Alex is an incredibly skilled artisan piano technician. He restored and rebuilt my 1920's Knabe grand, and it is a true pleasure to play and teach on it! I am a professional musician working in NM for the last 18 years and I recommend him to all of my students and colleagues for his dedicated, detailed and beautiful work! The whole shop is a NM treasure, we are so lucky to have them as part of our music community. This is the place to go for any of your piano needs!

I reached out to Alex about the possibility of restoring my mother's piano. The piano has been in the family since my grandparents purchased it for my mom, aunts and uncle to learn how to play the piano. Alex came out and did a visual inspection of the piano to ensure that it was actually worth restoring. During this visit, I learned that the piano was 112 years old. He invited me down to his shop for tour and explained the restoration process and what would need to be restored on my piano. During the restoration, I was given updates and photos of the progress and invited to stop by the shop anytime to see the progress first hand. I called Alexander after another piano repair disappeared on me. I had just had our instrument moved from Seattle WA to Santa Fe NM. In the process screws were lost to attach the peddles to the case. Our piano is over 100yrs old and needed special attention to use the correct hardware to re attach them. Alexander arrived on time with buckets of screws and parts to properly repair my instrument. We had an old Wurlitzer spinet piano that we hadn't used in years and was just taking up space. Back when we did use it, we got it tuned and maintenanced regularly, so it was in decent shape. We wanted to give it away to a good home and we called many places and contacts, but didn't find any takers (some even suggested calling a junk hauler and paying them to remove it!).

At last, one contact referred me to 88 Keys. I called them and Alex said he'd like to take a look at it. He came by later the same day, examined it, accepted it and hauled it off! Very friendly and knowlegeable guy! If I have any further piano needs going forward or am asked for a referral, 88 Keys is it!

We live hours from Albuquerque, so when my family drives in to make any sort of major purchase, we're often apprehensive about what could go wrong, or whether we'll have made the trip for nothing, The experience can be stressful. Alexander at 88 Keys Piano Warehouse showed up a half hour before my family's scheduled appointment. He was knowledgeable, friendly, encouraging, and complimentary of my kids' playing. The piano we had come to see was absolutely as-advertised, and had been beautifully maintained. The owner hired a great salesman/manager. I can't remember his name, but he showed us around the shop, tried to teach my 5 year a simple song, and knew the background on every piano in the store. He made our shopping experience so much fun. And yes, we did buy a restored, used piano from the. We love it!

I've known Alexander and Martin for years, and now they've opened a showroom for used pianos next to their shop. Alexander was the piano rebuilder for the local Steinway dealer, when they were here, and has completely rebuilt many fine instruments, including nine-foot concert grands.

When you search online for used pianos, you never know for sure what you'll find, and often they're a century old with rodent infestations. These guys pick the best used pianos, clean them thoroughly, and repair and adjust them so they play beautifully. I'm excited to be able to refer my customers to a reliable source. The neatness of their shop speaks for itself!

Great place to go and try out pianos. They are very helpful and very patient. They have great prices and a very friendly staff. Highly recommend. It's hidden behind a few buildings but don't let that fool you. Inside is inviting and a great environment.

Alexander was able to tune my older piano and make it playable again. Great price and wonderful service.

There was minor cosmetic damage done to the stand of my Celviano digital piano during a move and Alex was able to repair the damage.

Considering the purchase of a new piano this is the place to go. They have some beautiful restored pianos. And they will give you a tour of their workshop.
