They have thee BEST banana cake! Always my go to order. Aside from the banana cake they offer a variety of different flavored cakes, cookies, brownies, and other baked goods. This is a small "ma and pop" shop and definitely worth checking out. Parking directly out front is limited but on the street there is parking available as well.

Rita did a wonderful job with the cake and cupcakes for our wedding. She was easily reachable for any questions we had, and everything turned out exactly as we wanted. The cakes were delicious, we got a bunch of compliments on the red velvet cupcakes. They set up everything for us, and rented us stands for the cupcakes, which was so much easier than having to find and buy them separately! Glad we went with this shop.

Small bake shop in Coal Township but they make some of the best cakes. Over the summer I got a cake made for an end of summer party at work and they made it happen with amazing quality and design! It's also a friendly environment every time. Reasonably priced products as well. I'm glad they kept this shop open!

Rita’s made us a delicious wedding day dessert bar that was a huge hit! They will take care of all setup for your wedding day and design a beautiful spread of delicious desserts!

Amazing cakes and muffins. Will continue to visit and get my kids birthday cakes here. Slightly pricey but if you want fresh and beautiful cakes go here. If you want stale and bland cakes that were made a month b4 your need for the cake go somewhere else. They also have a wide variety of baked good such as muffins scones cookies etc. Everything here is amazing and these 3 photos just represent the work they do.

My fiance has been raving about the cheesecake he had from here years ago. We finally ordered one. It did not disappoint. While we were there we also picked up sticky buns that were equally delicious. We will definitely be returning well worth the drive

Rita’s Bakery is the best!! I order cakes and sweets. They are the tastiest and loveliest decorated items. Recently My friends went
and chose sticky buns and chocolate chip cookies. They were very satisfied! Make this your go-to place for sweets n treats. Did I mention that I live in NJ? Rita has always handled all my requests.

Wow! We used Rita's bakeshop to provide desserts for our wedding. I cannot begin to express how thoroughly and genuinely impressed both we and our guests were by the selection. I've never seen so many people who "don't really like dessert" go back for more. All I have to say is.. order more than you think you will need! The cake was soft and tasteful, the icing not overpowering or too heavy. When initially searching for bakeries we tried a few in central PA and it was clear that Rita's was the absolute best. Can't wait for our anniversary when we have our last two remaining cupcakes.THANK YOU!

A few months into planning our wedding, it was time for my husband and I to start thinking about the cake, and since we no longer lived in the area, we had no idea where to start. Thankfully, Rita’s Bakeshop was recommended to us by one of our other vendors who had worked with Rita in the past, so we decided to check her out. We couldn’t have made a better decision!

My first correspondence with Rita was very informative, and based on reviews and her own debrief of her offerings and services, we decided to book a tasting. “Wow!” was all my husband, my parents, and I could say after the tasting. All the flavors we tried were absolutely delicious; to be honest, I wanted to choose them all! We ended up choosing two flavors for our cake: chocolate cake with raspberry filling, and white cake with fresh strawberry filling.

About a month before the wedding, Rita and I had a call to go over final decoration, drop-off, and timing details. The day of the wedding, everything went perfectly smooth, as I didn’t even know she came! The cake was where it was supposed to be, when it was supposed to be, and it looked and tasted amazing! I will, without a doubt, use her again for any other cake requirements I might have!

The most wonderful banana cake I have ever had. Cookies, cupcakes honestly Rita’s would give a run for any ‘city’ well known bakery. Moist, delicious icings, cookies are big and scrumptious.. wish they were closer!

Update Nov 13, 2020: Emily took care of us today and I just had to go online and put in a good word for her because she was just the friendliest, sweetest person behind a counter that I've encountered for a very long time. Good job, Emily, and thank you for your kindness and professionalism!

If anyone has anything negative to say about this bakery, they are obviously insane or have no taste buds! The bakery items here are AMAZING. I absolutely love the chocolate chip cheesecake with Oreo crust. I could eat one everyday, lol. Cannolis are really really good too!

The niece took care of our order yesterday and she was very professional and enthusiastic about her job there. She really made our visit very pleasant and helped us choose the things we wanted to try.

We will be back again and again and again! Highly recommend this place for all your bakery needs. Great little gem in the small town of Shamokin.

I ordered a cake for my friends retirement and there was a miscommunication with the date that I am sure was my fault and the cake was made a week before I needed it. They were completely understanding and very kindly made me another cake the next week. I will use them for every specialty cake from now on. My friend LOVED the cake!

I get all my birthday cakes for my kids here! The cakes taste just as good as they look! The attention to detail is amazing! I recommend them to anyone who what's the best cake ever!

Rita's has the best cakes and pastries in all of Shamokin and Coal Township. My wife shops here alot. She just loves the leftover cake creations. So many tastes in just one cake. If you are looking for the cake this is the place to stop and get it. I give this two thumbs up.

The staff is cheerful and always willing to help. The treats not only look good but are delicious! The scones, cut out cookies, pb Tandy cakes, chocolate cake with pb icing, rice pudding, chocolate peanut butter petite, etc are soooooo good.

After I googled for bakeries close to me .Rita's Bakery was the first one on the list .so I went there yesterday, I got two longfellow's and two chocolate chunk cookies .both tasted fresh and very good .The woman who waited on me was very nice and I found out other info from her about cakes .so I'll be going back there for now on .

Ordered a cake for my daughter 7th birthday. Beautiful and delicious are the only words that come to mind. It was so moist and the peanut butter icing was awesome. Thank you Ritas for pleasing my little girl!

Little pricey, but you definitely get what you pay for!!
