First, this store looks adorable. I was in Hanalei twice in the past two weeks but neither time was it open. I had seen a framed print in the window and wanted to purchase it. The sad thing was that both days there were two people in the store, BEHIND the register, and they completely ignored me at the door. I just wanted to see if there was a way I could purchase later over the phone or online and to get the price and name of the item so I could ask for it. I wasn't going to ask to be let in or anything. They seemed to see me and ignore me. Their dog did come to see me through the door but not them. How disappointing and as a business owner myself I must say what poor business sense. You've been closed because of covid and the landslide and I am sure things have been tight. Are you really going to be so stringent to follow posted hours when you have two people in the store and you could at least answer my question?. I did look online for the item and actually purchased a few things but couldn't find the one I was looking for. Disappointing and poor business.

Walked into the store and a cute sweatshirt caught my eye however, my experience was ruined when I didn't get greeted or acknowledged
by the worker. However, the white woman behind me did. Would not recommend shopping here if you're a person of color, save your money and spend it where you are appreciated as a customer.

I'm a local here on the island and was never acknowledge from the moment I walked through the door and left the store. I work retail and know that each customer that walks through the door should be greeted, even with a customer you are still obligated to greet the customer so they know who to ask for help. It's pretty sad to experience such an awful place in a beautiful town. I know I'm only one person but the fact that I was "local" probably meant to them that I was not going to buy anything. Even with all the crappy treatment for the entire 20 minutes
I was in the store, I still bought something.
