as possible. The rooms are cozy, clean and well-equipped. We would most definitely stay again if we’re ever out that way. Highly recommend!!

Loved this place ! There was an absence of many people which is exactly what I was looking for on this vacation. The staff sent me a text by 10 am with detailed instructions to get to my room and how to unlock the door. As soon as we stepped out of the car we were greeted and the woman was sweet enough to help us to our room. The room was a great size, with water already in the fridge. The room felt very clean and the bed was extremely comfortable.

The room - a queen deluxe - was very spacious. The beds were comfy. Room was clean. Shower was hot. Everything we needed. Great value.

I had a great experience at this motel. I was in town for a conference, so I didn't spend much time in the room, but it was clean, the bed was comfortable, and there was a coffee maker in the room which my sleepy self appreciated.

Tony's service was top notch - we checked in after the conference ended for the day and he will willing to work with the bureaucratic red tape of traveling for business that my company requires.

All in all, this is not a luxury hotel, but I didn't need it to be. Its a great place to sleep if you're in the Halifax area. Only note: it is close to the train tracks, so if that sort of noise will bother you, bring ear plugs.

This review is long overdue since we stayed in June 2021. My kids and I (9 and 15) stayed for 2 nights while celebrating a family member’s anniversary. We arrived at dusk and were shown our room. It was clean and kids were happy. It served us well for some area exploration and for getting ready for family events.
The first night, we ordered take out from a local restaurant and when I returned to the room, I discovered there were no utensils. The owner brought us her own clean silverware and suggested that we could leave them when we checked out.
It was a pleasant experience; nice people, clean room, great value for the price.

Never got room code by text.

Updated modern room! Clean! Friendly staff. No issues checking in and staff very accommodating! Would recommend and stay here again!

3rd time here JUST 3 miles from job in Millersburg- exactly as pictured- fridge micro shower cutesie shampoo conditioner etc samples 32” TV wall mounted which I never used- bed is comfy new memory foam or similar
Dual shower heads in my double bed room shower stall - adjustable pressure but not concern I wasn’t washing my hair ( long ) everything is new the bedside lamp has USB charging -very nice - every room has a keurig machine and they leave reg creamers I prefer flavored vanilla no biggie also they go above by leaving two waters in the fridge and a large Otis spunkmeyer muffin!!! It’s a dream for me bring so close to the job. Not much downside but being close to road I can hear cars go by but I bring my sound machine for sleep and it’s not unbearable or disruptive! The heat is baseboard and doesn’t get much past 74 that I can tell! Haven’t needed the AC. I love this place. Last weekend I stayed in a double occupancy with two double beds and they had the mini split heat system which you had to take remote and point directly at it- which worked fine!! Same beautiful decor and simplicity & sparkling clean with fridge micro and shower!! I love this place!!

Being a local here to Halifax Inn I have seen Amazing changes done to this place since it has changed hands, From exterior upgrades to interior remodeling Halifax Inn has become an awesome, peaceful, and friendly atmosphere place with great service. Thank you Halifax Inn, for providing good rooms for families and friends visiting the community.

I travel for work and as such I average 4 nights a week, 45 weeks a year in hotels. Usually I stick to Hilton brands and IHG (Holiday Inn) brands but now and then I end up somewhere that doesn't have one close by. That was the case that led to my stay at the Halifax Inn. I believe I got the smallest room on the property (room 3) but it was clean, comfortable and the price was fair. As others have mentioned, the walls are a bit thin and I could hear the neighbors some but it wasn't bad. By 10pm everyone was quiet and any other noise was muted by the sound of the fan on the A/C unit. Check-in was a breeze and my door code was sent via text message. I just booked online, showed up, entered the door code and that was it. I left the next morning, sent a text asking for an email receipt and they quickly sent it. Overall it was was a pleasant stay and the next time I'm in the area I'll likely stay again (although I may book a slightly bigger room).

The room was nicer then expected. The beds and pillows were cozy, plus having a place to hang things and a chair to sit on was a nice addition. The counter had alot of room for " makeup/ hair" items and snacks! The shower was hot and the towels were soft. TV was plenty big.
All of that well worth the price! We will be back, now we know where to stay when we visit my moms family in Millersbug.
