Awesome little spot in Arco. The man who runs the building is very knowledgeable.

Small one room museum packed with items. The guy who gave us the tour was extremely passionate and knowledgeable being as he was a nuclear engineer for the Navy. So glad we happened by while he was here and we have our vaccinations. Fascinating if you have the chance to see it.

We got a tour by Harvey, a retired Navy nuclear Navy Submariner. He was a great guy to listen to. So much detail, had I not watched Hunt for the Red October so many times, it would have sounded Greek. Highly recommend anyone passing by stop in for a briefing.

He was also a past member of the Search & Rescue for the county. He warned us that Craters of the Moon national Park has voids up to 2,000 feet deep with a thin crust over the hole. STAY ON THE PATH!

If you like nuclear history this is the place. There are two volunteer retirees that run this place. I met the one from Pennsylvania. He was amazing. Full of knowledge and great stories. Ask about the US Russia submarine cat and mouse games 😉

Great little museum with lots of artifacts and memorabilia from atomic submarines and reactor history. Our docent was fun to talk to and was extremely knowledgeable about the topics coming from his decades of experience working with these subs and reactors.

There is some good info in their open air pavilion. I look forward to when they can have the interpretive center open.

The museum was closed, not in season, but the signage was informative. Stop in between memorial day and labor day.
