Friendly's

Friendly’s is such a great experience! The service is great and the food is fantastic! I have never felt so welcomed before and excited! The flavors of the ice cream is awesome! Overall I had a fantastic experience and I highly recommend it!

Had a lovely strawberry salad for dinner in remembrance of my mom and I coming here when she lived in East Norriton. My waitress Christina had an upbeat personality and made sure everything was great! I miss you Mom! I am sure you are so happy in Heaven with Dad & Jesus!

I wish there were more Friendly’s around us. All around still one of my favorite places to go and I’m 34! My mom used to take us here all the time and it was an all time favorite. I can’t wait to take my kids here and continue the tradition.

Waitstaff was wonderful and always love Friendly’s comfortable and fun atmosphere and the food and sundaes are the best! My 1.5 year old son has a great time.

An unassuming spot at first glance, and honestly I had never heard of friendlys, I don't think we have them in Canada. My wife was excited when we spotted one while away in Pennsylvania, so we stopped in.

Walk in and we were seated promptly. The server was very friendly (which given the name I supposed I'd expect). Really 'on the ball', keeping drinks filled, checking in on how the food/desserts were. It sounds like basic service but honestly you don't get that as much as you used to. But I digress..

The food was quite good, and exceeded my expectations. I went for the triple cheese grilled cheese supermelt (I think it was called), and was delicious. Not too greasy, which was a bonus given the amount of cheese served on this thing. I got fries with it, and they were fine; standard stuff.

The dessert menu is larger than most places food menus, and that's probably why you'll go there. I had a legendary chocolate brownie Sundae (or something like that), and it was very rich. A perfect finish for my meal.

My wife got the "Hunka chunka pb fudge lava cake" and I'm just going to put a photo up because it was so vast I can't describe it in detail.

Coming from Canada I have a hard time getting the jist of what "good prices/value" are in the USA, but now that we've been to a few places, it's quite good value for what you pay. Particularly on the dessert end. Both our desserts were 8.99 each, and I can tell you what you see in the photo would be 20 dollars or more in Canada, so go on and order it.

I think my supermelt with fries was about $13 which seemed fair.

I have read a little about Friendly's since our visit, and it seems they are disappearing, which is sad. I also read many reviews stating poor/ slow service, but again, the service we received was great. I'd love to see Friendly's in Canada.

My main gripe is when it comes to atmosphere. We actually have made 2 trips so far, and both times, it was eerily quiet; no background music or anything. I'd like some sort of background sound, but that's a minor complaint.

For a family diner/dessert spot, this is a good one.

Always been a huge fan of Friendlys, sad to see it so empty. Has such a fun spirit and is so kid friendly. Ice cream is always great, food is comforting.

Mike and our server Elizabeth were so kind and provided amazing friendly service. We will definitely be back. Best service I’ve had at a restaurant!!

friendlys is such an amazing place, always has been. i love going here with my grandmom and getting food, and then ice cream of course. highly recommend 😊

Overall great place, have had a few visits here and there he service and food is good and delivers what you expect! The server, Elizabeth is amazing and makes the visit perfect!

I stop here for fries and ice cream, and sometimes an Impossible burger, after work sometimes on Thursdays. The guy who helps me is so, well, friendly (heh) and so pleasant, I just love this place. There are so many people elsewhere who lack customer service skills (I work in a restaurant too and I have witnessed this in the industry many a time), it's so nice to see that no matter how big a line he has, he's always smiling and so nice. This dude is the best, and I look forward to coming here because of him.

Sean & Kristina were the only two working a large lunch rush and still we were served faster then the leading restaurants. They were sweet, kind, and very professional even when dealing with unruly customers.

Christina S. and Sean were the only two people on duty, we're served in a timely matter. They were courteous, friendly and professional during the lunch rush, and polite to the rude inpatient customers.

Like going back into time! Me and my bestie came here for lunch and everything was wonderful. Our server, Elizabeth D, was so sweet. Place was extremely clean. Food and ice cream was fantastic. Super nostalgic for the two of us. Thanks!

This place is a gem! Man I wish they had these on the west coast. It feels like an old fashioned family restaurant back in the 70s or 80s where you could take the family out without breaking the bank, get good food, and dessert is included.
I can't say enough about how the dessert is included with the kids meals. They're not just phoned in desserts, either. There are multiple options to choose from and they put time into every creation.

I grew up in Maryland and Friendly’s was part of my experience as a kid. I live in Georgia now so I take the opportunity to visit Friendly’s whenever I find one in the area that I am traveling. This was the case this time when I visited the location in Norristown, PA. Even though my order was just a sundae while passing through the area, it was great and so was the amazing staff.
