The Gold Mine Hotel

Staff was always super friendly throughout our entire stay. The cabins were so clean, welcoming & decorated so cute. Close enough to walk wherever you need in town. Will definitely be back!

Can't recommend this place enough! Looks a bit like a hole in the wall kind of place, but don't judge on initial appearances! The mini cabins are great in regards to more privacy and space. But the best part is that you you are feet away from the Saloon & Grill. We went on a Friday night and enjoyed the live music, which turned into an outdoor jam session around the campfire. Had such a great time chatting with both locals/regulars and other guests. Lots of places have great amenities, but this place has character in addition to comfortable beds, clean rooms, good water pressure, etc. Cannot recommend enough.

First time at the Gold Mine. Stayed in one of the cabins (#8) right next the the bar & grill. Can't recommend this highly enough. The cabin was clean, quiet, and very comfortable. The bar and grill was terrific. Great burgers and the breakfast sandwich was excellent. Enjoyed live music and the after hours jam session was a highlight that I won't forget. The staff and owner were amazing. Just an overall awesome experience. Only a 45 minute drive from Boise but miles away in just the right way. Thank you Gold Mine!

The mini cabins are beautiful, comfortable and just all around perfect! The live music on the patio is awesome and the food is always delicious. Staff is very friendly and personable. Best restaurant/food/environment in town!

Great location in center of town. Rooms and cabins all have character and themes. Well thought out and super cool. Beds seem pretty new and very comfy. Little refrigerator a great touch and sitting areas. Prefer the hotel rooms to the cabins, just because of hot water. Ran out of hot water in cabin just halfway thru shower. Hotel room didn't have that issue. Floor in cabin was gritty...probably sweeped and not vacuumed. But, otherwise all were very clean. Bring your own toiletries if you are at all picky and hair dryer (some have hair dryer, some not...or I didn't find it). Toiletries basic.

This was by far one of the nicest and more importantly, CLEANEST hotel rooms we've ever stayed in!! We stayed in the Sacagawea room and our friends stayed in the Creepy room. Our room was huge and had a super comfy king size bed, a good size mini fridge, Keurig coffee maker and a large flat screen TV that came with Disney+ among other streaming services. We got into town really late and were still able to grab a bite to eat at their bar and restaurant and the service there was great. I highly recommend this hotel and we will definitely be staying again!!

We had a great stay at the gold mine cabins! We rented a couple of them on a snowmobile trip up to Idaho city. It was great to come in after a long day, hang up the wet jackets and pants, grab a hot shower and head next door for some delicious food! We had plenty of parking for our 24ft trailer and truck (total bonus). The cabins were very nice, clean and well decorated. Wi-Fi and smart tv so if you wanted to just stay in and kick back you could. We will absolutely be back and stay at the Gold Mine Hotel!

We kind of got stuck in Idaho City after a week of fishing and traveling around Idaho and assuming we could get a room in Boise, but a major soccer tournament had all the rooms booked. I'll admit we were reluctant to look at the hotels in Idaho City. We ended up walking into the saloon in the same name, that is beside the hotel, to see about a room at the Gold Mine. I met the owner or man in charge, sitting at the bar with his laptop open and he signed us in real quick, everyone was super nice and he personally showed me to the room. I am a lifetime Diamond member with Hilton and stay in a hotel on average 120 nights a year and this room was as nice as any of them and larger than most. It had nice linens and towels, not your scrubby hotel standards, was quiet and we were very please. We went back to the saloon later for dinner and the BBQ was outstanding. Very pleasantly surprised and pleased at our stay at the Gold Mine in Idaho City and wouldn't hesitate to show back up!

We have eaten here a few times and it's become our go to when we come to Idaho City. The food is delicious! So much better than average bar food. The burger and ribs were amazing! Pillowy potato roll and the ribs are fall of the bone with a perfect BBQ sauce! We have also stayed at the hotel in the Sacagawea room. It was so cozy. The bed was extra comfy and the decor was fabulous! Can't wait to visit again when they are playing live music!

I was seeking refuge after a long drive and didn't want to stay in boise. I blindly chose this place after visiting the nearby hot spring and wow. I had the best night here. The rooms are so nice and homey the food next door is amazing and the surroundings are beautiful. 10/10 would recommend. I usually don't write reviews but felt compelled because I had such a good time ! Thanks !

Hotel was clean and everything seemed like they put thought and care into everything from the towel hooks to different flavors of k-cups. It was very beautiful and peaceful. We sat in some cute porch chairs out front of our room while our kids played in the snow. The restaurant was great as well. Great customer service, food and music.

We LOVED staying at the Gold Mine Hotel. Very nice, clean rooms with a comfy bed! Pillows could have been firmer, but we brought our own, so it was all good. They provided some nice hot drinks so that was great. The coffee maker didn't work though. I loved watching the snow from the deck, and also loved heading over to the bar in the evening. Harley's pub was just down the road within walking distance too. Trudy's is right across the street and had delicious breakfast.

What a nice and relaxing experience our stay was at the hotel. Had the best sleep we've had in a LONG time, the bed was so comfy!! Everything of course is new and fresh, and the decor is so warm and cozy. Everything is high quality from the soft sheets to the fluffy, thick towels. Right off the highway, close to restaurant and grocery store. Highly recommend...we will be back!

New cabins, delightfully rustic western motif. Very friendly folks and right next door to the restaurant and bar yet quiet.

We stayed in cabin 10. Fantastic night in Idaho City. Jessie and Steve at the Gold Mine restaurant were extremely friendly and welcoming. Great live music. Will definitely be back!

A great place to get away for the weekend and have a blast I strongly recommend this place! Reasonable prices, great food! I suggest renting one of the cabins

Super cute and comfy. But the best part is the amazing treatment of our dog. The moment they knew she was there they set her up with a water bowl and a treat and took every step to make us feel like she was welcome and loved

Such a great find- we are so happy we decided to stop and grab a bit and drink at the saloon and find that the hotel had one room left and it was one of the coolest rooms with neat antiquities in it for decor- so cute! And seriously the most comfortable bed EVER!!! Thanks Steve

I needed to get away and Idaho city was the perfect lil sport to relax and have fun with some good friends. The hotel was one the the cutest and clean places I have ever stayed the bed was OMG the best I have ever slept in t and the people were just amazing. The bar next to rooms was so much fun and the food was beyond delicious. I just cant say enough about this perfect little slice of heaven..... it is well worth he short drive and you wont regret it the owner has some talent on the weekends and they were littler one of the best live bands I have ever seen. And to top it off we find out the bartender is a straight singer song writer and I was just blown away with the talent that this guy had... Please book a night or two and get up there so you can enjoy a stress free weekend you will not be disappointed! The managers name is Steve and he is a great guy really treats his customers and makes sure you have everything you need and at the bar restaurant he is present and interacts with everyone he made us feel right at home. Thank you Gold Mine for the awesome weekend !
