Maple Shade Mansion

Where do I even begin? I keep saying I need to do better at leaving reviews, and our stay this past weekend has reminded me to do just that!

We were attending a baby shower hosted at Maple Shade Mansion, and decided to stay there for our visit. Best decision ever. I am a hotel/B&B/accommodation fanatic. We are always traveling, and our stays are always my job to book. This is by far one of the best B&Bs I have ever had the privilege of staying at. No detail is overlooked, and the service from Karl and Sharon was unmatched. They completely take pride in the Inn and their service of it, and it is very well felt.

From our late arrival landing in Pittsburgh, we were greeted with the most amazing welcome. From the evening reception - to the most amazing, multi-course breakfast, it was all superb.

My friend and I had booked the Squire Suite. She stayed in the Hugh, and I in the Anna. I wish I could have packed up the bathroom to bring home. That tub was PERFECT! The bed and linens so comfy! And I was obsessed with all of their variety of glassware, plates and other serving dishes.

For the shower, we were treated to a spectacular 5 course meal, with no detail overlooked. If you are looking at Maple Shade Mansion for an event - you are in great hands!

One morning breakfast consisted of a parfait, followed by an amazing egg soufflé. The next morning we had berries, followed by delicious strawberry waffles.

I could go on and on, but will leave it at - WOW! When I got home, I told my husband I am working on an excuse to get back to Brockway again sometime soon! This truly was every spectacular experience I've ever had at many B&Bs all combined under one roof.

Thank you for a wonderful visit! We will see you again soon! Hopefully in the warmer months to fully enjoy the grounds, porches and flowers!

First, this building is amazing. Second, the folks who saved this piece of history are good ones. Interestingly enough, during a whiteout blizzard, I found myself on the side porch admiring the attention to detail that went into all of the exterior renovation. It's truly impressive. Bravo.

Without hesitation, during the middle of a storm, they helped me and my new friend out.

If you are traveling through the tri-county area, without a doubt, I'm sure that you will enjoy your time here.

We had a wonderful time here…gorgeous and very comfortable rooms! And everything was above and beyond, from the little touches inside the room, coffee/tea/treat stations, and the wonderful breakfast served on different beautiful china every morning! Our hosts were so friendly and you can tell they love what they do, so rare to see anymore but it made us feel very welcome and relaxed. Highly recommend the squire suite if you want a little extra room and like having 2 bathrooms like my husband and I did 😄

Excellent stay! Easy booking, checking in and communication. Carl was super helpful with everything from check in to breakfast the next day. It's the little things that make Maple Shade worth the stay. One example: the sheets are cleaned in fragrance-free detergent. So appreciated for those with allergies or just sensitive noses. The room was immaculately clean. So relaxing! Breakfast was awesome, as well. Thanks, Maple Shade, we'll be back!

Lovely luncheon with great friends, food and waiter, Carl.. would go more often if possible. he Mansion was wonderfully restored to period.

If I could give this B&B a million stars, I would.
This historic house is immaculately tended, and absolutely pristine. The staff are incredibly helpful, professional and kind.

Room: 10/10
Food: 10/10
Vibe: 20/10

Not to mention, the rates are super reasonable considering the amenities. Did I mention the heated bathroom floors, and complimentary chocolates? The stained glass windows? The woodworking? Top notch. All of it.

If I had to say anything even remotely negative, it would be that we were right next to another room, and the doors are not exactly soundproof. I'll leave it at that. You can choose your rooms though, so maybe ask when you book if that's important to you.

If you want to impress your significant other, book a room here and make a trip to Brockway through the magnificent Pennsylvania countryside. You won't be disappointed.

Maple Shade Mansion was absolutely lovely. The stained glass windows were so beautiful and the garden was relaxing. Loved all the blooms around the house as well. The room I was in (The Keys Room) was spacious, every detail was well thought out, and Karl was welcoming. Breakfast was also delicious, including strawberry "soup".

An absolutely spectacular venue. Everything about this place was first class, from staff, to the food and of course the rooms. This is a great place to stay and I bet it is a great place to hold an offsite corporate planning or team building meeting. Additionally, it is a great value for the price, you will not be disappointed.

Brockway is a beautiful small town to visit. We had a lovely stay at the Maple Shade Mansion. I have Celiac & it can be very limiting for me when eating out, but Carl was wonderful. It is a must stay if you need a room in the area. They really pay attention to all the details that make you comfortable. Thank you. We will definitely be back.

Perfect in every way! It was our first time staying at the Maple Shade Mansion located on the charming main street of small town Brockway, PA. Our first reaction was its breathtaking beauty.. the gardens, courtyard, wrap around porch and overall restoration of this historic home. Greeted with warmth and friendliness we were helped with luggage to the third floor where views were amazing and as you ascend you can't help but be in awe of the beautifully appointed decor in every room and refinished woodwork in the banisters and floors. Breakfast every morning and afternoon snack was five star! Hospitality at every turn, we enjoyed our stay completely and will return. Thank you for making us feel so welcome and sharing your knowledge of the area. Brockway is an American iconic small town walkable, safe, with an amazing public park. Next time I will bring my bicycle and ride the Rails to Trails!

We were not prepared for how exquisitely this historic property was brought back to its former glory! Every detail of the mansion was restored to provide a wonderful bed and breakfast experience. The innkeepers were more than gracious and provided everything we needed to make for a perfect stay. Each of the rooms in the mansion make a statement that can only really be appreciated in person. We will definitely stay here again if we are visiting the area!

Wow! What an exquisite stay in beautiful western PA town. Every detail has been well thought out at Maple Shade Mansion. While I’ve stayed in many B&B’s over the years, this one truly feels as comfortable as home. I highly recommend you add this destination. Well appointed rooms and common spaces with vibrant blend of charm and modern amenities. PS. The bathrooms are so amazing!!! Spa like experience. Do yourself a favor and stay here!!! The hosts are most inviting and this place has really redesigned the B&B experience.

My fiancé and I stayed for two nights at the Maple Shade Mansion in Brockway. Hands down the most beautiful B&B we’ve stayed at. The value is incredible, and we have loved spending this freezing cold, snowy weekend in comfort. Both Sharon and Karl make this experience so special. We really felt secure and welcome. Pay attention to all the intricate design details, and the amazing original incorporations. It truly is the most perfect pairing of old and new, all in Victorian style. It is such a beautiful restoration, the best I have ever seen - no expense or detail has been spared! I give it 5 stars on cleanliness - we are very fussy on this, and believe me, it is spotless! Towels smelt fresh and clean, along with the sheets. The photos online do not do it justice, so I have added in some of my own, that will hopefully help others. We stayed here based off reviews, and are so glad we did. We usually stay in DuBois, as we have an office in Brookville, but this time we decided to take a weekend out of the hotel, and we will most definitely be back! Thank you again Sharon, you have re-energized this place.

If I could this place 10 stars, it would be worthy! It is stunning from top to bottom, and everyone is very welcoming! We had a minor issue with the room being just a little too warm and the owner was on it immediately. The breakfast was delicious as well! 100% would highly recommend!

What a wonderful experience it was to stay at the Maple Shade Mansion! The only thing more special than the beautiful aesthetic, comfortable accommodations, and delicious breakfast was the extraordinary service. We can't wait for our next stay!

The Mansion is Breathtaking!! The craftsmanship is Exquisite and the amount of planning and work put into the renovation was one of a kind..I Love staying there, and look forward to my next visit.

Beautifully appointed rooms with ensuite baths. The grounds are perfectly landscaped and manicured. Great spot for a quiet weekend getaway. Also a great venue for social gatherings like a small wedding or family reunion.

Had a very nice stay here, admiring the handsome restoration job and enjoying the amenities. Karl was exceptionally attentive and welcoming, and the breakfast was memorable. An unexpected treat in an otherwise out-of-the-way corner of western PA.

The Maple Shade Mansion is really spectacular. The mansion and grounds are exquisitely beautiful. The attention to detail is complete. Carl and Sharon are delightful. Professional, knowledgeable, and best of all, kind.
