The Historic Texas Lunch

Was very impressed how the sausage and gravy tasted. Definitely taste like they made their own. The potatoes could have been better. The waitress was friendly and didn’t bother me by coming by the table every two minutes ya know!! The restaurant is very clean and organized so I recommend stopping by for a meal to find out for yourself.

Welll- it's famous cuz it's been around for a long time. Our food was really good. Down home di wr food- and that's what I wanted.
Our server was perfectly attentive- didn't interrupt us, gave us time, and so forth. I look forward ti going back.

The place is awesome. I love the atmosphere. To me the old diner style is always appealing. The waitress was very kind, sweet, and also fast with taking our order and getting our food to us. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a good place to eat.

Such a pleasure finding this place today passing thru. No wonder it’s stood the test of time. I’m not sure what there doing to the fried potatoes but there better than what your used to I assure you.

My family and I always enjoy going to Texas lunch. We love the service and the staff, the food is good including well priced. If you go often enough like we do the waitresses will start to remember you and your kids! I stopped in about a week ago to pick up some food from lunch and the waitress asked me how my kids were doing. I was pleasantly surprised by this! I would highly recommend this establishment for anyone!

Food and waitresses are excellent. Everything is priced very well. Highly recommend for a low-key atmosphere, lunch setting.

I just move back to Chambersburg From Arizona I couldn't wait to have a big breakfast . Tommy's Florentine Spanish tomato feta cheese and one pancake four sausage links oh so good .

I was one of a party of 9 adults, plus one child. I hate to admit that the last time we were there was nearly 30 years ago. It has always been a nice place to eat. We had 8 different meals, from taco salad to clubs, Reuben, Rachel, steak sub, big boy, hot roast beef sandwich, fries, chili, and soup...won't be 30 years till we get back.

YUMMY! Fish sandwich is the BOMB! So is like everything else I've had here! Parking is a little sketchy feeling but otherwise an awesome place...cheap and great food, huuuuge menu!

The food was amazing and the service extraordinary. The meals were out in less than 10 mins. We were out of town and we dined 2 times. Love this place and will definitely go back.

This is probably our favorite route place for breakfast in Chambersburg. The food is always good, the staff is always friendly and there is a good chance of seeing folks I know.

Excellent food, good music nice and low, and good service. I would definitely recommend them, and come back again.
