Me and my wife did this tour on labor day and it was fantastic! We love history so this was right up our alley. The boat ride is nice as well. We cruised around the bay area and she told the history of everything around us for around 90 minutes! Lots of details about the war of 1812 and all the vessels used around there for that. Then even the history of the Eriez Native Americans in the area before the French settled. Then there was also local history of landmarks and light houses. I highly recommend this boat tour, it is worth what they charge! We even got to see a mock pirate ship battle with water guns that is another boat tour, so cool.

I can not recommend this tour enough. Great value for your money. Sunset on the lake was stunning. Great staff as well!

Enjoyable sunset ride on lake Erie. The smoke from the Canada fires obscured the setting sun but we had a good time regardless. Amy was a competent and knowledgeable host and captain Ed helmed the boat flawlessly.

I went on a city tour during the afternoon time on their Lady Kate. I had a good time and the weather was perfect with cool breeze. The tour guide was great and provided a nice detail about different places and things in the area. The boat was clean and the ticket wasn't too expensive for a 90min ride. I wish they had provided atleast water bottles either within the boat or near the bay for free or for purchase. The staff were super friendly and lovely people so I will definitely recommend their service to all. They also have a sunset cruise which I believe would be lovely to go as couples.

Enjoyed a sunset cruise on Lake Erie this past Saturday, and found the whole experience to be very positive. As others have noted, the cost per person was very reasonable. Our particular cruise was completely sold out, so advanced reservations are recommended for the weekends. Parking at the site was good, but can be a slight challenge when times for cruises overlap by a few minutes - the lot was crowded when we got there as the sightseeing cruise had just returned, but 20 minutes later there was plenty of parking. If you book online, don't forget to check in at the small building by the pier to pick up your physical ticket to board - just let them know your last name and they verify party size and hand you your tickets - less than 30 seconds. I recommend sitting in the bow of the boat - 360-degree views and also less engine exhaust when underway; it did seem like the port side (left when facing the bow/front of the boat) was a better choice given the view once you get out to the stationary part of the cruise to watch the sunset. Mosquitos are not a problem when you leave port, but entirely different story as you return after sunset - the captain and deckhand warn you about this, and they aren't kidding. Highly recommend bug spray or lotion and applying it as you come back in the jetty before docking. Restrooms are nearby in the park (200' from the pier) and the Perry Monument is a nice walk while you wait. Very enjoyable experience and would recommend to anyone. Motion sickness didn't appear to be an issue on our particular cruise, but that will vary with weather. I recommend being hydrated and maybe even a bit of Dramamine before-hand if you are tend to motion sickness - once you get out there, it's too late as the medicine won't kick in fast enough to help usually. The boat seats ~65 people and is flat-bottomed, so it does rock a bit in the chop/swells on the lake, but again our experience was pretty calm with very little movement.

We enjoyed the Friday night sunset tour. This is not our first time taking the Lady Kate. It was a calm and beautiful ride. My only suggestion is to turn the boat to the other side so everyone can take pictures from their own side. So, if you go on the sunset tour sit on the left side of looking at the boat from the back. They do allow you to move about the boat freely when it is stationary. Will definitely go again in the future.

Was a great experience. Seen a lot on the boat. The channel, lighthouses, monument and other boats.

OMGeee!! We LOVED IT!! My husband and I visited here for our anniversary and it did not disappoint!! We took the Sunset tour and it was fabulous! A guided tour pass the lighthouses in the area with a historical narration as the sun sets. Great pics as well! We will be back. $16 per person is well worth the 90 minute ride.

So we were visiting my sister in Erie and had just happened to find out about this place in a Erie guide.

We reserved tickets online and running later then anticipated they called us to make sure we were still coming (we were in the park).

The staff was so nice and we had so much fun and it was very resonably priced. I would definitely do it again.

A truly fun experience. The narrator talks about the area’s maritime history along with Presque Isle State Park history. Several local landmarks are also talked about during the trip. Very relaxing and peaceful!!

The staff were all great the price wasn't bad for the tour and the view was absolutely gorgeous. Just wish we knew before hand to have blankets or a sweatshirt cause it was a bit chilly once you got out on the lake

Great ride. The guide was knowledgeable. The price is $16 for an adult and it's well worth it. They take you pass Gull Point atleast the tour I was on which is the very tip of Presque Isle.
Make sure you tip your guide. All and all well worth the money to go!

Climb aboard the Lady Kate for an adventurous outing, if you dare! Great granddaughter Kate is a tour guide and helps the Captain navigate through Misery Bay and the Lake Erie Quadrangle! This is not a tour for the weak at heart! Great trip!

Always a wonderful tour! Nice and relaxing and you get to learn a little history! Friendly staff. We were able to invite family from out of town and book my mom's memorial on the boat. It turned out to be a beautiful day and a perfect tribute to her on the lake she loved with all her heart! It was a special experience and fond memories to cherish always.
