This museum is a gem! It's not much to look at from the outside but inside is a great selection of memorabilia from the early days of the oil boom in Bradford. If you're lucky, you'll be there at the same time as Mr. Fran Bottone, the museum manager. He can answer any and all questions that you may have.

I didn't think I'd enjoy this Museum but I really learned a lot. Would have spent more time there but it was past lunch time

Worth it even if you don't know anything about the oil business. The big tool shop was great and has an exhibit you've probably never seen before. The host was very knowledgeable and took time to explain the items we were interested in. Wish there was more worthwhile things in the gift shop: reproduction maps of the wells or replicas of the nitro canisters would have been a hoot.

Amazing serendipitous find as we drove from Virginia to Niagara. Saw the sign, pulled over just to stretch our legs, and it was wonderful. Curator was incredibly entertaining and informative. Learned so much!

Nice smaller museum filled with old oil mining stuff and scale models of the drilling rigs. Knowledgeable tour guide explains the history of the mining town and shows the real life sized oil derrick outside the museum.

Great local museum to check out in Bradford, PA. The curator was extremely knowledgeable and demonstrated several oil exhibits, including a working engine that would have been used for oil recovery. The museum is very clean, and the displays are well done.

I learned so much from this visit, and had just a wonderful time. It is easily worth the entrance fee, and would be even if they doubled it. Don't miss this opportunity to learn about the area history of oil and gas, and have some great demonstrations.

A really nice museum with alot of history and so much information. The woman who gave us a tour. Could answer any questions we had wil alot of accurate info and examples. I would highly recommend this place for anyone who is interested in history or geology. So stop and learn why pennsylvania oil is/was so sought after for it qualities. And enjoy a few hours where your kids put away their phones.
